Not a bad location in San Gabriel, staff is friendly and a cool vibe. More of a fast food venue, potstickers were soft and mushy lacking and crisp. Soup and beef was a bit salty for my pallet.

Signature potstickers are tasty and freshly cooked as usual. Price of their sets are reasonable. Beef noodle is just ok. Some of the beef chunks are a bit hard to chew for me and it's not as flavorful as I'd hope. The noodles are good though. For the same price I think Northern Cafe beef noodles is better. It's a spacious location with nice decor and lots of seats. As to service, it's self service so remember to clean after yourself after you are done.

6/25/26 Decided to venture out & see what this newly opened shop is about. The place looks a good size for dining with clean & modern furnishings. The staff are friendly & accommodating. I ordered their special noodles & dumplings which took about 15 minutes (take out). The noodles were al dente & the dumplings were flavorful. I imagine myself dining in here in the near future due to good food, service and ambiance. It looks like a comfortable place to eat.

Waited super long for our foods. People that came after us ended up getting their foods first. Smh Pot stickers were good. Both originals & Kimchi were done well. The wontons were overly salty. The sig noodles were decent. If it was just me, I would have asked for a refund and leave. The place wasn't busy. We couldn't decide on what to order so we let a group go in front of us. Like 3 people. It was fine that they got their foods first since they ordered first. However, 2-3 people came after us. 2 people got their foods before us and one person got their foods around the same time as us WTH?? I doubt I will return.

Service was good, staff is very friendly! Came here with my friend around noon time during the weekend, self serve and very chill vibes! Clean tables and area is very new, nicely remodeled and I like how much natural lighting there is inside Sesame noodles was good! I enjoy the signature dumplings more but kimchi potstickers were good too 1pm started to get more busy but I enjoy the vibes here

Nice to see Ba Fang opened in the Tawa plaza, right next to marugame udon. The food was good and consistent in quality and flavor compared to the other locations. They do not have black lemon tea at this location. I usually get the original pork potstickers. For this visit, I ordered the chicken and corn potsticker and enjoy it better. The order did take a little longer I think because not many people order this verison. Overall staff was nice and service was great.

I don't really eat meat or chicken but since they have veggie options available, stopped by and checked them out since was in the area. I ordered the dumplings and potstickers combo with a corn chowder soup. All was pretty good but soup was more in the sweet side for my palate. Would definitely come here again and re-order the same thing tho! Staff were super nice and bathrooms are clean. Plenty of parking. Highly recommend!

Visited on Friday - Grand opening day. Got a free Bafang T-shirt and Combo voucher valid for the next 30 days. I spent $35 and received a Bafang cooler bag. This is what I ordered: Pork chop with braised pork belly rice - Recommend Spicy Wonton - Better at DTF Corn Chowder - This is GOOD STUFF. Definitely Reorder on Next Visit! Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup - Pass. Meat was chewy, not tender. I waited about 25 minutes from opening. Overall, good experience. Looking forward to redeeming my combo voucher.

Stopped by the grand opening of Bangfang Dumpling's new location in San Gabriel Plaza and had a great first experience! I've been watching this spot under construction for over a year, so it was exciting to finally see it open. They were also running some grand opening promotions, including T-shirts (small sizes only), coupons for the first 100 paying customers, and a free lunch bag with a $35+ purchase. If you're in the area this weekend, it's definitely worth checking out. And they are doing a balloon making for people especially kids also :) As the name suggests, dumplings are the star of the menu. These are Taiwanese-style dumplings, which are a bit different from the Northeastern Chinese dumplings I grew up eating, but they were still very tasty. They offer both boiled and pan-fried options, with several meat fillings as well as vegetarian choices. Beyond dumplings, they also serve a variety of rice dishes. I especially recommend the braised pork rice, which was flavorful and satisfying. You can also purchase frozen dumplings to take home--around $12 for a bag of 20--which is a nice option if you want to cook them yourself later. The service is mostly self-serve. You place your order, receive a notification device, and pick up your food when it's ready. Seating is first come, first served. Since it was opening weekend and quite busy, I didn't notice much table cleaning during my visit, but the restaurant overall felt clean and well maintained. The space is bright, modern, and welcoming. Overall, a solid addition to San Gabriel Plaza and a great lunch spot if you're nearby!

What a good deal. Rice bowl and dumplings for $14. I've only tried their signature dumplings and it's great. Their minced pork rice bowl and pork belly was sooo good. Service was friendly. The music was a bit on the louder side.

Mini Wonton Soup 12 Signature Potstickers

Food is cheap and pretty good. There aren't many options available though. The main difference is in the one of two sauces available for the noodles and the fillings for the dumplings. The downside is that there aren't many options available for vegetables. The only thing I would say is bad is the wonton soup because the wontons have been sitting in there for a while before you get it, so it falls apart.

