Came here as fried rice is comfort food for me. Since moving from the west coast I hadn't found true Wok fried rice. I got shrimp fried rice, small wonton soup and an egg roll. It was about $19 before tip. The restaurant was nice and clean. I went at a non busy time and dinned in. It was nice and quiet. The staff was very nice The wonton soup and egg roll were good as apps, everything was hot and good. The fried rice was my fave style with eggs and scallion (I hate peas and carrots). Ample shrimp and made fresh in good old seasoned wok. I'll def be back here!

This place is not usually crowded when I visit but you can then it's a hidden gem for the people in the area. The food is fresh and delicious. The portions are large enough and the service is always very friendly. Restaurant is clean, and well kept.

Nice looking restaurant, however they only have takeout service as of right now. No Dine In Available. The proportion of the food is pretty decent, and the food tastes great and fresh! The shrimps they have are BIG! Hopefully I will be able to dine in there someday! Could be a decent dim-sum spot in the suburb!

Average Chinese Food This place is nothing special, but it's fast and affordable. The wontons were good but a the soup was bland and needed more salt. It's not a go to place for really good authentic "Chinese Food" Meh

Friendly, fast, reasonable prices, good food/quality. 4.5 stars if they'd allow, so I rounded up.

You have to order the right dish here. The roast pork bowl is my favorite item and my go-to.

While were there, many Chinese-speaking people came in to eat and order out, which is always a good sign. It is a no frills, non-fancy place to eat (kiosk ordering, self serve plastic utensils). We focused mostly on the noodle dishes for this trip, and want to go back to try their other dishes (many which seem to be more geared toward the American palate, e.g, General Tsao's chicken). Deep fried dough sticks (you tiao) - 5*/5, I love these and have not found dim sum places in Chinatown that serve the light, easy to tear apart version of this anywhere and Sang Kee Asian Bistro does not offer this on their otherwise wonder dim sum menu. I am SO happy to find this and will be back again and again just for these. Along with some hot, sweetened soy milk to dip them in, this will be my special treat/snack go to item at Taste of Chang'an. Hooray! Pork & Chives dumplings - 5/5, these are very good dumplings and although I like the filling I make better, I am unwilling to make my own wrappers so I can imagine ordering these for takeout in the future as an appetizer for a party. Hot & Sour soup - 4/5, good overall but could use more hot and more sour. I appreciated how the broth was actually not broth and not as gummy as some hot and sour soups can be. Changan Biangbiang Noodles - 4/5, I appreciated the hand pulled noodles but found the ratio of pork belly pieces to the amount of noodles to be too low so after eating my way half through the bowl I had only noodles left. Flavors are good, but the next day I did not want to eat my leftovers which is a sign. Pork Ribs Noodles - 4/5, my son had this and he and I agreed the pork ribs were more flavorful than the pork belly pieces in my noodles. He also had many leftover noodles with no more meat, and did not want to eat the leftovers. Sauteed Spicy Chicken Noodle - 4/5, my husband had this and it looked more like a chicken/green pepper dish on a bed of noodles. Leftovers had a good ratio of all items in the dish and I did eat these the next day for lunch. When I go back, I'd like to try their zha jiang noodles, pork buns, scallion pancakes, and their other dishes. And I am so happy to have found somewhere on the Main Line where I can pick up fresh, hot you tiao!

We had just picked up glasses at Ardmore Optical, and thought we would have dinner in Ardmore. We…read morewalked up and down the street (W. Lancaster) and didn't see anything very appealing. We were walking back to the car when we passed an outdoor mall, with a few restaurants. We noticed a nice crowd at DanDan, read a few reviews and decided to try it out. It was a Friday around 5:30 and we had no trouble getting a table, although by the time we left, it was getting crowded. We started with the Potstickers (fried dumplings) - they offer chicken and vegetable - we got the chicken. They were delicious- there was a nice crispy sear on one side from the pan fry, yet the dumpling was tender and the chicken filling was flavorful. Our first entree was the Jing Jiang Dish - sliced beef sautéed in a sweet bean sauce and topped with shredded scallions. The beef was tender and the bean sauce, which tasted like teriyaki, was very good. Our second entree was the star of the dinner - Honey Pine Nut Shrimp, which was fried shrimp tossed in a homemade cream sauce with red and green bell peppers. It was excellent! Large, tender shrimp - with a light fried coating were amazing. The cream sauce was luscious - I would never have thought a mayonnaise based sauce with honey and cream would work with shrimp - it was outstanding. DanDan has primarily spicy dishes, but there are several items on the menu with light or no spice for those who prefer not to have it. We will definitely be returning to DanDan for the Shrimp and try a few more dishes

Two of us shared the hand ripped noodles and an order of wonton in soup. Both dishes were fine but not that impressive. There's much better Chinese food in center city Philly (of course), and for the price, I'd rather go somewhere else. Overall, wouldn't really come back, but also wouldn't turn it down if someone else was enthusiastic.

For example, the last time that I was there I ordered a pork dish described as Szechuan with a heat level of 6. I like spicey food, but what came to my table was very mild. OTOH, they have dishes on the last page of their menu that are rated 8 and 10. I can tell you from experience that they do have "character" if you like very spicey food. The dishes are reasonably priced, and service is always very polite and attentive, all of which explains why I go there often. Recommended!!

Post 2025 Christmas dinner: Appetizer: Hot and sour soup. Hits the spot on a cold winter day. Flavors are savory with soy sauce, black mushrooms, and strips of tofu. This soup preps your palate for the Asian cuisine to follow. Also had scallion pancakes to balance textures in the early portion of this meal. Crispy pancakes made with fresh sliced scallions. Paired with the warmth of the hot and sour soup and you're off to a great start. Entrees: -Mongolian beef, -Chinese Cabbage and Mushrooms, -Ma Po Tofu (only if you can handle the heat), -Hot -Spicy Fish and Tofu, -Shrimp lo mein (basic lo mein with shrimp), -Orange Chicken - think sweet and sour sauce but orange flavored including orange zest, and -Orange Chicken w/out sauce. My youngest enjoys Orange Chicken w/out the sauce-- dry like plain popcorn chicken but it's not offered on the menu so this is how we order it. I tried it plain. It's yummy. They really ought to offer an entree that's just the popcorn chicken like Taiwanese popcorn chicken. The servers couldn't any nicer. They know our family when we visit. They know our orders too. Very attentive and intuitive. My husband and one of my kids has trouble with chopsticks. The servers always bring the forks for them. So sweet, they even gave us a New Year's present-- Cheng Du magnet at the end of our meal. This is the best Chinese food in the area without going into Chinatown in Philadelphia. Thank you Cheng Du. We'll be back again for dinner.
