So sad that I didn't absolutely love this place. I have to get background though that I do come from Orange County, so I have pretty high expectations for Vietnamese food as I've lived in Westminster my whole life. This restaurant is small, easy to find in the corner of small shopping center. The restaurant is pretty busy, but the week goes by pretty quickly. After ordering the food, I was actually kind of surprised at how long it took to bring out. The banh cuon was made first. They sautéed the filling that has a lot of flavor. Their fish sauce was very sweet. 3/5 Also had the pho ga with wide noodles, basically what they are specializing in. The noodles had an artificial taste to them. The broth was interesting, it was kind of cloudy, not very clear. The chicken was flavorful and cooked well. 2/5 Overall, I probably wouldn't come back. I know there's not a lot of spots that specialize in chicken pho so maybe if you are craving and can't make it to OC
What We Ordered: -#9 Pho Ga (L) $13.99 -#12 Pho Nam (L) $13.99 My wife wanted pho, so we decided to try Pho Ga District since it was close by and my friend Cindy S. gave it a good review. Parking was a bit tough in the strip mall, but we found a spot on the side street. The restaurant was busy for a weekday lunch, but we were seated right away. I ordered the Pho Ga, but I wasn't impressed with the bone-in chicken; it was soft and rubbery, almost undercooked. The staff was friendly and helpful though. My wife ordered the #12 Pho Nam, and she loved the tender and flavorful beef. While we didn't enjoy the Pho Ga, we would definitely return for the Pho Nam. I'm still on the hunt for the best pho in the SGV! Hit me up with recommendations!
Was craving some pho, so ate here with my wife recently. I prefer beef pho so I didn't get the Pho Ga (but my wife did). Overall, the Pho was great, and so was the service. Great Broth. The ambiance is no thrills, but totally fine for a pho place in the SGV. Note: Smaller parking lot in a shared plaza. We had to park a little outside the plaza
My go to place for chicken pho and chicken rice. I usually get boneless chicken with dark meat.
We came to Pho Ga District on a Friday evening and found parking easily in the plaza. The restaurant wasn't too busy, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. We tried the Gai Du Du Cho Bo (green papaya & beef salad) and the Banh Cuon (steamed rice rolls with shrimp). The salad had a slightly sweet dressing but overall a nice balance of flavors. The rice rolls were a bit watery and fell apart easily, but still enjoyable. A great spot to explore some lesser-known Vietnamese dishes -- worth checking out if you're looking for something different.
This place has the most pure, clean, clear chicken broth soup base I know of in a noodle restaurant, simple but flavorful. Clear broth, chicken on the bone (or boneless breast cuts, your choice) and rice noodles. No frills homestyle flavor. They have a small menu centered mostly around their chicken, you can order it whole or half with noodles on the side, or a standard bowl of chicken pho ga. Hainan style chicken rice and some Vietnamese mainstays such as egg rolls, beef pho, and bun cuon round out their menu. The staff is attentive and always refilling drinks, adding condiments, and cleaning. They don't do dinner service so check their hours before going and parking is tight as it is a small shared lot with other businesses but worth the visit.
One of the best chicken pho in the SGV! The broth was very rich, almost tasted like drinking a clean rotisserie chicken. It was hearty without making you feel too heavy. They were very generous with bean sports... that were boiled! Can always appreciate when the bean sprouts are cooked. It's a casual mom and pop shop with quick service for a nice and affordable lunch. Came for lunch on Saturday at 11:30 and got seated right away. By 12pm, the restaurant was packed and there was a waitlist starting.
Five stars for the chicken! It's a really small place, very friendly service and food was quick to come out. I got the chicken broth soup and my dad got the Hainan chicken rice. Both were delicious, highly recommend it. Please note the Hainan chicken is cold tho. Prices are average but parking is horrible. You can try to park on the street if the lot is full but it is a dead end narrow street. Not the best place for a meet up with friends due to limited space but amazing for a quick and comforting bite.

