This place is very plain, but they make their own bagels and they are great. It's what they do. Good coffee. Some breakfast sandwiches. Cash only. We ate their four days in a row at the rush hour and never experienced much of a wait. read more

This is a cash only, no frills kind of shop. They have really good bagels and they make a great breakfast sandwich. There's two round tables inside that you could sit at. Not a very large selection at all. I ordered a scrambled egg with ham on a toasted onion bagel. And I grabbed a cranberry juice for $9. I was very happy and I would definitely come back here again when I'm around this area. read more

Wow Bagel - ham and egg on a onion bagel - Bagels Near Me - Ridgewood, New York

Awesome bagels! So fresh and delicious ! Great prices too. Definitely will be back when I'm in the neigh.

Good bagels, but the line is always way too long. Every time I go, there are only 2 guys working on busy weekend mornings. If you just want to pick up a few bagels you have to wait on line for 10 people to get sandwiches made. There's no line got just bagels. Takes too long. read more

Formerly called Mr. Bagel, this no-frills neighborhood shop has been in Ridgewood for over 10 years. Other spots have opened in the neighborhood since, but I always come back here in the end. Long time staff, crisp yet soft bagels that wont hurt your jaw when you eat them and unbeatable prices. While the menu is simple and the inside may appear unimpressive to some, this place has rightfully earned its spot on the block and five stars in my eyes. You'll always get a freshly made, quality New Yorker bagel here. read more

I truly truly love this place. I've been coming here since I was a kid. But ever since the pandemic this place has really gotten on my nerves in the morning. Sometimes they open at 7:30 sometimes they open at 9 sometimes 8:15. The hours that they open up are completely inconsistent even though they used to always open at 6. I never know if I'm going to enjoy a bagel or not when I'm on my way to school/work in the morning. WOW BAGEL please start getting it back together, your food is amazing but I never know when I wake up in the morning if you guys are going to be open or not. read more

Based on bacon egg and cheese (BEC). This is by far my favorite bacon egg and cheese! Roll: toasted to perfection (if you don't like toasted rolls, you're most definitely a serial killer) Fried Eggs: cooked medium with tender love and care Bacon: cooked perfectly! That's all I have to say The staff is always super polite and they take care of you right away. Any time I'm in the area I MUST buy a bacon egg and cheese from here...no exceptions! read more

Pretty rude ppl, if it's not a bagel they will most likely mess it up. kinda Over rated. Been coming for 4 years and they don't know how to fry an egg. Practice didn't make perfect read more

You will never find bagels like the bagels at wow bagel. I have been coming here since i was in the 4th grade. Bagels are $1 plain. Their bacon egg and cheese is well made, honestly everything is well made. But the bagel itself is what makes the sandwiches. The bagels are made here and they are truly Ridgewood's hidden gem. You can't call and order ahead which is annoying. The wait can be long in store. So if you're in a rush this wouldn't be my first pick for breakfast. But over all i would come back time and time again. Worth the money? Yes read more

Browsing yelp for some more bagel spots and came across this one not too far from the pad. Reviews were decent but pictures looked good so I thought it was worth a try. Got there a bit later in the morning, maybe 11:00 so some bagels were running low but they were still making more fresh. Got my usual salt bagel with butter and also got an egg bagel with butter and nesquik. Bagel was good. Good amount of salt, nice consistency of dough. Same with egg bagel. Good price as well. Less than $6 for two bagels and chocolate milk. I know I got here late in the morning, so while I'd usually grab two salt bagels they only had one left, but I'm glad I tried an egg bagel. Bagels are good. Only real issue is the butter is not the best. It's OK. Will definitely return read more

I have been coming here for a couple if years. I'm surprised this place only has a couple of stars. The sandwich options are endless!! They also have muffins and coffee cake and such. read more

Wow Bagel - Name has been changed to Wow Bagel - Bagels Near Me - Ridgewood, New York

Good bagels, reasonably priced, attentive service

The one and seemingly only bagel shop in my new hood...and it's decent. Mr. Bagel is bare essentials. I don't know if I would trust the lox here (didn't see anyone order them and they were just sitting out in the deli case). We arrived at around noon on Saturday and they only had two kinds of bagels ready (plain and sesame). LAME. So Rus and I both got plain bagels with scallion cream cheese. They were pretty tasty. The bagels are thick and cakey. Pros: Not overpriced, decent bagels, lots of beverage options. Cons: Not enough stock of bagels, spreads are not displayed, takes forever to get your order. The iced coffee, lox and refrigeration are all questionable. Will I go again? Yes. Do I secretly hope that some bougy, overpriced bagel shop opens up soon? Yes. read more

I ordered a egg salad bagel with butter mayo and lettuce and they did it right with no questions or judgement. A little heavy on the egg salad, but at the end of the day I felt like a valued customer. read more

Ordered 4 bagels (1 plain toasted w. Butter, 2 wheat w. egg and sausage, and 1 plain w. 2 egg). They make their bagels fresh in the back which is a plus for me. The reason for the 4 star is because I called numerous times and no one answered the phone. Because of the pandemic, I wanted to call and grab to go when I get there instead I had to stand there and wait for my order. read more

The food is okay, but what really struck me was the service. I ordered a Ham,egg, and cheese sandwich (which was delicious) for the record, and a medium (16 oz) coffee. I figured you had to pay for everything first, so I wanted to pay for the coffee before I got it. But the guy didn't understand me and ended up arguing with me over something that wasn't even an issue! I'll think twice about stopping here when I'm back in town.... read more

The bagels are fresh the staff is nice but sometimes have communication issues. This is a good place to stop and grab a bagel or sandwich in the morning or before you head out on a long drive... Just an FYI you pay after you get everything. So just be patient. read more