Your typical bafang dumpling chain, except they do not have the black tea as a drink option like other stores have, only soda. The store was clean and service was great. The potstickers came out fresh. The store has ample indoor seating. Would come back again.

Taiwanese fast food at its best! The person at the register was super helpful, gave me options for the combos instead of asking what I would like. Love that. There are plenty of seatings. Food tasted great.

Luyixian is a gem located in the ABC plaza near the intersection of Valley Boulevard and Garfield Avenue. Luyixian serves a variety of soy-based dishes, regional Chinese comfort cuisine, and Zhejiang specialties. Luyixian is mostly known for their braised pork rice and beef noodle soup. The atmosphere there was nice and the staff there were very friendly. Parking can be found either inside the plaza building or underground. I ordered the braised beef rice. The braised beef rice was mouthwatering! It is like a home cooked meal. The braised beef was very tender and juicy. The beef is served with sauteed cabbage, pickled vegetables, hard-boiled egg, and a scoop of rice. The braised beef rice will taste even better when everything on the plate is mixed together. My dish took about 10 minutes to be served, which is quite quick. So far, my first time dining at Luyixian was a great experience! I would definitely recommend this gem to anyone who loves braised pork rice or other Chinese dishes!

Honestly, this might be one the best ones I have had yet. Usually, I rank based on the trifecta of soup, noodle, and beef and it's hard to find a place that comes through on all three. You can order individual dishes or go family-style and share everything! Location: Same plaza as Good Fortune Supermarket, located to the left of the supermarket. Parking: Never had an issue finding parking here! The restaurant is on the smaller side, so expect a wait during peak hours. It was completely packed when we visited, and multiple groups were waiting to be seated. Service was surprisingly amazing! All the staff were attentive, and since we ordered so much food, they kept an eye on our table and promptly cleared our empty plates. What we ordered: Xiao Long Bao (8 pieces) - $13 Pretty decent! Thin wrapper and juicy pork filling, although there wasn't as much soup inside as I've had at other places. Would still order again. Pan-Fried Pork Bao (6 pieces) - $13 Just okay. The dough was a bit too thick and doughy, with limited soup inside. There are better places for these, so probably wouldn't order again. Pork Potstickers (8 pieces) -$13 Delicious and nicely pan-fried! Hot Oil Shrimp with Pork Dumplings (8 pieces) - $13.50 The wontons tasted housemade, and the sauce wasn't too spicy. However, the wrappers were a little too thick and doughy for my preference. My dad really enjoyed them though! Beef Roll (8 pieces) - $16 Not sure if they changed their recipe but their pancake taste different... House Special Beef Noodle Soup - $15 I remember liking this dish at this location years ago. Unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed this time around. The broth was decent but the beef wasn't very tender. Shrimp Fried Rice - $15.50 Really well made. No oily taste. No complaints here. Garlic Bok Choy - $14 Flavorful and cooked well. A great vegetable dish to balance out all the carbs! House Beverages - $4.99 Their drinks come in HUGE, tall glass mugs. Definitely big enough to share! Overall, a nostalgic Taiwanese spot with attentive service and a solid variety of dishes. Some items were better than others, but it's still a comforting place to gather with family and enjoy a big meal together.

While I was grabbing my food from this establishment last month, I asked if they had any special offers and they weren't offering any at the moment. They currently don't have happy hour. They also do not allow pets in their establishment UNLESS it's a service animal. Parking: The parking lot for this establishment is pretty big. They do share the lot with several other establishments. The lot doesn't really get busy, so you shouldn't have any problems with finding parking. I did notice that some spots are smaller than others. Food: I ordered a mild spicy popcorn chicken and minced bowl/ plate. The popcorn chicken was very flavorful, crunchy, tender, and juicy. Big portion for like $10. The Taiwanese seasoning mix brought me right back to the night markets to Taiwan. It's truly the 5 spice powder that hits the spot. The batter wasn't thick, so the chicken didn't taste very battery/ cakey. That's what I hate about some places that make popcorn chicken. It also wasn't too spicy for me. It was just right. I ordered the minced bowl, which is actually a plate. For like $12, it was actually pretty good and the portions was huge. The boiled / blanched cabbage and broccoli were soft, sweet, and tasty. I could taste the sesame oil on it. It wasn't salty. The sweet corn and diced juicy tomatoes combo was good too. The boiled tea egg was pretty delicious. You can actually taste the tea and soy sauce. The egg was nice and soft. And now, for the braised minced pork. The pork was very delicious and it just melted in my mouth. I love that there were some fatty pieces of pork too in the dish. It balanced out some of the pieces of pork, which had too much meat in it. Definitely a very savory and rich dish. Omg and the sauce from the braised minced pork drizzled over the rice was just so perfect! It made the rice extremely delectable. This is hands down one of my favorite Taiwanese dishes, and it was made perfectly. Staff: The staff here are very friendly, welcoming, and kind.
