Make sure you stop at Balcony One on your way out from Zion. It was right up our alley. Great atmosphere. Good service. Amazing food. My boyfriend and I got the southwest salad and the baby back ribs. But for appetizers we had French onion soup and chicken empanada, delicious. I would highly recommend this unique spot. My wife and our two kids ate here twice on our trip to Zion. The food was great and the staff treated us like family. I can't recommend this restaurant enough. Kids loved the pasta Alfredo and we enjoyed the salmon, smokey rib pappardelle, and great house salads with a really delicious sage vinaigrette. A restaurant that charges for bread rolls should have been red flag. Food was mediocre and overpriced. Chairs should be reupholstered or replaced. Pork chop was salty and lacked flavor, the baked potato was not fresh, and the brussel sprouts were very sweet. The smokey rib papardelle was an embarrassment to a simple pasta dish. Appetizer combo lacked true Mediterranean flavor. Their hummus tasted like dairy. The food lacked plenty of flavor and presentation. Overpriced with hidden fees. In addition, the restaurant charges an additional 4% for using your credit card. Additional fees should be made clear in the menu. We are in town for additional days and were considering returning but this restaurant left a sour taste. read more

We're from the St George area and always are looking for another local place - we also know that Springdale can be really crowded... we found this DELIGHTFUL place. I can't rave enough. Absolutely amazing service by Tina and the little boy serving bread. Never felt that I was being ignored or forgotten. The food was great as well although I wish one of the pork appetizer we tried was more flavorful. Unfortunately the Ahi wasnt available due to shipment malfunction but everything else was still amazing. My boyfriend only ever orders lemonade and theirs was absolutely perfect on sweetness and tart. Adored this place so much! First of all, they have a Chauffeur service and gave us a ride to/from Best Western in La Verkin for no cost! (We tipped the gentleman who kindly drove us and played our favorite song on the ride). 5 stars right there. The service and food were better than all other places that we went to while we stayed in La Verkin for 4 nights. My husband says the quality of the steak really stood out. This place is adorable! I loved the Santa Fe decor. We got to meet the lovely lady who owns the place and paints the beautiful wall art. The view is incredible! The adorable half tables gave the windows. We arrived right around sunset! The service was top notch. Everyone was so kind, helpful, and quick. I highly suggest the table bread- delicious! Stopped by after a long day of hiking at Bryce Canyon, doing Zion tomorrow. The food is so good and reasonably priced. I got the southwestern salad with brisket, recommended from the bartender Cameron. It was delicious. I was starving so I didn't get a photo. Believe me though, it didn't disappoint. I sat in the back area where the bar is. Everyone was really friendly and the service is fast, and efficient mixed with a hometown welcoming feel. Between Liz and Cameron you can NOT get better service. They made me feel like family. The environment has that old school charm. They also have a charming balcony. This place had great service and beautiful views from the patio. The food on the other hand was so/so. Extremely overpriced for what you get. I don't think there is a real chef here. Just someone making what they were thought without a real understanding of flavor or how to layer flavors. I think it's remote location and semi exotic sounding menu is what makes it popular. We had the carpaccio, Greek salad, wedge salad, French onion soup and rib papardelle. The carpaccio was thinly sliced and served with a spinach salad, with a lovely sweet dressing and picked red onions. The salad was better then the beef. Bland, no seasoning and no acid. For the hefty price it is a definite pass. The Greek salad was comprised of cucumber, red onion, tomato, green bell pepper, Greek olives and feta cheese. A sprinkle of oregano and olive oil. Once again, lacked seasoning. The olive oil wasn't a good enough oil to be the only dressing. Needed acid! Lemon juice or some kind. Of vinegar to liven it up. The feta cheese was deliciously creamy but that was the only good part of the dish. The wedge salad was your basic wedge salad. Nothing special. The French onion soup looked promising. Served in an old school soup crock with a nice crust of melty Parmesan and provolone. The bread used was puff pastry which was disappointing because it was severely undercooked and still doughy in some areas. The Parmesan cheese tasted old. No nutty flavor at all and the provolone did nothing to help it out except add a nice cheese pull. It Would be better with the traditional sourdough slice and Gruyère cheese. Because of the mediocre crust the actual soup was just okay. No deep caramelization to the onions to give it that slightly sweet flavor that is usually cooked down with some wine. As for the papardelle pasta, I can't give a review cause when it came out is was so watery the sauce wouldn't even coat the noodles. So, based on looks, I didn't even try it. My poor husband did and when I asked how it was he just shrugged his shoulders. I think this would be a better place to just grab drinks and watch the sunset and head somewhere else for dinner. Had a delicious dinner here last night. The decor is rustic and spacious. The food was excellent, I love the Greek flare added in, it's a nice shakeup to the menu. The owner mentioned her husband is Greek so it makes perfect sense. Yes the owner was there and she was visiting tables, old school hospitality at its best! Our waitress, I think her name was Ashley, was spot on with a wine recommendation, always available even though she had a few tables and always had a smile. My husband had the ribs and devoured them, and I had the pork chop which is marinated overnight so the flavor is great, and is juicy! Will go back again this trip if we have the time! read more