When I went there the owner was using an electric fly swatter to zap flies while people ate their food or waited in line and watched. Their bagel was fine but it seems dirty in there overall. read more

So far this is the best bagel specialty spot I have found that I can reach by foot in Ridgewood. The bagels are not to die for, but they surely beat the bagel sandwich from a local bodega and those of many supermarkets in the area. Plus they have an assortment of cream cheese spreads to choose form. read more

Wow Bagel - The classic ham, egg and cheese on an everything bagel. Tasty. - Bagels Near Me - Ridgewood, New York

Old style bagel emporium. No frills here. If you're looking for a triple strawberry latte crappacino, along with room to work on your laptop while charging your phone, this isn't your place. If you're looking for a good bagel with lots of butter or cream cheese, this is your place. $1.75 for a cinnamon raisin toasted bagel with butter. Not bad at all. read more

I get why this has bad reviews but really, if you want a good bagel with cream cheese, this place is good. Yes service is slow but it's just because they don't employ enough people and not because of a lack of effort. Also, it is no frills - no avocado or fancy coffee. But if it is a bagel you want, their bagels are good if not great. read more

Your standard bagel place without the inflated prices. I'm never wowed when I walk out of here (contrary to the wow bagel namesake) but I'm always pleased! The bagels are always warm, a little chewy, and even fluffy. I wish maybe they were a little more on the dense side, and also that the everything bagel was saltier, but other than that I cant really complain. It's something like $2 for a bagel and cream cheese, which I'm super happy about. My personal favorite is the egg and cheese, and the lox tastes fresh and is cut generously. I'm happy to have this place in the area! They also have a good amount of seating here. read more

Funny how the other 3 reviews mentioned having communication issues with the staff. This isn't something I'd normally bring up, but I couldn't seem to order a cup of water from the guy so finally gave up. You want a bagel, or, better yet, a bagel sandwich? This is the place in Ridgewood to go. Maybe 15 varieties... my breakfast sandwich hit the spot. It is difficult to rate how the bagels compare to others when I've buried its subleties in cheesy goo, but I'm going to go ahead and assume they are delicious. read more

Went here for the first time since moving back to the neighborhood. Had an Egg Bagel with CC and it was delicious! This will be my spot to go to for a good bagel! read more

Bagels are good. I'll agree with the other two reviewers where there were some communication issues. They got my order right and this place is ok not outstanding. There are refrigerated drinks but I'm partial to soda fountains there are no fountain drinks here. Had whole wheat bagel with egg salad inside. Poor choice on my part as most of the sandwich was falling apart as I was eating it. read more

Best place ever to get a bacon & egg on a bagel! Bagels are made fresh daily and these guys really know how to make bacon and eggs. The eggs are sort of scrambled and fried up on the grill really thin. Then they get folded over onto the bagel with the crispiest bacon ever (without being burnt). The bagels are just perfect, but they sometimes run out the better flavors early. The iced coffee is surprisingly not too bitter, and the hot coffee is pretty strong. Overall, my favorite place in both the area and NYC. They are cash only though and if you get there right at certain times, the line is crazy. read more

I woke up really early this morning and came from far to get bagels from Wow Bagel in Ridgewood. Google says they opened at 6am and so does Yelp. When I arrived at 6:03 the doors were closed, lights shut and the team still prepping. They obviously saw I was waiting outside and ignored me. I then ask after 10min when they are going to be ready and they said 6:20am. They were very unfriendly and could not care less I was waiting. I couldn't wait because I had to take a bus to Richmond VA and because they were late I could not bring the 12 bagels I was supposed to bring today with me. If you have hours and you don't respect what the point? I wasted 1 hour this early Saturday morning for an unpunctual bagel store. read more

A step up from a Dunkin Donuts bagel but nowhere near as good as a true NYC bagel like Ess-a-Bagel. Came around 9:15 on a Sunday and there was a small line but nothing crazy, it took almost 20 min to get out of there though, which seemed a little excessive. There wasn't much rhyme or reason to the line after you ordered so I was worried about getting the right stuff when we checked out. Our 2 breakfast sandwiches and 2 bagels with cream cheese were all correct in the end though, so it all worked out fine. It is definitely the most convenient non-chain to go to when in the area for us so I'd probably go back! read more

I use to love this place growing up. The new Spanish worker is so rude and unprofessional employee I have ever came across. I had went there to get a bagel today and there was none left he said rudely you can wait 20 minutes and I do not live by this place anymore so I figured I would wait. Twenty minutes past and I ask him nicely is it done yet and he says no give me another 10. During this time he was talking about in Spanish and didn't think I could understand . So finally it's 30 minutes later and I ask again nicely sir is it done yet and he goes no / I said I've been waiting here for an half hour and I have to be somewhere he says I don't care and I don't know how fast the oven works and begins to laugh in my face with his coworker so I told him how unprofessional he was and I would never come there again and I'll let everyone know how horrible they are now . Never would I think you can laugh in my face after waiting nicely for 30 minutes. read more

Best place for bagels & breakfast sandwiches , just lately by 11am they're out cinnamon raisin but definitely recommend

Mr. Bagel makes really great bagels. Re: communication issues with the staff that other reviewers brought up, for a couple of years this got really bad. Almost every time I ordered my bagel would come back wrong; either with cream cheese when I asked for butter, completely wrong bagel flavor, etc. They would always take it back and make a new, correct bagel for me but this got so frustrating that I didn't go there for a few months. I started going back at the beginning of this year and they have new guys behind the counter who understand my orders much better now. read more
