This is one of the local favorite because they offer value and quality on either their Japanese or Chinese menu. We tried their lunch special bento box and it did not disappoint, so delicious! I've also tried their sushi before and was pleasantly surprised by their quality. The rice was cooked perfectly and the portion is reasonable for the price. my girlfriend and I had lunch at this wasabi5 4-29-26. I'm familiar with wasabi ( They had one in West Chester). We had a lovely time. The food was absolutely delicious! The presentation of the food was quite impressive. We loved the dishes and the cups that the food was served on... Very pretty. Service was good. We were there for several hours, catching up and chatting and nobody bothered us. The portions of the food were really generous. In fact, I had two more meals of my Mongolian beef, which was outstanding. prices were very reasonable, certainly and especially so in comparison to some restaurants these days which are getting more and more expensive for less & less value. Wasabi is the exception thank goodness. so shout out to wasabi Team. Thank you for a wonderful lunch. We will be back and we will be talking you up to our friends. read more

We just moved to the area from out of state, and have tried countless other Chinese food places trying to find our new local spot. SO THANKFUL and RELIEVED to have found Wasabi5 in Exton!! We have had many large orders from both the Chinese and Japanese menus prior to wiring a review to make sure the quality/service/atmosphere was consistent. The sushi is always fresh and flavorful, the chicken dishes are always fried perfectly without ever feeling greasy or too heavy, and the sauces are amazing. The rice is fantastic, and their vegetables in their dishes are always never soggy!! Sides are also superb including their crab ragoons, egg rolls, edamame. The soups are wonderful, best hot and sour soup I've ever had, and my kids love the wonton soup! The cost per dish and the portion of amazing food you get with it is 1000% worth it. We even purchased a large order for a family gathering for Christmas to give myself a break from cooking, and everyone was so impressed by the food quality. We haven't sat down to eat in the restaurant, we've only ordered for pickup. However, each time I've walked in the restaurant, it is clean, the staff is always so kind and helpful, and our orders are always prepared quickly and accurately. I can't rave about this enough, and I promise I was not incentivized for this review. I just want everyone to enjoy this place! First, kinda curious naming a Chinese, wait, Chinese and Sushi... hmmm.... Okay, okay, well, yes, it's kinda like the menu, confusing. First, this place feels like it should be in a mall foodcourt, if malls were still a thing. Instead it is situated in the "dead corner" of this shopping center, where every food startup has so far gone to die. So, the food, the Beef Mei Fun wasn't much fun, nor was there much beef, but a lot of Mei. It is tasty, just an overwhelmingly noodles forward dish. The eggrolls taste, feel, and look like they came frozen from a supermarket. Lastly, the Shrimp Lo Mein (they don't offer a House Lo Mein) is pretty good. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and their lo mein has a good texture and is tasty. After one try I'd say whassup Wasabe 5, middle of the road Chinese in an area full of middle of the road Chinese offerings. read more

I was in Exton and in the mood for Asian cuisine. I wanted something different than my usual place. I decided to try Wasabi5. I arrived at the beginning of the dinner hours, so I was the only one in the restaurant.....but not for long. People started piling in and it looked as if Wasabi5 had a robust take out crowd as well. I started with an appetizer of an egg roll and fried dumplings. The egg roll was very tasty and really Iiked the fusion of the sweet sauce and hot mustard dip. The dumplings were also tasy, particularly the soy dipping sauce had an amazing taste to it. The General Tso Chicken was white meat, which Is the standard (I always ask) was tasty, but a little too crispy. The broccoli was good and the hot peppers were different than I've seen in General Tso, but they were HOT! The fried rice (small upcharge) was the best I've had in quite some time. The orange with a toothpick was a nice ending touch. Sounds like a 5-Star experience....but here's why Wasabi5 is a 4-Star. Pepsi products. Although Coke is a personal preference, I think both Coke and Pepsi should be offered if you are serving in cans. Poland Spring Water is good, but 12 oz bottles for almost $3 each is a fleecing - offer large Fiji bottles and charge $5 per. The General Tso dinner entree was pricey as there was not an accompaniment of soup, egg roll, or salad. However, the portion seemed adequate. The server was nice, but as the dining room became more crowded, the attention to tables became a little more infrequent. This is not a deal killer, but a "pay by phone" QR would be a nice touch as it would free up servers for more service rather than processing payments. Based on the value of the entire meal...I believe that it was about $6-$7 more than what I thought to be true value. A bit more pricey. The server told me that Wasabi5 has only been open for about 6 months. Although this was a 4-star experience for me, I would return. read more

We have been looking for a good Chinese restaurant, and have several disappointments under our belts (pun intended). You know almost instantly with Chinese food whether it's good or not. Wasabi popped up as a new option, and we tried it. Egg rolls, chicken with broccoli, shirt with walnuts- fried rice with shrimp, coconut and pineapple. Very tasty! We will be back. read more

Wanted to try this place for some time so when visiting a friend I decided to get take out. The sweet and sour chicken was delicious. The batter for the chicken was amazing and the sauce was classic. The inside of the restaurant was clean and the staff was very friendly. The sushi was ok. I wasn't blown away. Maybe it was my selections? But I wouldn't order sushi again. Since this place has opened, my husband and I have been here about 6 times, because we really enjoy it. The food is fresh, the service is good, the prices are fair, and the ambiance is good for a strip-mall restaurant. Try the Lucky Apple (appy), the Tom Yum soup (if you like spice), and the Spider Roll, among many other good options. There are plenty of options for Japanese and Chinese in the area, but this is one of our two favorites. read more

You can't order Japanese and Chinese food in a restaurant - it's not authentic. We have it a try with their sushi and it was terrible which I kinda knew it would. There are other better sushi joints around but this isn't it. Don't get why it has so many stars - nothing to rave about. read more

We've been trying all the Chinese and Japanese restaurants between here and Reading, trying to find something decent. This place definitely takes first place. While their sushi is not great, it is the best around. California rolls are better than their fish, but their fish is not bad. It beats everyone else in the area pretty easily. On the Chinese side, I'll start with the chicken fried rice because it is the best fried rice I've ever had. I tried their shrimp fried rice on a second visit and it is really good too but not as good as their chicken fried rice. We tried their egg roll and spring rolls and both were good. The rolls might not be up to a quality level that everyone loves but we liked them. Kani salad was good but there is one place with better in Exton. Cashew chicken was good. Not great but I don't want to complain too much because there is a lot of Chinese restaurants in this area with bad chicken and this was actually good but maybe a little over cooked. I would order it again though because it had a good flavor. Long story short, we are done looking and will probably plan to just go here from now on for Chinese and Japanese. read more
