I asked T if he wanted me to cook or bring something home. "What are you making?" he asked. When I told him, without missing a beat he said "take out." Gee thanks. What we ordered was pretty good. Soup -- hot & sour and egg drop wonton -- were a tad better than last time, as were our entrees. Moo shu chicken reminded me of what I used to get in NYC. Found this place while internet searching "cheap lunch." Cheap on the mainline often means $15/$20 for lunch specials& that isn't ideal. When I came across this place with real lunch specials under $10, I ordered immediately for takeout while at work. It's delicious!! First a disclosure- it is sometimes hard to review take-out restaurants because by the time you get things home and eaten, you are doing the opposite of mindful eating. Pak Yue might have suffered for this. We ordered because we were starving and wanted to get home after a long day out. The portions were generous and the price was right. It is definitely a place where take-out is a better option because in shop seating was near-absent and not very aesthetically pleasing. 2025 Update Pak Yue has gotten even better! Their Beef Chow Fun is the best around. I get this at every Chinese restaurant I order from and base my future food orders on this one dish. I know this sounds crazy, but for me l, it's my baseline. Egg rolls are good-not greasy. The fried rice is really good. We like the chicken and house special varieties. Boneless spareribs are great. The cheese dumplings tasted like cardboard with cream cheese icing inside, the egg rolls were tasteless, and the general's chicken had no spice at all, just a sugary syrup on top. Boneless spare ribs good enough, certainly very generous in quantity. Dumplings and eggrolls also acceptable enough. Would not repeat the Orange Beef, though many might like the flavors. Beef not sliced thinly enough and too soggy, just picky about that. Service friendly. Unassuming storefront right off the road. 1 hour parking in front of the store, so can easily pick up. And they are really nice people. - Extremely reasonable prices for standard Chinese takeout. - Following all the standard guidelines for Covid social distancing. Standard reliable takeout Chinese food. I ordered the Chicken and Broccoli. The rice was slightly overcooked but still fairly good. The sauce is sweet and savory in a good balance. I discovered this restaurant while delivering around the neighborhood and decided to stop in and grab some lunch. My first go round, I got the Kung Pao Chicken (Lunch Portion, which comes with either fried rice and soda Or Egg Roll). I took it to go and ate it in my truck and it did not disappoint, it was very tasty, good portion (for lunch). Today, I stopped back in and got the Chicken w/String Beans w/White Rice & Egg Roll. Again, it was very tasty but I think I'd stick with non-sauce dishes (just a personal preference). Their food is tasty, fast & efficient. I will be returning from time to time! read more

Please be advise, stay away. They really deserve no stars a big zero. It's crap food and charging more money for it this year. I could swing with the higher prices. Last quarter the delivery service when was hit n miss, wrong item delivered and accepted.ir. Tonight was last straw, egg flower was thin, more like water was minimal flavor, the big issue shrimp in lobster sauce. If you ever had this dish before the sausage creamy and thick not real sick just normally like a gravy, but it's white color. Tonight's dish was more like soup. Matter fact it looks like they mixed egg flower soup and threw some shrimp in it shrimp and lobster, didn't take much of a lobster sauce to me. Last time I've seen this happen was a business was getting ready to close and go out of business just in the middle of the pandemic. The quality has been slipping. This quarter. The worst of all is the business operators swear this is how they make and lobster sauce. They must've think that I had it before but they're I've had it many times they delivered was nothing more than soup shrimp. I demanded a refund on this order. I just don't know how they can get one order right and the rest. It's either bad management or a business struggling for the bankruptcy, regardless they're never gonna have my business. Bland and burnt. Lo mein was burnt and tasted horrible. I think the bottom of The pot was burnt and the entire dish had that taste. Couldn't eat it. Chicken fried rice was bland. I don't add soy sauce as I like to taste the actual flavor of their food, well I had to add soy sauce and some garlic butter to make it enjoyable. Run by new owners now. Service is very friendly as usual. The New containers they use are very upscale and neat. Also able to reuse if you would like. Their foods are actually pretty good for normal take-out chinese. Exspecially the lo mein is not greesy at all like before. Ingredients might slightly changed abit. But you can always ask them to make the way you wanted. And the portion they give is sooooooo generous! Some people complain how their food taste plain because they use very little to no MSG. Pak Yue is great! I won't stand for any slander :) Every time we have ordered from Pak Yue it has been a good experience. It is more or less no frills, but pretty decent food. I'm not sure why it gets bad ratings- if you're looking for a more culinary experience, maybe try Buddakan or a more authentic spot in China Town. As far as suburban Chinese food goes, Pak Yue does a great job. Their chicken and broccoli with garlic sauce is good, and so is their roasted eggplant. We have gotten their egg rolls and dumplings, also, which are pretty good. Their steamed dishes (like chicken and vegetables) with sauce on the side is a nice healthy alternative. Service is always quick and friendly, and their prices are pretty affordable :) Give them a try- you won't regret it! read more

I was never a big fan of takeout Chinese places until I tried pak yue. They have the Best Hong Kung wonton soup in the area - the wontons are filled with meat and shrimp in a soft wrapping. I'm still a fan of Pak Yue but I am updating my review cause their delivery time has gotten significantly longer. On average I have to wait 45min to an hour delivery. Not terrible but definitely way longer than they used to take. Quality is still good so I just make sure to order way ahead of time. read more

So this place is takeout only. There is street parking that is sometimes tough so most folks cheat a little and park for free at the train station directly across the street. When I walk in the folks are always friendly. Something I really like is that the space is arranged so that it's easy to watch them cook your food. The menu is solid with all the expected choices at competitive prices. My order has always been packaged well. So what about the food? I've never had a bad item. Portion size has been fine and nothing has been excessively oily or greasy. If you're in the area and have a craving for some takeout this is a solid three star place. read more

Fast service no long waits for your food. Friendly staff. THE B A D: Most of the staff smokes so depending on how busy they are often time you need to wade through a cloud of cigarette smoke just trying to get into the door.