My husband ordered a hai nan chicken that came with a delicious chicken broth, and I see why their main star here is the chicken. The chicken was juicy, tender, and that side broth had so much natural chicken flavor it was insane! I will definitely return to try their namesake dish.
Came here right at 10am when they opened on a Wednesday, and I was surprised that there was a good bit of people in here. It's not a large restaurant at all, and as people have mentioned parking is very limited. I ordered the Pho Ga as well as the Banh Cuon, The Pho came out very quickly and it wasn't the biggest bowl I thought it was fair. I normally don't eat pho ga but beef pho or pho tai (which they also have). However, instantly very impressed as it was super clean broth with a great chicken flavor. They allow you to get boneless or bone in chicken I opted for boneless. Banh cuon was pretty good. My mom gave it a 8.5/10. Overall, great experience the servers were really nice could speak English and Cantonese.
This is certainly the best pho ga option in the SGV: very friendly staff (that can speak Cantonese and Mandarin in addition to English and Vietnamese), the broth is very comforting, and the sauces to dip the chicken are the perfect accompaniment. I only wish there was a congee option on the menu!
I've passed by this restaurant a few times before but never dined here until last night. Service: We were seated right away and given some cups of water. I also noticed the waiters all stand by the cashier area so it's very easy to get their attention. Food: We ordered a half chicken, a large plain noodle soup, a banh cuon, and egg rolls. The chicken and noodle soup came out so fast. I like how they have sauces on the table so you can help yourself. I was not a fan of how they chopped the chicken because some pieces of bones were so tiny that I almost accidentally swallowed. The noodle soup was so good though. I can see myself finishing a whole bowl in the winter. I wasn't a fan of the banh cuon but my fiancé really liked it. The egg rolls were so hot and crispy. It actually came out last so we were busy eating everything else before we started eating them but they were still very very hot. Parking: They share a small parking lot with the other stores in the strip mall. A lot of the parking spaces are reserved for other stores. Also the parking spots are tight. Overall a very decent pho ga restaurant. I will definitely be back.
Decent chicken pho. My family loves their steamed whole chicken that we like to get to-go. The steamed chicken's meat is a tougher texture and it reminds my family of the chicken back in Cambodia because the chickens here in America are more plump but have a softer texture.

Pho Ga District, located off San Gabriel Blvd in the city of Rosemead, is an awesome spot to enjoy chicken pho. I am a fan of this style and I love the flavor it has. You can order two different sizes small or large and they have a tasty Vietnamese coffee as well. The inside is quite small but the friendliness of the staff was amazing and such a chill vibe. So if you are ever craving chicken pho this is a pretty good spot to hit up and enjoy. read more
Food - yummy! we got half plate of chicken, chicken broth rice, miếng gà (bean thread noodle chicken soup), eggrolls (skin was thin and crispy). we got this plum snack thing they have (very good, loads of added sugar so pace yourself), Vietnamese coffee - got a good kick, flavorful and not as sweet as say...Lee's Sandwich just for point of reference. Service - quick and attentive. super friendly folks here. Ambiance - good noise level. space is clean with a bit of humor with the signs they have sprinkled around the place. Will surely come back and order the rice rolls. read more

Best pho ga near me so far. Service is quick and friendly. Pho ga was perfectly done. I really enjoy the medium wide rice noodles. It's soft and slurpy. I like their sauces on the side to dip my chicken or to spruce up my broth. My favorite was ginger with the spicy soy. Simple and comforting of a meal. Pho ga is not as heavy as beef pho, but in a good way~ much lighter and clean tasting Lastly, my Thai tea was just filled with ice to the brim (like some places...) and not too sweet. It was perfect :) A pretty busy lunch spot, but tables move quickly. Support this small shop if you're a fan of chicken pho! read more

