Tasty hand pulled noodles. The bang bang noodles were only 9.99 which was a good deal. Noodles were doughy and tasty. Also tasty other dishes like cumin lamb and lamb soup. Good value and big portions perfect for sharing.

I was looking for noodles to try for lunch and found this new place. Located in the strip with other restaurants and stores. There are free parking spots in front. The restaurant seems new and clean. The waitress was able to take my order quickly. The order was done in 10 minutes. The lamb bun was the stand out. It was served very hot and the meat was very flavorful. There wasn't a lot of juice so the bread stayed hot and crisp. The noodles were good. I was hoping for more flavor the egg and tomato and beef didn't have much flavor. I will go back and try other things on the menu.

N1 hand made pulled noodles with beef

Bomb DAR hand made noodles. Added beef slices and ordered the Chinese burger with cumin lamb. Overall great price and taste. Next time got to try the dumplings

They just open recently. I stopped by to pick up a few side dishes to try. I got the smoked chicken, marinated cucumber and seaweed. Workers here are rude and not helpful when I asked how they sell their side dishes. Food is good. Hopefully they will be nicer next time. Hard to find parking.

Takes credit card Quick service They have cold vegetable dishes you can order at the front. $3 for 2 dishes. $1.50/dish CR5- Chinese burger with cumin lamb $6.99- pretty good flavor. A little spicy. CR6- Chinese burger with marinated beef. $7.99- pretty much dried corned beef with pita bread. Very dry, not much flavor. Skip this. N8- stewed lamb noodle soup- either stewed lamb or lamb organ meat $14.99- the soup was very rich, deep flavor. The noddles were thick and hand made. Too chewy for my preference. The organ meat was very soft. N3- zha jia mian $14.99-noodles with soybean paste and pork meat- large thick noodles, too much chew.

Great spot, food came out very quickly. Definitely specialize in noodles. It used to be art noodle but this time around its like a "better" version? Art noodle was tasty but this spots cleaned up. I want to say pretty much similar menus. Hand pull noodles with different soup broths. The chefs are definitely from mainland, as authentic as it gets. Forgot exactly what I ordered but both delicious. We eat plenty of soups / noodles in this fashion and this spot is up there. Price is good too. No frills food for the people by the people Service was quick and friendly. Little sauce bar if you want to get mo spicy

Restaurant feels/looks somewhat new, our first time here. DIL wanted to try the Mapu Tofu which she really enjoyed. Hubby and I enjoyed the delicious beef noodle soup. The pork dumplings were delicious and freshly made, I just wished they were crispier (pan-fried longer). Loved that they had a spice condiments bar. The Chinese pork bun was delicious! Did not like that water served was not cold and restaurant did not have any ice for drinks - not good!!! Good customer service! Located in a shopping mall, plenty of parking available. Although food was good, experience in restaurant dictated the 3-star rating. Next time, will only do to-go order!

It's a chain but has been here for about a year now. Located in a large strip mall with plenty of parking on Garfield and Garvey Location is clean and well maintained They still offer 2 grand opening specials for $9.99 Noodles are made fresh here Menu is not too large Portions are alright Food tastes fresh. Nike that they used fresh raw cucumber for that cool taste. There are vegetarian options too Vegetarian noodles came with pork burger which tasted like Chinese carnitas bun

Biang Biang Noodle (hand pulled noodle) added with cumin lamb

This restaurant is located in a strip mall and it's not visible from the street. I think this was the reason why there were not many people when I visited on a Saturday night thought the food was very good. The restaurant had only one waiter who also worked as cashier. He was very busy but maintained polite service and fast serving. It's very clean inside. We ordered Traditional Liang Pi "Cold Noodle", Pao Mo Soup with lamb, and its special Biang Biang noodle (Shanxi-Style Hot Oil Noodles). Liang Pi (Cold Noodle) was refreshing with sliced cucumbers and gluten cubes. The Pao Mo soup was fragrant with lamb perfectly spiced with pepper, though the lamb was a little bit less than tender. The soup with the Pao Mo was very filling. The Biang Biang we ordered with cumin lamb had wok hei. We selected the hand pulled noodle which was al dente. My partner thought its seasoning was balanced thought I thought it's a little salty for me.

Visited: January 2026. Tuesday ~4:00pm. I've been to the one in Ontario many times and was excited to learn of this new location. Setting: The restaurant looked and felt clean. Plenty of seating while still feeling spacious. Wait Time: None. There was only one other party dining in at the time. Food/Drink: Big portions! I ordered some of my favorites and a can of Coke. - "Biang Biang" Shaanxi-Style Hot Oil Noodles ($9.99): A little spice and a LOT of garlic. Loved the chewy texture and the long hand-pulled noodles. - Traditional Liang Pi "Cold Noodles" ($8.99): Refreshing, spicy, and delicious. The noodle texture was perfect. - Stir-Fried Shredded Potatoes ($13.99): Served hot. The crunch of the potatoes balanced out my noodle dishes. This dish was standard. Service: Nice and quick. There was a language barrier but it didn't affect anything. Parking: Located in an older strip mall with lots of parking spaces. Next Time: I'll probably repeat this exact order. The liangpi is a must try! Authentic food at an affordable price.

