katsu combo takeout (photo with flash)
    Allison T.

The only thing I've ever ordered from here is the katsu combo, which I believe is around $10. The pork and chicken katsu are my favorites and they're always super crispy but juicy on the inside. When I got the take-out version of the dish, I don't think it came with enough katsu sauce or enough of the side-dish macaroni salad (or I'm just a lil too obsessed lol). Everything on the menu is around $10 and they also have lunch combo specials! The wait is around 10-15 minutes, but with the supermarket downstairs and other food places & shops in the cafeteria, it doesn't feel that long. After looking at other yelp reviews & pictures, I definitely want to give the chicken katsu omurice a try!

A LOT of food, left full but not too full where it's hard to walk and I was very satisfied. Enjoyed my time eating by myself and it's quiet there, that's perfect for introverts like me!

Food doesn't resemble the name, I ordered omurice and I got a flattened rice bottom top with scrambled egg? Also the chef needs to be fire serving this type of food for the price

I've been here a few times and usually like to get rice dishes. This time I went with three other people and this is what we got (one person ate at a different stand): #29 Ssal Guksu (Rice noodles, beef, vegetables.) D Pop Corn Chicken (Smaller portions of marinated boneless chicken.) #9 Pork BBQ Deopbap (Marinated Pan Fried Pork w/ Rice, soup, side dishes.) I liked the BBQ deopbap. I love their rice and the side tofu that they give. I, personally, am not a fan of soup so my friend tried mine and she said it was a bit salty. I tired some of the popcorn chicken which was okay. I had this another time and it was good though. Didn't try the the ssal guksu though. I also like this place, and the other stands around, because they let you get free cups of water at the place you got food from. And they always have BIG portions that I cannot finish!

    Seafood tteokbukki

Turn around! Usually when I'm starved, food taste better but not here and not today. Stopped by with my best friend for a quick bite before heading home. I remember coming here with my aunt for lunch but couldn't remember which vendor so I chose this one. Well long story short this was the wrong one. We ordered the seafood tteokbukki and #9 Korean beef. First I asked her if #9 was indeed bulgogi since it didn't look like it in the picture and she said Yes. And when it came out it definitely wasn't bulgogi & was every bit as dry as it looked. Secondly, the seafood tteokbukki did not have the freshest seafood which def turned me off. And usually tteokbukki comes with cut up boiled eggs and fried dumplings which weren't in this dish. I ordered it non spicy so my friend can enjoy it with me but it was more like non flavorful. And usually it comes with the red sauce that is sweet and a bit spicy, this was non spicy but just white! The banchan sides that came with our meals were nothing to brag about either. The miso soup was terrible. Since the beef was so dry my friend asked for any type of sauce and the woman looked offended. We received a small container of hoisin and gochujiang. We did not finish anything on our plates. Maybe an off night for the kitchen but more off putting for us. Will not be returning and a bit embarrassed I even brought my friend here.

I recently went to H-Mart in Upper Darby to go grocery shopping, but wanted to stop by the cafeteria upstairs for lunch. They have a couple stalls upstairs, but my friend and I decided on this place. The food was okay and was a good amount for what you pay for. However, I ordered the seafood tteokboki, and mostly saw/ate udon noodles. Even further, the seafood that was part of the dish was mostly fish which just flaked into the dish and got lost; there was good amount of fish cakes , also some shrimp and squid. Again, the food was decent and adequately priced and portioned, I just think that it's standard cafeteria food that is on par with some of the same quality food in the city.

It's unique, however great food for decent price. I am big fan and would highly recommend this place. My personal favorite is number 14. Sticky rice with egg and beef. They put a sweet sauce, I would recommend putting it on the side. They give a soup, Mac and cheese and salads. All for $10.

Chicken katsu omurice was good and jjolmyun was A+

I ordered from ubereats and the food was great! Maybe ask for extra sauce because the omurice isn't seasoned but the jjolmyun was awesome. I will be ordering again

#10 rocks! Beef BBQ is delicious and not spicy at all. To make it spicy you add either kimchi or some hot sriracha... Delicious! Comes with side of miso soup, rice and kimchi

Stopped by at hmart and it was lunch time. Tried their pork katsu omurice. Basically fried pork with egg. They mention there's vegetable underneath the egg, well there's none....at least not enough for your daily veggie intake lol since I ever got really sick w pasta salad in the food court/"fast" food restaurant, I avoid eating it and it wasnt really appetizing, for me at least. Overall just ok but filled my stomach for the moment.

