Chicken w broccoli lunch special without the carrots
    Michael D.

Fried rice has little meat and could use more flavor Chicken with broccoli comes with carrots for some reason.. It's a slight bit salty They have more authentic Chinese food but I didn't get a chance to try those yet

HOT HOT HOT !!! It's all good spicy . I was recommended by friends to try out here . Order a garlic cucumber, so good fresh and crunchy . Taste very good . Spicy wanton was good too . Sauce a little soured for me but still good . The spicy chicken taste is amazing good even through the batter was thicker . Meat is smaller .. portion size good . Price good . Overall it's a good place to eat if you like is spicy .

Best authentic chinese food within 100 miles. And friendly staff too. Amazing food. We ordered vegetarian dishes also.

Food was ok, but I wasn't impressed with service / staff. They seemed to rush through everything and were annoyed. I was greeted with, are you ready to order? What a mindset!

Authentic home style Szechuan in a cozy restaurant. This place is real deal - no fancy decor or micro brew dinner night as with Dan Dan and Han Dynasty just delicious food cooked by my Uncle ( just kidding - I'm not Chinese) but felt like I was visiting and eating at a family. Started with the hit and sour soup - the best in town- tofu, pork, bamboo, and other Chinese dried vegetables- perfect spice and broth and ginger .Not diluted by soy sauce or over salted chicken broth. Dan Dan noodle- spicy and peanut perfect.AND the love that noodles were left LONG not all chopped up( my biggest pet peeve is when noodles are broken up to accommodate customers with a fork lol) Ma Po tofu is the bomb! The fermented black sauce and the chilies and others pepper spices and velvety tofu was so comforting with a scoop of hot rice . Prices are reasonable considering portions are generous to share. I took the leftovers home and enjoyed the rest for lunch during the week. I highly recommend this place if you like spicy- really spicy food. If you order mild you are missing the boat on authentic Szechuan cuisine. Stick to your local carry out if you want generic American Chinese. I'll be back for a hot pot or dried pepper dish...can't wait I'll be back

Today they are busy and I find the food not so great. I always have pork intestine clear noodle, and it looks very different from other times. The soup base looks thicker and it's of different color too. The taste is off. I'm a bit confused. The chicken appetizer dish is of no good too. It looks right but tastes bland. Overall not a good day today.

Ever since I went to the restaurant last week, I've been craving to come back! My friend and I ordered mapo tofu without pork and a shrimp dish. It was delicious... I ate so much, yet I still had some food to pack for home! My friend did think the mapo tofu was super oily, but I enjoyed it. It was spicy and tasty. The shrimp dish was also amazing and spicy. We were also served tea which went very will with the dishes. The service was very nice and prompt. The interior was very "no-frills". Just good food and good company. That's it :) I'm looking forward to coming here again!

Cheng Du how do you do? Classic Sichuan cuisine that is delicious and priced right. Located in Paoli shopping center makes for easy parking. BYOB since they don't sell any alcohol here. To gauge the spiciness of the dish with 10 being the hottest. Look for the number attached to the dish. You can ask them to adjust the level to your comfort level. Liked: Great balance of flavors and textures: 1. Spicy beef noodle soup 2. Bok choy with shitake mushrooms 3. Pork kidneys 4. Kung pao chicken 5. Dan dan noodles Liked a little less: 1. Spicy dumplings - The dumplings tasted like the ones you buy in an Asian supermarket. 2. Fried pork ribs with fried panko bread crumbs - They tasted like ribs you would get at a big box store. The staff was cordial as we were seated promptly and tea was brought over. Portion sizes were generous and the Sichuan peppercorns, garlic and chili peppers gave our dishes a sweet and fruity numb tingling punch that was well accepted. They accept Major credit cards and if you pay in cash they'll give you a discount.

Have heard this place for a while and today we finally got a chance to come for lunch. The place was not crowded at all: actually there were more takeout orders than dine in. A big compliment to how fast the dishes were made! For the food themselves, I was not impressed at all... we were not fans of spicy food, so we ordered both dishes with mild hot. They both turned out to be too hot for us... but that's okay. The mushroom dish had three different mushroom. I like that one a lot. The chicken was tender. The thing we don't like is that the dishes were not tasty.. We were both very light eaters at home and we don't like salty food. But today the two dishes were just hot and spicy, without enough salty flavor...

My wife and I had a delicious NY Eve Dim Sum dinner last night and as usual they hit on all cylinders...including some nice updated decor since last visit. I was a little concerned pulling into parking lot as there was a brand new Sushi/Japanese storefront right next door, and thought perhaps someone decided to take up the challenge of competition....only to be thrilled to learn that M&M ownership actually expanded next door to add even more amazing dinner options!!!! Can't wait to get back and try that experience. This is by far the best Chinese and now Japanese food I have had in this area in an extremely friendly but relatively low key setting....although the new Sushi setting is definitely a bit more upscale in terms of decor. The Owner is still genuinely one of the nicest and most hospitable restauranteurs I have ever met!!! We will be back....again and again...if you haven't tried it yet you are absolutely missing out on a local gem...and dare I say well worth a car ride if you're not local to Paoli/Wayne/Berwyn/Devon/Strafford/Malvern etc area!

I used to frequent Poseidon--mostly for lunch, sometimes for dinner, and a few times for takeout…read more One evening in the summer, I stopped in to order takeout. The young woman at the desk was engaged in a conversation with her friend. Both were about 17-19. I stood patiently waiting for quite a while. Finally I spoke up and said "May I see the takeout menu?" She handed one to me, and went back to her conversation. The "friend" sneered at me and moved so that she was blocking me from the register. I couldn't believe it. After a while I looked at the employee and finally said "Oh hey, I am ready to order." She glanced up and nodded. But went back to listening to her "friend." At this point I walked up to the register and said "Excuse me but I'd like to order." The "friend" GLARED at me, spitting venom from every pore. Then she launched into a TIRADE. I ignored her and placed my order. I won't lie though, I was fn shaking. Here I am, a middle-aged woman who's endured some trauma and BS in my life and come out on the other side, and this nasty little B is taking me on?! She continued to glare at me the entire time I was there waiting for my food, up to and including when I walked out the door. It was APPALLING. How no one got involved is just disgusting. I spoke to an employee and asked for the manager/owner. She said they weren't there. I left my name and number and asked for a call back. Heard nothing. The food is OK--not worth abuse. I never went back to Poseidon.

No onion no garlic vegetarian would need to be mentioned. As I come back and try other items on the menu, I will update this review. Edit: I just tried the following: Good Fortune - love these dish! I think this is the money dish, my favorite so far. Balls are made of mashed tofu with three kinds of veggie meat. Not quite westernized flavor. Broth is very good, a teeny bit oily but will not detract me from having and finishing this up. Not quite salty, perhaps on the verge of my taste. The broth has an herbal flavor (perhaps it's the star anise which is not too strong so that's great!) and you'll get lily blossoms and wood war mushrooms. When you order this to go, they separate the broth from the balls. This is what I will come back for. General Tsao's Tofu - good typical General Tsao's dish, sweet sauce. Opted for this instead of the faux meat. Not quite crispy before the sauce is poured (ordered this to go) but I'm not sure if this will be crispy if I eat this at the restaurant fresh from the kitchen please someone tell me. Vegetable buns - good savory flavor, not quite western flavor. What that means I can't explain to you because Idk. Bun to filling ratio: 1.5 to 1, that's good as it's not all bun. I think they use the US regular wheat flour which is different so this bun is heavier than Asian buns. Happy to try more dishes but Good Fortune will always be on my order.
