Margaret Kuo's is a wonderful restaurant. I find a seat at the bar and enjoy a cocktail as well as a few apps after a rejuvenating pedi & mani in the complex. I usually stick with the same things, because I love them! The Spring Rolls are always fresh, hot and crunchy! The Scallion Pancakes are prepared perfectly! The Rock Shrimp Tempura is succulent and tender on the inside and crunchy on the outside. It comes with a delicious yum yum dipping sauce. I love how creative they are with their cocktails. I ordered an Espresso Martini and the owner said, "we make it OUR way." Lol I said, "I'm ready for YOUR WAY!" The Espresso Martini was created with vodka, Khalua and Bailey's Irish Cream. It was TASTY. They have a Lychee and Ginger Martini that are magical! They were in a Cocktail Competition with their Kumqat Old Fashioned as well. I highly recommend you try Margaret Kuo's!

Stopped in on a whim for an early dinner after a doctors appointment at Riddle Hospital. After we ordered, the waiter brought house made marinated pickles and spicy peanuts gratis for the table--the pickles had a lovely combo of sweet followed by a somewhat pleasantly addictive hotness. The peanuts were spicy little nuggets perfect with the wine we ordered. The dragon roll was artistically prepared and had wonderful flavor. The Pad Thai was very good as well. The service was excellent and the decor is top notch. You can even eat outside on the balcony under umbrellas. Good to know: The main entrance is above the TJ Maxx near where JC Penny used to be and Happy hour specials M-F 4-6 p.m..

    The lychee martini was delicious!

We went here last minute as we had a 40-minute wait at a local hibachi restaurant and decided to bail. We've been to their establishment on State Street in Media. This one in the Granite Run complex is definitely more modern and upscale. We started by having cocktails at their bar which seemed stylish and modern at first until we noticed dozens of supplies including boxes and paper towels blocking the right side of the bar by the window. Not a pretty sight. My lychee martini with Gray Goose was delicious though. When we were seated for dinner, we appreciated the complimentary pickled cucumbers and peanuts on the table. As an appetizer, I had the vegetable hot and sour soup with shiitake which was served 5+ minutes after my dinner companions received their soups. The tiger roll, which I had as an entree, was different with spicy salmon and shrimp. A step up from the usual Chinese food although if their bar area was cleaned up, we might stop by just for cocktails.

So excited that the chef from Wayne (permanently closed) is now here to make just about everything off the Chinese menu and Taiwanese breakfast on the weekends. It is a blessing to have Taiwanese food so close to here. The Tainan Dan Zai Noodle Soup was exceptionally good. The broth with fried scallions and they used marinated pork belly chopped up as the topping. Very authentic Taiwanese flavor. The bamboo was savory good; it was my mom's favorite dish at Margaret Kuo's in Wayne. The loofah was good just a little salty today. The mountain medicine root was cut with crinkles. Very healthy and delicious. The oyster pancake was delightful. Flavors on point. The beef tendon in hot chili oil was very good. My son could not stop eating it. So satisfied and grateful to have Margaret Kuo's back at Granite Run and now the chef from Wayne. Service was excellent even out on the patio. Our waitress came out every often to check on us. Will be coming here regularly.

    Espresso martini, delicious!

The edamame is good. No complaints. All the sashimi and sushi we ordered was a la carte. The presentation was beautiful. The fish was fresh. Just wished maybe they were a little more firm. Maybe they were not as cold. Also wish the seaweed was crispier. I would come back on a weekend because they probably get fish shipment on Friday. I came on a Monday evening. They also said on weekends they have more special fishes. I would also like to try the tempura ice cream next time The fried rice was very good. The beef was tender and they cut it into smaller pieces for my son. The service was really good. The waitress just forgot to explain that special fishes like uni, Ikura and amai ebi you can not +$1 for three pieces. The staff is super nice. I would definitely come back. I would like to come back during the weekend for more specials. They are BYOB. Very happy to have another Asian restaurant in this area.

A good amount of flavor, crunch Also ordered the garlic steak bites appetizer. Was not asked how I'd like them cooked so I just went with it. I'm a rare steak girly. Unfortunately these were very overcooked but the flavor was there, but I could not eat them. Would have liked a little ginger dipping sauce to go with as well for a little zing.

I read pretty positive reviews so I went a had a booked it. Plenty of parking in the lot. We had late reservation so we didn't have any wait time. Upon arriving, we were promptly seated in a window booth. Light was dim for an intimate atmosphere. The decor is modern and walking in you see the large attractive bar with decorative gold lights. We started with a spepper squid appetizers. The batter was crispy, however, the squid was a bit chewy, bland and greasy. I'd not recommend.. The beef gyoza was cooked perfectly- pan seared and steamed. We ordered chicken curry and a sashimi deluxe . The curry was delicious. Vegetables were not soggy . Medium heat. The sashimi blew me away! Beautiful presentation with sushi rice under each fish. The best in Mainline! I'm coming back ! Miso soup was perfect- small pieces of tofu and Wakame seaweed. Cocktail was - ok - - can't beat the mixologists at Blue Elephant. - I'd get an Asian beer next time. 5 stars
