Bacari was consistently good. It's tapas style plates, and all six dishes we ordered were delicious. My favorite may have been the oyster mushrooms, which was served like a gyro sandwich. That was surprising because all of the other dishes were quite good and some of my usual favorites. Even the dessert (a date cake) was rich and decadent. I would definitely come back and try some other dishes!

This time I came for dinner, which was a better choice. It was still warm as fudge upstairs, but not nearly as noisy on a weeknight. Service from Noah was exceptional. The Scallops, Pork Belly, Moroccan Cigars, Lamb Hummus, and Chef's Salmon were all bangers. My only critique is toning down the salt.

I've been a regular at other Bacari locations for a while now (especially the Silverlake one), so I was super happy to hear that one had opened closer to where I live! We were seated quickly since we had a reservation, but service was a little slow on a Friday night. The ambiance was very cozy indoors. However, I did find the lighting to be quite dark, as I wasn't able to see my food very well even with the candlelight. For food we ordered the sea bass, pistachio lamb kebabs, Mac & cheese, Jidori chicken wings, and Brussels sprouts and they were all great as expected! My only disappointment is that they didn't have my favorite Bacari dish, mujadara, on the menu. Overall, I had a good time here and I'm looking forward to returning again.

Came here on a Thursday night for some yummy tapas with a friend and it did not disappoint. We got the crudo, beets, chicken shawarma tacos, and asian pear and arugula pizza. My fav was the pizza which had the thinnest crust and the most perfect toppings and sauce. To drink, I got the socal mocktail which was very refreshing. We sat on the upstairs patio which was super cute and moody at night time.

Just tried Bacari Long Beach for brunch, and I'm officially a fan! I LOVE small plates, sharing is caring after all ;) We tried the lamb hummus, barramundi crudo, crab cake benedict, schnitzel, and french toast. Everything was delicious, but the standouts for me were definitely the lamb hummus and schnitzel. So good! And can we talk about the space?! The decor and all the little thoughtful touches make this place absolutely stunning. It's beautiful without feeling stuffy, and there's something fun to discover in every corner. We also brought our 3-month-old along, and the staff was incredibly accommodating and welcoming. Brandon was one of our servers and really stood out with his spot-on recommendations and excellent service. He checked in often without ever feeling overbearing, which I always appreciate. I'd highly recommend coming with a group so you can order more and try a little bit of everything! This would also be such a fun spot for a girls' night.

The food was tasty but very expensive for small portions. Keeping that in mind, it is a good restaurant for the aesthetics and yummy bites. It's also the type of place where it's hard to hear the person you're talking to. It was also quite hot even in the dining room as I noticed seeing all the waiters struggling to keep cool. I booked a reservation 2 days in advance and there was plenty of availability, and it was during dineLA too. When we were there we noticed a lot of people waiting outside so definitely book ahead if possible. We each got the dineLA meals and then added extra plates since it was pretty small. We also got drinks for happy hour: the sangria and the Socal Staple. Both were okay, I was originally requesting the Blushing Botanica but it was out of stock. For food we had the following for dineLA: 1. App- romaine heart salad, Main: Brussel sprouts & grilled chicken breast, Dessert: vegan double chocolate cake 2. App- tuscan kale salad, Main: tripoline pasta & sea bass, Dessert: malabi Extras: scallop medallions, chicken schnitzel Everything was $190 for two people and didn't quite fill us up. The tuscan kale salad, tripoline pasta, sea bass, and chicken schnitzel were tasty and I could recommend. The romaine heart, brussel sprouts, and grilled chicken breast were okay and I probably wouldn't get them again. The scallops were actually not full scallops but almost like blended or ground up scallops, as explained by our waiter, which made the texture and density quite different from a normal scallop, which definitely made them more dense and chewy. The grilled chicken breast tasted very tangy and almost like mustard, with strong flavors from the jalapeno. The vegan double chocolate cake was served with ice cream as recommended by our waiter but it wasn't very sweet and you could definitely tell it was vegan. The malabi was even less sweet/tasty and the taste from the hibiscus was the main flavor as the custard itself was very plain. The seating was pretty tightly packed, the table we were sat at for two was wedged between two larger tables by the front window and felt uncomfortable as there was little room to get up or even have anything protrude from our table. It could have definitely been placed somewhere else or been removed altogether. We checked out the upstairs outdoor area which had a nice ambiance and great view of the sunset but the bar was full so unfortunately we could not take a seat there. Parking is the usual situation for 2nd st, but we got there early evening on a Friday and luckily found a close spot on the street so we didn't have to pay for valet. Overall, if you're looking to eat lightly and splurge on unique flavors this would be a good spot. But just keep in mind the small aspects of both the food and the space.

