    Half half noodle

I've had the half jjajangmyun half jjampon noodle and it was quite good. Price is reasonable- 8.50 after tax. I personally prefer the jjajangmyun over the other one, but there's little protein in it so I'm just gonna order the seafood jjajangmyun alone next time. Jjampon is also good with lots of squid (shrimp was not very fresh, but what can I expect from food court food). Overall, I would come back.

Dumplings!!!! Steamed or fired, you can't go wrong. Chinese food, cooked by Koreans. What could be better? Definitely better than average Chinese food.

I was craving jjajangmyun today so two of us dropped by Hmart Food court, our staple spot for quick Korean food. I ordered the gan jjajang which was pretty good and filling. I've been to better Korean-Chinese restaurants in the Northeast area but this place is solid for a quick bite in a food court. The owner seems sweet and the food comes out pretty fast. Some recommendations: Fried dumplings- Large and delicious Shrimp dumplings- A little pricey but worth it Gan Jjajang- They saute the sauce Jjambong Mapao Tofu Half Half jjambong & JJajangmyun

All we got here were 2 king dumplings - hand made and huge, and generously stuffed with filling. Nice light dough, $1.90 each.

The best thing here is the price -- it's cheap, which is rare for Korean food. The food came out fairly quickly, but since it was served in stoneware, I expected it to be piping hot -- instead, it was just lukewarm. Even worse, the broth was incredibly bland, lacking the depth and seasoning you'd normally expect from this dish. The portion of soondae itself was also disappointing -- maybe 6 inches max, cut up, which felt stingy for a dish centered around it. The banchan (side dishes) included store-bought kimchi and sweet soy peanuts -- nothing special, but not bad either. Overall, it's one of those "you get what you pay for" experiences. The cafeteria-style seating area was a bit dirty, but that's likely not their responsibility. Still, it impacts the overall vibe. Also, no napkins or hand sanitizer available -- both are kept behind the counter, which makes the place feel a bit unwelcoming and overly cautious. After eating, you're expected to place your tray on a rolling cart, which is fair, but reinforces that this is more fast-food than full-service. Overall: A cheap meal that arrives fast, but the soup was bland, the portions were small, and the dining setup could be friendlier.

I was pleasantly surprised that the meal included a miso soup, side of kimchi, white rice, and boiled peanuts. You can easily split this between two people! The bulgogi was so flavorful and had great heat without being overpowering. I also loved the miso soup. I'd try other items on the menu next time.

If I were comparing this to LA BBQ I would have to give it 1 star... if I were to compare it to NY, GA or even VA K-BBQ then it would get 2 stars. But if you are just judging things from Philly proper... I can give it 3 1/2 stars for the attentiveness of the staff and making sure that all the different meats are available and brought quickly. I just really think for the price, the quality of the meat should be much better. I don't know if people are eating too much and the restaurant needs to compensate for it, but some of the meats were cut too thick and the steak tasted a bit older. The best part of the meal were the 2 stews on the side. They were well seasoned and tasted great! I'll be back to try it again and see if there are any improvements.

The meats were good - in particular I enjoyed the Hawaiian steak, shrimp, and squid. I wish there were more vegetable options than just the mushrooms and onions, since there is just so much meat, but since we ordered the 'unlimited,' we just kept asking our server to bring out more mushrooms and onions. My only complaint is that the same tongs were being used to handle both raw and cooked meat - I always learned growing up to not cross-contaminate, and even when we have hot pot at home and similar dining in other restaurants, there are always at least two sets of utensils for this reason.
