Really great sushi! I've been coming here since I was a kid and it's probably one of the oldest sushi spots around- aside from Kooma in town, and a couple of others- but it still makes the OG list. Ordered takeout from here twice and both times the food has been incredible. I've been looking for a go to Chinese food place and I've finally found it. Their lo mein is some of the best I've ever had. It is so flavorful and the chicken in its seemed like it's marinated in something or absorbs whatever it is cooked with really well because there is absolutely nothing plain about this dish. It's simply delicious. Their fried rice is also yummy and the wonton soup was so tasty. I've had a lot of flavorless wonton soup in my day but that is not the case here. My wife ordered the chicken teriyaki off the Japanese side of the menu and she LOVED it. I tried a bite and loved it just as much. I just can't believe how much flavor is packed into their food. Def worth the money, and the staff is so friendly and very accommodating and reassuring when it comes to allergies! read more

Wasabi, wasabi, why does that sound familiar... Wait, is this place related to the numbered Wasabis like Wasabi 5 in Exton? Let's find out... Our order was Beef Mei Fun, House Special Lo Mein, Sesame Chicken, and Steamed Pork Dumplings.... No, this place cannot be related to Wasabi 5, because, damn, no mediocrity here... The mei fun rice noodles were perfectly cooked and included some finely shredded rabbit food for texture, and the beef, well, unlike Wasabi 5, was actually there, and extremely tender and tasty. Again, unlike Wasabi 5, they have House Special Lo Mein which had plenty of meat and shrimp and while there is a spice I can't identify, was very good. Similarly the sesame chicken had a subtle flavor I couldn't pin down, but the chicken was slightly crispy and perfectly cooked. Again, the pork dumplings had a reddish spice tinge to them inside and an unidentifiable flavor but were very good. The mindbend here is how all of this was cooked and came out fresh in 6-7 minutes. I ordered takeout from here for the first time recently as they were open on a Monday when most other Chinese restaurants were closed. It's a small place in a shopping center and they were busy with takeout orders when I arrived. Food was good, staff was friendly and food was ready on time. That's about all you need. read more

Stopped in quick for first time and just order 2 things, house special Lo Mein and Steamed Pork Dumplings take out. Both were excellent. More important, I left my wallet behind and before I got home the hostess called me to come back and get it. They have a customer for life. That, and while waiting for my order I watched the Sushi Chef preparing some rolls, I'm going back to try them soon. read more

This is the best Chinese food in West Chester. I've been coming here for years. Every dish I've tried is delicious. Whether it's lunch, dinner, or take out, the service is always prompt and the staff is always friendly. Be warned- it does get very busy on the weekends. Often every seat is filled for dinner and there's a constant stream of people to pick up their take out orders. It's BYOB- which is becoming a rarity in the West Chester area. My favorites? Crab rangoons for an appetizer and the General Tsos for an entree. We love this place! read more

Wasabi provided takeout for our Holiday party and it was a huge hit! The manager worked with us on our number of people and money we had to spend. Fried Rice, Chicken and broccoli, Veggie lo mein, egg rolls and dumplings were all delicious! They provided sauces and plates, napkins, forks. Even carried it out to my car. Guys behind the bar are artists at making beautiful rolls and like to give you stuff to try if you ask questions and talk to them. They don't speak a lot of English but they try. Went for the first time and it was delicious got the spicy tempura lobster roll and it was amazing. Display/appearance of food is very delicious. Needs improvement in staff service, took about 10 mins for them to realize we were ready to order. It is small inside and kinda cramped but light displays are very nice. It's a little expensive. The little dessert they give when they bring you your check is delicious, lightly fried bananas so sweet and juicy! read more

We were fortunate to find this restaurant after moving to the area....the food is always excellent and the staff are friendly and go out of their way for you! I didn't realize that they close at 8, when we placed our order at 7:50pm. I didn't notice their calls to my cell (my volume was off), and arrived at 8:30. One of the staff was waiting for me for a full half hour after they closed with my food. I was so apologetic and she said not to worry, super nice people there. And the food was perfect :) read more

