Sesame Bagel
Hayward L.

Delicious, chewy, and fresh bagels at this Greenpoint staple! Limited seating inside so it's more of a grab and go spot. There is a discount for paying in cash. Note that the lines can be extremely long on weekends, I waited over 15 minutes for a bagel on one occasion.

Friendly staff and fresh cold brew in the corner. They've tapped the Greenpoint market with tons of locals coming in for their morning fix. Unfortunately the bagels left something to be desired for me.... Not very flavorful.

What a great spread they have here!!Everyone was looking really happy as we walked in and nabbed a big bag of bagels. Was tempted to order a few of those gigantic muffins and pastries too, but my hands were too full. Next time!

Cheddar cheese bagel with veggie cc

I ordered a cheddar cheese bagel with veggie cream cheese ($5.49) and was pretty pleased with how it came out. For one, the slice of cheddar cheese is broiled atop a plain bagel so you get a nice color and crispy bit of cheese on your bagel. The veggie cream cheese had a lot of grated carrots, and I noticed some red onion, scallion, and something crunchy and tart which I'm assuming are pickles. There weren't a lot of cream cheese choices at this location, so I think I'd recommend grabbing just their bagels and bringing them home instead. There was no wait when I visited around noontime and they had my order ready within 5 minutes. Super quick and speedy service!

Had my first taste of a NY bagel here and I was not disappointed! Hot and freshly made. Such a delicious way to start my day. A busy spot but quick and excellent service. Happy with my bacon & egg on an everything bagel. Yum!

Taylor ham, egg and cheese. One slice of Taylor ham and no cheese. $7!!? Total morning disappointment.

Taylor ham, egg and cheese. One slice of Taylor ham and no cheese. $7 !?!? Total morning disappointment. This is embarrassing. Try serving this in NJ.

This place took forever to deliver (over 2 hours) and the bagels came cold. Save yourself the trouble and order from somewhere else.

Really awesome bagels and a great neighborhood store (and half the price you pay at stupid hipster joints). Other breakfast items, meh.

Do not order delivery. Waited over an hour and a half. Called twice and they could care less. Dismal operation, mediocre food.

Tough to find good bagels around here, believe it or not. These are the big, chewy, hand rolled NY bagels you're looking for. Excellent.

The staff is rude and they screwed up my order. Repeatedly. Gave 'em several chances. Try a bodega instead. Oh, and it's overpriced.

Currently 30 minutes late for a delivery order and their phone number as listed goes to a voicemail box. Not a good first experience so far.

Farmer In the Deli - Honey Maple Turkey with Pepper Jack Cheese on a Hero.

3.5 stars I came to…read moreFarmer in the Deli cause of the hype it has on social media for thier viral chopped sandwhiches. I arrived and of course thier was a line. I waited for about 45 minutes, while waiting I picked up my chips and a white peach ginger ale. I also talked to the girl in front and she explained that you can get your sandwhich on a hero or roll. I ordered a chopped honey turkey with onions, pickles, lettuce and mayo. The guy who made my sandwich was soo friendly and patient. I just put my trust in him to hook it up lol. He also asked if I wanted to add the chips and I did. Overall my sandwhich was better the next day after it firmed up. The flavor was good but the texture was soft, mushy and just not what I want in a turkey sandwhich. It ran me about 12.00 and it was worth the experience.

My cousin and I stopped by yesterday and picked up a couple of heroes. I had to get my beef salami and 3 pepper colby jack cheese, extra mayo, lettuce, tomatoes and pickles, on a whole wheat hero (10.99) . Much love to a family staple for years. Definitely a place for you to pick up a sandwich that won't break the bank.

If that's not the most Brooklyn thing ever, I don't know what is. Same sandwiches, different blessing. Everybody says order the pastrami, so I listened like a grown man should. Pastrami on rye with spicy mustard absolutely slapped. Smoky, juicy, perfectly stacked, and messy enough to ruin your shirt with honor. Then came the beef brisket on rye with a cup of au jus for dipping... and brother, that dip should be studied by scientists. Pure perfection. Washed everything down with a Dr. Brown's root beer like it was 1957. No fake trendy nonsense. No deconstructed sandwiches. Just old-school deli greatness that punches you directly in the soul. Great food doesn't care where you come from -- it just brings everybody to the same table. That's New York. That's Brooklyn.

But don't dare get a simple turkey sandwich. And also, they're misrepresenting that they have chicken salad. They do not. Or maybe they've been lying about it.

I finally made it here to try any one of their legendary subs and sandwiches!…read more The deli is super old Skool Italian, cash only in a street not easy to get to without a car or taking the bus. But boy it is super worth it if you make the effort! The counter service is excellent and you place your order and wait for deliciousness! I ordered the Golden Boy Special ( Chicken Cutlet , Vodka Sauce , peppers , mozzarella and prosciutto) it was absolutely superb and the bread it was just incredible! I went with two friends so were able to try three different sandwiches and to be honest, they were all just alright. The food: Roast Pork Special- Fried Eggplant, Provolone, Broccoli Rob- The texture of the pork came off a bit dry, the eggplant was good but kinda gets lost in the sandwich so if I literally had it on it's own I would have appreciated it more but who eats fried eggplant by itself? The rob was nice it added a nice crunch but didn't offer that much flavor. Giuseppe Special- Eggplant parm, meatballs, melted mozzarella. I couldn't get over how soggy the bread was. It was like wet paper towel to me. Soggy bread and everything kinda tasting the same made it underwhelming. Nicky Special- It just tasted like salad in between bread. There was so much veg, that was the main thing I remember in that sandwich.