Pho Ga District is the place to visit when the weather gets a bit chilly. They have big bowls of Vietnamese chicken noodle soup and chicken rice plates. If there's a line, get on the waiting list. The team is really friendly and attentive, which equals a lot of happy, well-fed customers. As for seating, depending on your party size, it's semi-communal. Pho Ga: You need to answer a few questions when ordering about noodle type, bowl size, and chicken preference. It's a good sign when they ask if you want meat with bones or no bones. Always get bone-in. I got the large bowl, and it had a good amount of rice noodles and plenty of tender meat. The table has a jar of freshly grated ginger, which with some sambal really helps the clear and tasty broth. Parking: The strip mall parking is really small and restrictive. I just found street parking lot front. read more

Whether you're hungover or just looking for something hearty, the chicken pho here is amazing! The staff and friendly and they bring out the food really quick so if you're in a hurry and want soup hearty meal, this place is it. A nice casual place for friends, family, and even kids. read more

Ordered to go. Steamed rice roll with pork and shrimp: pretty good. The rice roll were fresh and soft. Chicken innards: loved the gizzard and liver Duck rice vermicelli soup and Chicken glass noodle soup with bamboo shoot were both super delicious and flavorful. Chicken with Hainan rice: unfortunately they ran out of Hainan rice so they gave us white rice instead. Chicken was tender though. And both ginger sauce and spicy soy sauce were great. Loved everything we ordered. All tasted fresh and clean. Can't wait to go back! read more
my favorite pho ga restaurant!! it's a family-owned business and they are the cutest. i used to come here all the time during college and they still remember me every time i come. they specialize in pho ga - duh, and for good reason! i would say give this restaurant a shot and then thank me for it later. :3 they're usually always packed during the mornings and afternoons - i even bumped into michelle phan here LOL. 1000/10 would come back, heck i still do. love this place to death! read more

Pho Ga District is one of my regular places for pho ga and my main place for bun cuon. The store is a mom and pop shop and I love supporting local businesses. However, I don't visit just to support local, the food here is actually REALLY solid. Egg roll: I don't always order them when I get viet food, but I was craving them recently. The egg rolls here probably aren't the best you'll ever have, but they are still really good. They don't skimp on the filling and they are fried perfectly. I just wish there were some pickled veggies to go with. Pho Ga: this is one of my regular orders. I love the clean broth so much! The noodles are great and they also ask what type of noodle you prefer! You can choose bone-in or boneless, but being lazy, I opt for boneless. You don't get crazy portions of chicken, but it's enough for me. Bun Cuon: this is a MUST get for me every time I visit. I always get a large portion. They have some Thai chili's in soy on the side, get some of those marinated chili pieces and add it on top of your bun cuon pieces after you sauce it with fish sauce. That spice kick is amazing . Just thinking about it makes me hungry again Chicken and rice: decent, the price and portion are comparable to most places. I think the rice was a bit harder for my liking so this isn't a regular dish for me. read more

Simplicity is the best, and this Vietnamese restaurant Pho Ga have gone above and beyond with their signiture dishes. We ordered 1/2 chicken and bowls of plain pho (rice noodle), the small chicken was very flavorful, irregardless white or dark meats, both were very tender. I am usually not a fan of white meats, surprisingly, they were great, It is prolly the best chicken I have in years... The pho was medium width in size, not too thin or too thick, eventho the soup was plain, not bland at all. Parking can be a bitch, the parking lot is quite small... My aunt brought me their whole steamed chicken for a family potluck and it was delicious. I decided to check out the actual restaurant. I ordered the chicken pho and you have the option of bone-in or boneless chicken. It comes with their medium rice noodle but you can also choose thin or glass noodle. The noodles were a bit too soft and overcooked but the broth and chicken had great flavor. I normally don't drink the broth but I drank most of it. I also like that they cook the pea shoots prior to serving as well. The egg rolls are a must - the stuffing is better than other typical egg rolls from other pho restaurants. The service was quick, friendly and food came out fast. The restaurant is also very clean. All the condiments were spotless and containers you can tell they make sure it's presentable. read more