Been coming here for years, a lot of times my girlfriends and I would meet and bring a bottle of wine. Food has always been really good. This is my second time eating here since Covid, my girlfriend and I had an order for take out. They only let one person in the building at a time, the line was long Outside but moved quickly. I went to eat at Wasabi for the first time the other day and it was great!! The seats were comfortable and the place is very nice and clean. They have an extensive menu with a lot of different options. We ordered the love boat. We had the option of having salad or soup. The soup was the biggest portion of miso soup I have had at any restaurant. It was delicious! The boat was amazing!! Everything tasted so fresh! We were so full from the soup and boat, but we couldn't resist getting dessert, a vanilla tempura ice cream. Wasabi is my go to restaurant for sushi in West Chester. Sushi is delicious, fresh, and affordable. I always start with the Kani salad and steamed dumplings. They have a dinner special of 2 special rolls with soup/salad for $25. I prefer simple rolls or individual pieces of sushi so I've never ordered this, but we love ordering the sushi boat. I used to really enjoy this restaurant. However, Mother's Day ruined the entire experience. It was just a simple order for pick up. They quoted my wife 15 minutes. I showed up 10 minutes later and expected to wait a few minutes. That turned into one hour and 20 minutes. There was a line of people just waiting to pick up their food. What made me made is the woman answering the phone was blatantly lying to other people who called to order. She was quoting them 30-40 minutes. Everyone was waiting over an hour. It seems she didn't want to lose business by telling people the truth. For that, I won't return. Lack of integrity in business is unacceptable. Even when it is something so simple. read more

I don't usually write reviews, but this place honestly deserves one. I stopped in not expecting anything crazy, but the food completely surprised me. The sushi was super fresh and really well put together & you can tell they actually care about quality. I tried a couple different rolls and every one of them was solid. The fried rice was also really good, not dry like a lot of places make it. It had a ton of flavor and didn't feel greasy at all, which I appreciated. But the highlight for me was definitely the General Tso's chicken. It had that perfect balance of crispy and tender, and the sauce wasn't overly sweet or heavy -- just really well done. Overall, everything tasted fresh, portions were great, and the whole experience just felt worth it. I'd definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for good Asian food, especially if you're into sushi and classic takeout dishes done right. I'll 100% be coming back again. read more

the food was amazing we ordered take out they do go a little heavy on the veggies in there rolls but thats not really a bad thing. the service was quick and mostly everyone on the staff seemed happy except the lady running the register she seemed more bothered than anything and almost mad that i came before my order was ready. like many others have commented food atmosphere etc excellent as far as the front counter girl she kinda bums you out by not really seeming happy at all just miserable even after you try saying nice things to at least brighten the mood read more

my family have been here ordering sushi couple times a month for a year. i post yelp here today is just to say their food is really disappointed. the chicken w. broccoli i ordered for carry out had plenty of dirty oil at botton of box when i open at home. (that is why the food cost cheap.) my 12 years old son was sick after he eated the 2 spicy tuna rolls. we are missing the quality food back to a year ago. hope my post would get manager ' attention. but my family would definitely never go back again. read more

I was there with my girlfriend last night for her birthday! I heard this place from my friends for a while!That was a fantastic night!Our waiter was super friendly,polite and efficient! The decor and food were amazing! We loved the sushi, finally,my lovely girlfriend got the complimentary fried ice cream for he birthday! We had arranged the party with friends. It is a Japanese-Chinese menu. I ordered the Mango-chicken. It should have been listed as MANGO and some chicken. Served in a scooped out mango shell, quite tasty. BUT, it was about eighty percent mango and twenty percent chicken, and that may be generous on the chicken. sushi is excellent so are the Chinese dishes. The spicy tuna roll was fantastic, very spicy. we will be back! read more

After reading some of the less than great reviews on Wasabi, I first hesitated to go there with a group of friends. But we decided to see for ourselves. What a surprise we found. Food beyond superb ... no problem with the five stars ... we could go higher. The setting was comfortable and the service was fine. Wow ... we flew from CA to PA drove to West Chester ... wanted sushi ... found this place near where we were staying AND in the same shopping center as a State Store (wine) ... Great food ... convenient location ... and the menu ... seriously a bit of everything Asian ... the PadThai with shrimp was GREAT! So glad we got lucky and found Wasabi. read more

Absolutely love this place! They are always packed in the evenings so make sure to get a reservation or if you're getting carryout be prepared to a wait a little, as there is always a line. They're on top of it though. Love the staff. Highly recommend the fried green tea ice cream and the shrimp mei fun! read more

This place is awesome. Spicy tuna tare tare and fantasy lobster roll were some of the best sushi I've had in the area. Very fresh and artfully plated. Owners seem to take a lot of pride in their food. Service was above and beyond very friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back! read more
