I don't know how many times I've been burned by this place...yet I still keep coming back. I've had items forgotten, mixed up and more than twice overpaid and got less of what I ordered because they messed up. The bagels aren't bad at all. Me and my wife both ordered bagels and it was quite crowded. We waited for 55 minutes for our order and finally had to tell the people we will come back for it as we have an appointment and to please keep it in a bag for when we return. After our appointment we came back to pick up our order, my wife's was correct mine was completely wrong. And my bagel was about 2-1/2"inches in diameter and my wife's was 5 inches in diameter. The staff does not prepare the orders in the order received. It took almost 30 minutes to prepare 2 bagels with egg and cheese. They don't move the tickets down the rail. They simply put new orders in an empty spot. If one of their "friends" comes in, that ticket gets placed immediately up front. If someone complains about the wait, an employee finds the ticket and moves it to the front. My order was cold when I got home to eat it and I only live 5 minutes away. A Bozeman staple, been coming here since i was a little kid. Has always been the best bagels in the world!! Locals know what's up :) They get crazyyyy busy and it always seems like they're short-staffed so call in ur bagel and don't go if you're in a big rush! I grew up eating at bagel works! Their bagels are awesome and usually quick. Recently I have placed multiple to-go orders and upon arriving was told to wait in a ridiculously long line. By the time I received my food it was cold. Pretty disappointing considering the reason for calling in an order is so you don't have to wait. Just a suggestion... maybe have two separate lines, one for pickup and one for ordering. read more

These are pretty good bagels! I can say that this chain is not consistent though. This location has a much better product than the one in Missoula. The staff is friendly and you can call your order in for pickup so you will not have to wait if you are in a hurry or just having a lazy day. They have a pretty diverse selection and if you are in need of a bagel fix outside of NYC this is your place. My buddy and I hungry starving college boys went to get some bagels this morning. We got there and there was a little line not much business. We order our two bagels and start the long wait. We watched as the people behind us in line get there bagels first. After 30 minutes I asked what's up and they lost my ticket. Not only that I had to tell them 5 times what my order was and they still forgot. After the long almost hour wait we got our bagels by a very confused worker not knowing if the order was even mine. Had my first bagel from Bagelworks today. It was really like the bagels I grew up on in Manhattan. I cannot wait to go back tomorrow.

So crowded with no place to sit and the service was incredibly slow. Dirty too, this place gave me anxiety.

Great food but most people don't understand it's not fast food like mcdonald's. The weekend gets super busy. Definitely call ahead if you can, and don't be surprised if there's a 30 minute wait some Saturdays. A customer came in behind us, ordered multiple bagels and sandwiches, and was served ahead of us. The toasted bagel was to have butter and be toasted. It was warm - not toasted, and buttered on half. Bagelworks makes the best bagels I've had anywhere. Anywhere! They are so flavorful, crunchy on the outside and perfectly chewy on the inside. Perhaps it's because they boil them like a true bagel should be--none of that bread-in-the-form-of-a-bagel. These awesome bagels come in tons of flavors: plain, wheat, works, onion, cranberry, blueberry, asiago cheese, sesame, poppyseed, pumpernickle and more. The cream cheeses are also to die for: blackberry, chive, spinach and herb, veggie, honey walnut and sundried tomato. My favorite combos are cranberry with blackberry, works with spinach herb and sesame with honey walnut. You can also get a wide variety of sandwiches including breakfast eggs and lunch-style ham or vegetable. I believe they've changed their hours, now open Tuesday-Sunday at 6:30am. Not impressed. B-Works has the best bagels in the valley, bar none, but after a couple encounters there this week with management and associates, I will never return. After an obviously new girl ("Carly" i think?) took my order she was fiercely corrected and rudely interrupted by her manager Alissa. Carly had my order correct and this manager changed it. After all of this fiasco my order still came out from the grill incorrectly. The girl running the grill then blamed someone else and didn't fix the problem quickly like I had hoped, but rather exacerbated the situation. Poor Carly was corrected and corrected again by two other girls and went to wash dishes, only to be stopped and corrected again. Sad to see such a lack of awareness in the little social interactions take such a toll on a business! With a great product all you'd need for management to do is smile and shut up. They have really good bagels and when they do get my order right I'm super happy. But the almost never get my order right. I usually ask for tomato on my bagels and they always forget. and today I got a turkey sandwich which usually come with lettuce tomato and onion and cheese... but they forgot the lettuce tomato and onion. Hands down: best bagels in the area. In fact, they rival Ice Coast bagels, to include DC and NY. If I were a bagel, I'd love you to eat me here. Prices are fair, especially given the high quality and the great service. Great bagels and very friendly service. The woman working at the counter went out of her way to get me coffee quickly after I found the carafes were empty (it was 1pm, so they probably didn't notice after the rush.) She put a cup under the drip of the machine for me, which if you like weak coffee would probably be bad, but I enjoyed it. Bagels were surprisingly tasty, not just rolls with holes in them. I had veggie cream cheese on a Works bagel and my husband had a huge veggie sandwich and both were very good. The don't put fennel seeds on their Works (aka Everything) bagels, which is a plus for me. read more

This place is super cute, has great bagels, and friendly staff. I've been here about 3-4 times over the last 3 years and it's been a consistent place to eat. There's not a ton of seating, but it seems like more of a carry-out anyway. There is a room that looks like it can be made private, but I'm not sure what it's used for (bagel parties?). These are bagels at their best. As mentioned by everyone, they are crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside. I like the "Works" bagel with jalapeño cream cheese (which is fairly spicy). The owner really appreciates good drinks. Accordingly, he sells Mexican (cane) Coke and Naked juices. They are now open on Sunday until 1 p.m.--they are open until 3 p.m. the rest of the week. Within 15 minutes of close, you can purchase a dozen bagels for $5. I think they now also accept credit cards. read more
