This is the first and last time I"ll order from China Palace. Both entrees were unappetizing. Vegetable fried rice had no taste. The rice had A bare amount of sauce. I had to add my own hoison, etc. The sesame tofu sauce tasted like vinegar in sugar syrup. I'm used to the delicious food from the Wilmington restaurant, Hunan Asian Cuisine in Branmar plaza. But I've moved and they don't have delivery. I don't like to give negative reviews, but I spent a lot of money for 2 entrees that I won't be able to eat without a lot of doctoring up. read more

I'm not a big fan of American Chinese food but this place is my favorite, and when I occasionally have a hankering for this type of food, this is the spot. My family has been coming here or ordering their takeout for 14+ years. We especially love getting food from here on Christmas Eve, and around New Years. Some of my happiest memories involve food from this restaurant/eating here on Holidays! You can always count on them to be open, and you can always count on consistently great food. When we dine in, the restaurant is very spacious, clean, and classy. I really enjoy dining in here. When we do takeout- they do a great job of packing everything very cautiously and carefully. Food was mediocre. I've had much better tasting chinese sweet and sour chicken. Service was terrible. It was very slow to begin with, but when the food did come, all came but mine. Waited 45 mins and had to ask where it was. 15 mins later I got my meal. They didn't come back to check on more drinks or water. And my daughter and I paid extra 3.50 for soup and dessert. They forgot we were to getting special with soup/ dessert and charged us extra for soup instead of only the upcharge. When we disputed the soup charge, which was more than the 3.50, they adjusted the bill to the 3.50 upcharge, but we never got the dessert that was part of the upcharge. So nothing for the missing dessert or that I had to wait for almost hr to get my food as the others at my table ate and then waited for me to eat. I Will NEVER be back. read more

On the very rare occasion that something is wrong, she is right there to correct it. My only wish at this restaurant is that they would have a smaller size of the Cold Sesame noodles. I did a takeout order on doordash because they were running a discount. I ordered their bourbon chicken combo with wonton soup and pork fried rice. The bourbon chicken was good but nothing spectacular, but their pork fried rice was good if lacking a tad bit of salt (might be good for those on low sodium) and was loaded with pork, which was tasty but again nothing mind blowing. The wonton soup though was definitely above average, have a decent filling ratio and gives off that nostalgia that many including myself associate with a good american chinese wonton soup. Also, everything was ready very quickly, taking 23 min from ordering in doordash to being handed the food at my work office about 7 min away. Overall, a very solid takeout chinese restaurant and would def recommend. read more

Unassuming place in shopping center. Have enjoyed eating in and take-out, and they do both really well. General Tso's chicken has just the right amount of spice, and the crunch adds to the flavor. Wife says the pork lo mein is delicious, and the barbecued spare ribs taste wonderful. We both love their wonton soup and their egg rolls are delicious. Staff is very friendly and the prices are reasonable. You can also order online, and pick it up with your order number from the confirmation text that you'll receive. It's really convenient. We have eaten here every New Year's Eve in last 8-10 years. Add to that another dozen times in last few years. Don't go to any other Chinese restaurants even though it is a 24+ mile drive round trip. Never had one thing to disagree with service, quality of Food or timely delivery. Love the Sweet and sour chicken, sesame Chicken, fried rice all have tried and very good... good flavor in everything we have tried... New Year's Eve is very busy but does a great service by us. Best Chinese Takeout I EVER had. Portions were HUGE and the Lunch combo comes with sooo much food. Scallion pancakes were perfectly chewy and crisp, the General Tso's was ACTUALLY spicy and the chicken was juicy!!!! Next time I'm getting a single portion of the fried rice - it reminded me of Hibachi fried rice, so flavorful. Lo Mein was delicious and had so much pork packed in... I was wary of this place but after reading the majority of reviews a lot of people complained about delivery time. I used Uber Eats and I have to tell you the food was here pretty quickly. Was still warm and the driver was extremely polite, but let's face it... That was Uber. I was excited to eat some I was starving and I ordered a dish I first had at another place a few months back... Beef Ho Fun. I'll tell you what, Beef Ho Fun is delicious and it is extremely filling. I couldn't wait to get it today. What I got was nowhere close to what I had in the past. (I will supply a picture.) What I received today was a gelatinous mass of paste. It nailed the filling part but definitely lacked the deliciousness that I am used to. In fact, this molded plastic like paste had no life to it at all. No seasoning or sauce. Sure a few onions, hardly any beef, and one mushroom. I think the mushroom was put in by mistake or this molded cube of pasta was made so long ago it free there. I am just surprised that they would send food like that out. If I order from there again I'm definitely getting something else. And if that food is good I will return and update this status. But until then I want you to know that you are worth better than this place. Treat yourself to what you deserve. You work hard for your money and I would hate to see you throw it away. We ordered our regular dishes, Chicken with Cashew and Assorted Diced Shrimp, Chicken and Pork. They were completely different. The only vegetables were celery, corn and mushrooms (no broccoli!!!) It's very clean. Staff are very friendly. Food is not as greasy as other restaurants. Reasonable price. Strongly recommended.

This is our go to standard Friday night take out place. I've been coming here for over 20 years-with the old owners and now with the new ones. They use fresh ingredients and can make the food just how you'll want it. My only grip might be too much oil. But they are so pleasant and clean, friendly, that I know we'll get our dinner made and it will taste good. read more
