I was in West Chester, PA, for a special event at the QVC/HSN studios, on Sunday, March 23, 2026. HSN host, Bobbi Ray Carter retired after 43 years, on-air. Lovely live studio audience event. I stayed at The Warner Hotel, which was very pleasant and only 2 blocks from TSUNAMI, my Sushi Lunch Favorite!! (I'm from NYC, so this calm, chill music vibe is much appreciated! ) I recommend TSUNAMI. If I was staying longer, I'd also try some of the Thai food offered here, too. Yesterday, I did see a lovely iced Thai Tea or Thai Coffee, not sure which, but it looked great. Enjoy a meal here. And relax. And, the gelato place almost next door, was enjoyable last night. This is a spot serving Asian food in Westchester. Perhaps it was poor choices on my part but I opted for the Thai dishes and the sauces/seasoning is just not Thai. We got the pad thai and pad see ew. I guess I should have guessed that this would not be very authentic because I was debating between the drunken noodles and pad see ew and was told that they were the same except that one had spice and the other did not. Another person in our group had the new york teriyaki hibachi. I had a bite and it was better than the Thai dishes, but probably not good enough to make me want to go back. The pluses: Portions are very generous and the service is great. They also offer a lunch menu from Monday through Saturday. The minuses: the Thai dishes have a spin to them and do not taste anything like the dishes they are named after. Walked by this place for a while and finally went in. This was probably the best sushi place I've been to in West Chester. I read reviews for this place before I went and was interested to see what type of experience that I would have. I'm happy to say it was a positive one! This is defenitly a family establishment with children of the staff present but they were quiet and it didn't bother me. The staff was attentive and everything that came out was delicious. They have a decent sized menu + seasonal specials and everything was reasonably priced. The chicken tempura and bang bang shrimp were great starters and all the rolls were fresh and delish! Never a bad time at this BYOB. Servers are great, food is great, all you could ask for. Very accommodating. Got sushi/ sashimi boat for two that came on a boat. I highly recommend getting it with shrimp. The Pad See Ew was my favorite dish. Definitely on the spicier side so be prepared for a kick. Noodles were perfectly thick and the beef was yummy and tender. The Massamam Curry was creamy with the cumin adding an earthy depth to it. In my very first order they gave me an item for free, summer rolls. Markup in restaurants is not great, and they had no idea if I ever would be back. That's class. I've been back since for a couple years. Every time they throw in a freebie, but that's not what captured me. So there's a very cheap parking garage around the corner. It's very popular bc it's so cheap. I thought I'd have to pay $10 to park. Nope. $1.50. Ilike the fact that they bring you water with the paper still on the straw. I had the takoyaki. It was good. Different. More flat on the surface than sphere shaped but I'm here for the taste. Also had drunken noodles. A huge freaking plate of noodles. When it arrived, I thought, there's no way I'm finishing this. I didn't even finish half, which is usually my goal/stopping point. There was just no way. (This is after I just burned 600 calories working out, so yeah, it was a lot of food). There was so much food, I ate it there, as well as for 2 lunch days. Will I be back? The sushi for 2 was supposed to come out with spicy tuna roll and a specialty roll which we ordered the Sunrise roll. Instead they brought out a artificial crabmeat roll and then was charged $3 for choosing the Sunrise roll. For how much I love Asian food and sushi, I'm surprised it took me this long to try Tsunami. I guess I've always been intimidated by the parking situation, and figured Michi Sushi is closer to me and has a parking lot. We actually didn't order the sushi (but I'm definitely coming back to order it!) We ordered the beef udon soup and drunken noodles. The noodle soup was pretty mild in flavor, I think it could have had more taste to it. The drunken noodles were good and the perfect amount of spicy in my opinion. We also got bubble tea which came in fancy wine-like glasses. The kids I were with thought it was so cool. The bubbles were also a great texture, which means they were fresh - as boba has a short lifespan of 4 hours max. The boys didn't finish their drinks and our waitress brought over to-go cups without us asking, which was thoughtful.