    Donkatsu (Pork Cutlet)

The BEST KOREAN restaurant in the HMart food court, hands down. There's a wide range of food from traditional ddukbokki to more Asian fusion dishes like their beef griller. My personal favorite is the spicy seafood ddukbokki. The hosts are extremely friendly and do a great job explaining the dishes. Come here for a quick, delicious meal whenever you're in the mood for Korean food.

When you come to this H mart food plaza and are craving any katsu (panko fried meat) over rice, this is the go to place. My favorite is the fish katsu with omurice (fried rice with scrambled egg on top) but close second is the chicken or pork katsu. Their fried chicken (yang yum chicken) is also very delicious and you can ask for mild or spicy flavor. I believe they take credit card with no minimum. Staff is friendly and food is made timely. Enjoy!

I love Asian food courts. Always great for cheap eats. Situated on the 2nd floor, above the H-mart. Came here after some grocery shopping downstairs. Food (8.5/10) = Ordered the following dishes: Portions were large. A lot larger than expected. Came here with my Dad. Ordered 3 dishes because I thought portions would be small, based on the menu pictures. I was very wrong. 1) #9 Marinated Pan Fried Pork w. Rice, Soup, Side Dishes ($8.49) = This was tasty. Large flattened piece of fried pork with a BBQ-like gravy on top, all blanketed over with an egg omelet. Sweet and savory. Dish comes with rice, soup, macaroni corn mayonnaise based salad, and another salad with thousand island dressing. 2) #23 Noodles Mixed w. Vegetables ($6.95) = Julianne cucumber and carrots, bean sprouts, shredded cabbage and lettuce, hard boiled egg, all arranged on top of noodles. Comes with a bottle of gochujang (red spicy sauce), for you to add your desired quantity of heat. A clean, fresh, cold noodle dish. Also comes with soup. 2) #34 Seafood, U Dong Noodle, Rice Cake, Fish Cake ($8.95) = Large quantity of noodles and rice cakes. Shrimp, squid, and mussels. Not fresh seafood, but it's what I would expect from an Asian food court. Still, the flavor was good. Dish comes with soup. Ambiance (7.5/10) = nice, clean, vibrant signs of the menu with pictures of their food. Service (8.5/10) = Service was awesome. Appeared to be a family run business, with the children working at the cash register. Was very accommodating to certain dietary restrictions, and was extremely helpful with making recommendations. Awesome service. If the young girl that helped me is reading this review, thank you again. Overall opinion = like I said, I love Asian food courts. Find some of the best food at the best prices. The quantity of Mong Shil Tong Tong's dishes are huge. If you haven't been to this place, definitely recommend you check it out as well as the grocery downstairs (H-mart).

Lobsters and crabs were abundant. I learned about this place awhile ago from YouTube of which many gave praises. We frequented many mid level AYCE places like this and we've found that as time goes by, quality degrades with restaurants like this. Now there was a rather long length of time between discovering this place on YouTube and actually visiting this place. I wonder if the praises that were sung about this place were still valid. I would say yes. As previously mentioned, lobsters and crabs were abundant and makes it worth the trip on that alone. As for the other offerings, it was mostly surprisingly good. Don't expect Michelin quality food here. Generally, it's about the quantity BUT the food is pretty good. The sushi/sashimi shocked me a little. AYCE sushi is usually just passable but here, I thought it was pretty good. Everyone in my group loved the quality of the salmon. Other offerings, of which there were many, were pretty good. Standouts were the lamb chops in my opinion. Dessert options wasn't as extensive as the other AYCE places I've frequented but they do the job. Aside from the usual fountain soda options (serves by the restaurant staff) , they had a few fruit drinks and a milk tea option as well as some specialty drinks in a can. Scale 1 to 5. (Keep in mind that this is based on quality you'd expect from a typical AYCE restaurant. Food 5 (large selection of food and that shellfish!) Service 5 (Friendly staff and were pretty efficient in clearing the plates) Cleanliness 4 (Place was well kept. Deducted 1 star due to the stickiness of the floor around our table which reminded me of a movie theater floor... lol) Value 5 One con to point out. The restaurant was rather large yet the bathrooms were small and couldn't accommodate a lot of people at once. Not a huge quibble as the wait wasn't astronomical BUT it did seem odd that the size of the bathroom didn't match the size of the restaurant.

The Peking duck and lobster fried rice are delicious, and the cocktails are equally well-crafted. Service is generally very good.