Another local find! Currently on a soft opening status, restaurant is clean, wait staff is somewhat friendly and speaks limited English. Food was tasty and will be back for their other items. If you like Chinese appetizers, there's a cart by the cash register full of items to choose from.

N14. Stir-Fried Hand-Pulled Round Noodles with Special Cumin Beef / 孜然牛肉炒拉条子

The noodles were decent, but the beef had almost no beef flavor. It was bland and tasted like chewing cardboard. I won't be coming back.

Chien H.

Highly recommend ! Service and food was great, and the place was clean. For $15 you get a huge bowl of noodles. Immense value. Also they have cold dishes like pig ear, they gave a lot for just $4. I got the N1 with beef brisket, normal spice level. The food was very tasty, will come back in the near future !

Luyixian is a gem located in the ABC plaza near the intersection of Valley Boulevard and Garfield Avenue. The atmosphere there was nice and the staff there were very friendly. Parking can be found either inside the plaza building or underground. I ordered the braised beef rice. The braised beef rice was mouthwatering! It is like a home cooked meal. The braised beef was very tender and juicy. The beef is served with sauteed cabbage, pickled vegetables, hard-boiled egg, and a scoop of rice. The braised beef rice will taste even better when everything on the plate is mixed together. My dish took about 10 minutes to be served, which is quite quick. So far, my first time dining at Luyixian was a great experience! I would definitely recommend this gem to anyone who loves braised pork rice or other Chinese dishes!

Not a fan of bean sprouts but will eat if I need to, but in this case - it totally overwhelmed the dish. There also wasn't enough rice noodle for me. Everything else was good, but that kinda blew it for me. Also got the spicy soup with beef and tomatoes. This is more of a gentle burn in spice they slowly works its way up. It's good if you like spice. Restaurant wasn't too busy when we arrived but got a good amount of customers by the time we were leaving. Workers are friendly. Not sure if I'd be back though. The only downside is they don't have their AC on during the summer. I remember one time I was sweating while eating and it was very uncomfortable.

Beef roll looked more like a giant taco but was also excellent. In the most convoluted sequence of restaurant occupancy in the annals of Chinese restaurants in the United States, Noodle King has supplanted Rice Hero/Hero's Kitchen/In Joy Lunch in Alhambra in the space formerly occupied by a different restaurant named Noodle King in the 1980s and 1990s. There's a lot to explain here. I used the compound name for the previous occupant because the name on the front entrance was Rice Hero, the back entrance said Hero's Kitchen and the digital menus said In Joy Lunch. I say the old restaurant was supplanted, not replaced, because the old restaurant sort of still hangs around, with a tiny sheet of paper with all 3 old names taped to the front door, and many old dishes still on the menu. Why the three names I don't know. In Joy Lunch had been a popup that operated during lunch hour serving Dongbei food in a space in YYDS Fried Strings in Rosemead. In Joy Lunch then struck out on their own last year with this space in Alhambra, adding the new names. The old Noodle King had been a Taiwanese noodle fixture before moving out in 2003. Since the new Noodle King also serves some of the Rice Hero/Hero's Kitchen/In Joy Lunch items, the same name seems to be just a coincidence. But despite holdover menu items the staff clearly say they're a new restaurant, with the Noodle King himself greeting you at the front entrance and the signage in both front and back now say Noodle King.

The portions were a bit smaller than I'm used to compared to my go to Thai place. I personally had the bbq chicken and Thai papaya salad. For $17 this dish is not only small it didnt have the traditional Thai taste. No limes, no heat from Chiles. Speaking of heat, if you want it spicy here they just add more crushed red pepper onto your dish. If you want to ask for the Thai chile in fish sauce you'll have to ask personally. We also ordered boat noodles. This dish usually marks my litmus test for authenticity. Unfortunately this dish fell short. No deep rich flavor of pork blood and the noodles were hard. I am going to order these same dishes at my hometown Thai restaurant this week just to be sure I'm not wrong. Parking in the back is available but the westbound side has parking with permit only. Menu has a variety of options... boiled dumplings, pan-fried dumplings, steamed mini buns, stir-fried noodles, regular noodles, rolls & pancakes, side dishes, rice, soup, and beverages. They also have frozen food to-go (just two items... dumplings and dezhou chicken). I got one Steamed Mini Buns (aka Xiao Long Bao), one Stir-Fried Noodles with pork, one Lamb Noodles Soup (with hand torn noodles), and one Jasmine Green Tea with honey. Yes, this seems like a lot of food for one person. I'm not a stranger to bringing food home for another meal. *Steamed Mini Buns - juicy with flavorful pork filling, adequate skin thickness, good size buns *Stir-Fried Noodles with pork - best dish out of the 3, good balance between pork, veggies, and noodles, mild spice level was perfect, portions were reasonable for the price *Lamb Noodles Soup - great amount of lamb and noodles, lamb was tender, noodles were a tad mushy on the edge... they need to be firmer, soup was savory *Jasmine Green Tea with honey - good size cup, tea was a bit bitter, probably needs more honey Food came out steaming hot and timely. Staff and service were wonderful. Yan, the server, was patient and helpful. He did an amazing job working the entire floor by himself. Thank you Yan!