This is the 2nd story open air (not really rooftop). Super cute. They cut our cake no charge!

We've been going to Bacari locations all over the city for years and we were happy to hear they opened in Long Beach. We went for a birthday and wanted rooftop seating. Reservations: 10/10. Easy and they send you a text to confirm. They even responded to my text when I asked about cake cutting - they don't charge!! Parking: 9/10. Parking can be a bit of a challenge if you don't want to pay for valet. Facility: 10/10: although the top floor is not really a rooftop, it's more open air, the top floor was cute and had an upstairs bar as well as a downstairs bar. Some of the tables were very close together. Overall it was super cute and what you'd expect from Bacari. Bathrooms: 5/10: Sadly, the bathrooms weren't very clean when we were there at 8pm. Food: 7/10. Bacari is a place where you can experiment because their food items are meant to be shared. They are smaller plates in nature, but you can get lots of items and try them out. Food: Overall, their food tends to be over saturated with certain ingredients in one way or another and this goes for all Bacari locations. Either everything comes with "lemon" or everything has some sort of "nut" and it's too much. Not everyone wants nuts on their food, and in some cases it's just not even necessary and seems to be a "filler". Besides that, my daughter is severely nut allergic and had to get a special menu which lowered the outcome of our experience. I'm not even allergic to nuts - I just don't like them on my food! Charred broccoli: 10/10. Very good! House baguette with oil: 9/10. Sliced thin, warm and tasty - we ordered two! Sea Bass: 9/10. These sea bass itself was a bit bland but when you top it with the corn it was another level. Shawarma tacos: 6/10. These were flavorful but just not our vibe. Bacari fries (no egg): 6/10. The sauce was ok, none of us were really impressed with this dish and would skip next time. Prices: 10/10: Since their menu is mainly small plates it's pretty reasonable. Service: 10/10. No issues! Overall we like Bacari and will be back.

First time at BACARI ! Really enjoyed our brunch. The space looks noticeably better than before -- the updated décor feels warmer, more polished, and gives the restaurant a much more inviting atmosphere. The music was also great and set the perfect upbeat-but-relaxed tone for a Sunday brunch. We shared several dishes, including the beef and veggie burekas, chilaquiles, avocado toast, shawarma tacos, and watermelon. Everything worked well for sharing, which is one of the things I like most about Bacari. We also enjoyed a couple bottles of Sauvignon Blanc, so it turned into a very leisurely brunch. There were big groups which is to be expected at brunch but one table brought a newborn, who they passed around the table like an appetizer. Not sure why people think brunch is appropriate for newborns, or even children, but luckily we were almost done when they sat. Overall, the combination of good, shareable food, improved atmosphere, great music, and a fun setting made for a really enjoyable afternoon. Will be back for happy hour soon!

The food is tapa style. Lots of choices. The food was so good !! The service was really good. The vibes are great here. It is so cute!! The drinks looked delicious though I pretty much stuck to wine. They have 90 minute bottomless drinks you can choose from and that was 40 dollars. The drinks were about 13 + so it was a deal for our group. We were celebrating a birthday and staff came over to say Happy Birthday to our friend. We got two complimentary deserts which were yummy !! I highly recommend this place! It was 10/10 experience Will definitely be back. I will add that it doesnt seem like a place for little ones.

Came here for my friends birthday dinner. I reserved a table and my friends were a bit late but they were still nice enough to let me sit at my table. Staffs are very friendly and very accommodating. We sat on the first floor, nice ambience and decor. The food was tapa style, which is the first time for me, and it was all amazing ! Everything was great and I have no complaints on the food. My favorite would probably be the crudo, pear pizza and the sea bass ! I believe my group was helped by Justin and Janice. Very kind and helpful ! I will be definitely coming here again.

