We got a bunch of sushi tonight and they put it on a lovely tray. Unfortunately, my daughter is a vegetarian and she wouldn't have eaten anything that had touched fish, including the tobiko. I asked if they could remake the veg rolls and offered to pay. Even though it was my fault for not requesting the rolls to be separate, they remade the rolls on the spot at no extra cost. At long last, it seems there's a pretty good Asian restaurant with viable gluten-free options! Having seen some good reviews online, we ordered from them for takeout, some sushi rolls and the gluten-free General Tso's Chicken (seriously?). The chicken was really tasty, and it went well with the broccoli and brown rice. Even upon reheating, it was still quite good. The sushi was pretty good as well, with gluten-free soy sauce used in the making. I guess there aren't gluten-free soy sauce packets, so we got regular packets, and they included a fortune cookie too, even though it was a gluten-free order. Overall, pretty good food, and being able to have gluten-free Asian food is a big plus! read more

The rolls weren't in awful shape but since it's a takeout operation I don't feel it's reasonable to have too much of an issue with intricate rolls not holding together perfectly in the transport home. Normally my favorite place to have Chinese food. Not so much on recent orders. Wrong items received. On my next order I indicated this on the online order and asked for the order to be checked. On this I ordered House Special Soup, and it was not much more than broth and 2 dumplings nothing else. We also ordered 4 entrees and the entire family got sick immediately after consuming. I have to save it was a very positive experience for us first timers. We ordered the fried pork dumplings,, which were very tasty. Would definitely get again. I'm so sad I didn't have a 4 1/2 star experience. What gives! I'm not usually one to complain about cleanliness, but my friend had sticky gunk under her Seat at the Table (Solange, 2016) and that stunk. Food: Scallion pancakes had wonderful flavor I would recommend them. However they're very crisp and unlike a softer, more traditional pancake. I got the Mala Chicken which was fried and sinfully good but it was your standard Chinese chicken. Good sauce but the veggies were chopped into large pieces and tasted crisp and undercooked (But not bad?). It seemed like the sauces were watered down and added to the veggies after they were lightly steamed. Dish to avoid: the spicy red curry with potatoes, onions, carrots, asparagus. The chicken seemed frozen and reheated, or over-boiled. It was mushy and had a texture that made me think "food poisoning." A good, delicious, flavorful Asian dish has veggies that are bursting with flavor, texture, and coated in a rich sauce. This dish had none of that. The sauce was too thin and oily and the steamed veggies were meh. Honestly I'm pretty confused about the long waits... does everyone just love the sushi? The orange chicken? Wish I got the sushi!! Picked up some takeout from here with my friend. They gave very generous portions of the beef lo mein. The meat was very tender and the noodles were well flavored. My husband and I were looking for good Asian cuisine and this place was recommended to us. I ordered a tuna roll and pork dumplings. My husband ordered a kiss of fire roll. I did not realize that their tuna roll would only consist of two pieces, and it cost $6! If I knew there weren't going to be more pieces, I would not have ordered it for that price. Since moving to Delaware, I have struggled to find a sushi joint that was more than just okay... that is, until we made the decision to trek across state lines on a random Thursday night to try Asuka. On first arrival, we were worried it wasn't open --- the shopping center was under construction, and the storefront/parking lot are in various states of disarray. However, on closer glance, there was a little "open" sign propped next to the scaffolding. We were seated immediately in their small-ish dining area and greeted by a friendly waiter who quickly got us water. Of note, there was a short wait for a table at various times while we were there, but it seemed to move quickly. We ordered 4 sushi rolls: the Alaskan (this is my go-to roll that I use to compare apples to apples at various sushi places), the Salmon Breeze (shrimp tempura, crab, and mango with salmon and spicy sauce), the Supernova (tuna, yellowtail, and avocado inside with spicy salmon outside), and the Sashimi roll (spicy tuna, salmon, asparagus, and avocado inside with tuna, salmon, and yellowtail outside). The Salmon Breeze was by far my favorite --- it was the perfect combination sweet, salty, and spicy flavors. I also really enjoyed the Sashimi roll for its lack of rice --- it was nice to enjoy the fish combined in a unique way other than just sashimi on its own. The rolls that did have rice had a reasonable amount, not so much that you're full on rice after a few bites, and the fish was very fresh. We didn't try any of the Chinese options, but the dishes that the waitstaff carried to other tables looked delicious. All of the above came to just below $50 before tip, which is very reasonable for the amount of food and quality of the sushi. They did have the Sun-Thurs $25 for two specialty rolls deal, though I'm not sure it applies if you don't ask for it --- despite ordering several rolls on the list, we were charged the typical menu price, which is only $1-2 more, but it doesn't come with the salad or miso soup. I don't really feel like we missed out, but want to point out the need to be explicit if you want the deal. Overall, VERY glad we decided to make the 30 min drive to try Asuka, and will be making the trip again in the near future. read more

Friend recommended, they were on their way to us, I ordered online, paid for it and they picked up. The online menu is good but could use better descriptions for a lot of rolls. The foos was good to great but not amazing. Two pieces of Smoked Salmon was good portions but not smooth and velvety. The Comeback Roll was very good and a simple Tune/Cucumber roll was fresh and tasty. Miso soup was average.
