I have my favorites, that's what I always order. For more than ten years. It is always Hunan Shrimp or Shrimp with broccoli. It is always better than excellent based on the always-fresh broccoli florets ( never frozen or worse ) and the amount of plump, succulent shrimp. Authentically spicy when I ask. Dine-hospitality starts with a pot of tea, a bowl of fried noodles, and a saucer of duck sauce. Water too, of course. There is a comfortable, family-like feeling about the place. The service is prompt but not rushed. It is a great place for lunch with friends or folks visiting. Again, the lunch is very generous. Most items are soup / spring roll, white / fried rice, the entrée of course, and fortune cookies for good luck. Prices are reasonable. It's hard to believe that I can enjoy that wonderful Hunan Shrimp lunch special for little more than the cost of a hoagie nearby. Of course I recommend my favorites, but friends ordering other lunch specials have been very satisfied. And we come back. The take-out might be very ordinary; they do a big take-out business. During Covid, the dining room was closed, the demand for take-out was incredible. They work very hard for their success. But enjoy the reopened, cozy, clean dining room and the goodness of family-style Chinese cooking. Clearly, I am very partial to the place for the good food and family atmosphere. Our family we're visiting the city for the weekend and came across this great restaurant. The 2 ladies who greeted the guests at the front were helpful and friendly. We had peanuts allergy in our party and we ordered the Kung Pao Bean Curd without peanuts with no sugar added. When we got back to our hotel, we realized that the restaurant mistakenly put peanuts in the orders. The ladies apologized and offered to make new ones for us without the peanuts when we called back. The dishes were tasty and fresh. We were so very pleasantly surprised. Not too many places would customize orders nor would they replace orders so quickly with such nice attitudes. We have been coming here for several years. We like the food, the prices, the portions, and the convenience in locale and parking. Our favorite dishes include beef and broccoli, lo mein, sweet and sour chicken, calamari. I admit that some of the younger staff could benefit from better customer service training, but I have found the same issues in most stores including "high end" establishments. It's a simple place, so I'll give a simple review. Just wanted to try a different Chinese place for takeout on the way home. If you want egg rolls and wonton soup, like I do often, this place will do just fine. The lemon chicken I had was decent. Maybe slightly dry, but the flavor was there. My wife did not appreciate it as much as it was too dry for her tastes. The chicken and broccoli, my wife said was good, but not as flavorful as she's used to from other places. I sampled it, and I agree with her assessment. But the place is nice and clean, my online order was ready when I got there, and the food was good enough. I'm pretty excited that I finally found some good Chinese food in this area. The funny thing is that I ordered her accidentally thinking it was another Chinese please but I'm glad I did. Located next to the new closed down Wings to Go, this place has the classic cheesy Chinese restaurant interior (which isn't a bad thing in my opinion) and was quiet full for a Wednesday night. I was greeted by two friendly employees and I was back on the road with my food within about a minute. The first thing I noticed was their spring rolls are very small and come in quantities of 4. This intrigued me. They were absolutely delicious and perfectly crispy. The sauce they came in was a little too sweet but paired well with them non the less. I also ordered a pint of pork fried rice which was delicious as well and had a plentiful amount of tender pork. I will be back. read more

I just got done eating my order of shrimp fried rice and beef in garlic sauce and what a delicious meal I enjoyed. The shrimp in the rice was the size of a jumbo shrimp and the freshness was delightful....... The beef in garlic sauce was also amazing......Reallly tastefull and the amount of sauce was just right! I like everything I've tried there, which is the best compliment I can pay a place I've frequented over 10 times. Good quality seafood, meats and vegetables are always fresh and crispy. They use a decent quality frying oil and don't seem to over do it. It's never greasy and always feels light, properly cooked and clean on my palate. That said the cooking and flavor is fair but nothing that is going to blow your socks off. It's pretty standard asian fare with a nice selection of seafood and vegetarian dishes. The General Tso and other "spicy" dishes pack a little heat but are fairly mild. I'd suggest asking them to cook it spicy if you are expecting something that's going to do more than heat up your palate. It would be nice if they had combination dinners, they only carry combo lunch platters. The prices are fair for the area. I would also like to see them fix the place up a little but the dining area is clean and adequate. read more

This place is one of the best local Chinese restaurants. One has to be selective to avoid some of the heavily brown sauced dishes which tend to gum up and over salt and sweeten their dishes. We like to request to be light on brown sauce and that normally leads to better dishes. My favorite are yang chow fried rice, kong pow chicken, Singapore noodles! read more

This use to the best chinese food. The yang chow fried rice use to be awesome, made with white rice and fresh meat and veggies, but now it was awful, the rice tasted very old and the peas were wrinkled and awful as well as the rest of the ingredients. We also had house special lomein, old oil taste to it, again tasted very old. The cheese wontons were dry and uneatable, we also had the spring rolls which were grease soaked and simply horrible. Food is minus 5 stars. As well as when I called they wanted me to order an additonal $6 since we lived so far away, after I said I didnt want to order she asked what was closest and when given landmark she agreed to send order out if I added an order of spring rolls. The chicken's breading was way too fat for the amount of chicken, hence, it was mainly flour. We have only done take-out which is why I am only rating with 4 stars. The order is ready upon arrival and completely survived the travel home - nothing soggy or over cooked. As someone who works and has worked in the restaurant industry for quite some time I am appalled by the service here. I ordered some food online for me and my girlfriend, 2 orders of dumplings, 1 double cooked pork, 1 sweet and sour pork, and 1.5 pints of fried rice. The food wasn't bad but they screwed up my order I only received one dumpling and 1 pint of rice, they informed me of the dumpling situation and asked if I wanted to wait for another order. I had already been waiting for 25 minutes so I said no. When I got home I was surprised to see that I only had half the rice I ordered while it was only a dollar twentyfive I was still disappointed. So I called to inform them of their mistake and was quickly told I was wrong. All I was looking for was an apology. Like I said before I have worked in the industry for a while and customer service is key. There are plenty of other places to eat that are probably cheaper and have better service, to anyone reading this I suggest you not eat here and look elsewhere read more