This Bacari location is located on 2nd street in Long Beach and is fairly new. Hype is still real so make reservations! We went on a Friday night and a few days prior we checked for reservations and they were BOOKED! We took our chances as walk ins around 6:15pm and were quoted almost two hour wait-- luckily ended up only being 45 minutes! We were seated on the rooftop by luck which had all the summer vibes. Perfect for a girls night! We did opt in to the 90 minute open bar which is $30 per person for sangria and beer. Cocktails are $40 per person. Our server kept the drinks going and I was there for it! The food is tapas style so we ordered quite a few dishes. All the dishes were chef kiss. Highly recommend the chicken schnitzel, bacari fries, street corn and the schwarma tacos. We also ordered dessert which was so good. The chocolate cake and bread pudding were top tier. Although the kitchen was a bit behind the food quality was fantastic and absolutely delicious! Overall, a great spot in Long Beach. Will definitely be back with reservations!

Such a great new spot in Long Beach! Located in the former Michael's/Bacari space, this place already has a lively energy and was definitely busy when I visited. It's a great place to meet up with friends, but I also really liked the atmosphere for going by yourself, sitting at the bar, or having a date night. Abe was my bartender and he was fantastic! He made me an amazing Eastside/Eastern Standard cocktail -- depending on what you call it -- and it was perfectly made and so refreshing. I also tried the stuffed mushrooms, and they were delicious and full of flavor. Between the drinks, food, atmosphere, and service, I really enjoyed my experience. It's nice to see something new and vibrant in this Long Beach location. I'll definitely be back!

Back for round 2, and this time popped!!! First item of order, our servers Kayli and Leah were so helpful, knowledgeable and fun, and they really set the tone for a super lively evening!!! Food this round was great!! Green falafel had a great mix of flavors on the plate, and the vegan mushroom street tacos, while with some flavors that did not quite mesh, still had excellent crunch and texture. The bread pudding here is a star, and my cocktail of the evening- resurrection - was indeed a revelation of the well balanced. Scene on the rooftop was lively as ever.

A very welcoming vibe upon entry, we were greeted by a friendly couple who answered our questions about popular drink flavors. We decided to go with a Hot Cinnamon Dulce Latte and an Iced Blueberry Lavender Latte. While waiting, there were plenty of chairs, tables, a comfy couch and even a bar area to sit and relax. Tons of board games, books and wonderfully mellow music helps make the experience feel comforting and inviting. Our drinks were prepared quickly and shouted at the coffee bar for pickup. The presentation was great, but the flavors, out of this world! The Cinnamon Dulce Latte was OUTSTANDING. So good, in fact, that my girlfriend stole it from me! Not to worry, her Blueberry Lavender Latte was also top-notch, with a smooth, not-to-sweet flavor combination. Friendly staff (which comes with occasional karaoke renditions from the Bluetooth speakers), a chill vibe and outstanding drinks make this a top spot in the area for hardcore coffee lovers. Dear Team at The Ordinarie Tavern,…read more The Ordinarie has officially become one of our favorite places! We love it so much that we cannot wait to bring more of our friends and family. During our visit, we wanted to try everything on the menu. The presentation was very nice, the food and the cocktails was delicious, the portions were just right and the prices were reasonable. Booking a reservation was super easy. I reserved a patio table for 6 guests at 6:30pm on a Friday night in the middle of summer! I was easily able to modify it and received text verification of my reservation. I didn't pay a dime to use the online booking system. The ambiance was very nice, semi private and the weather was perfect However, the best part of our evening was our server, Isabella. She was incredibly welcoming, attentive, animated, and knowledgeable. She truly made our night! With much gratitude, Brenda

Five stars for atmosphere except the fact that they kept the front door open, which let the heat in and, since it was during the day, let daylight in, which kind of destroyed the mood. We tried to change our seat but they have a strange strict policy about not moving tables and specifically assigning certain tables to certain parties. And because this is a popular pop up, there weren't any open seats at the bar which is very immersive and very heavily decorated. We didn't have the best experience with the server that we asked about switching our table, but fortunately that was not our server and we were glad to be at our table because we absolutely loved our server, Cindy. She had great energy and was very responsive to our questions and needs. It was a delight every time she came to our table. And we loved that she and the other servers were dressed up in costume for Halloween even though it was the beginning of October. Every cocktail is themed and comes in its own themed glassware, although you're not allowed to switch up which drink is in which glass. I enjoyed the Tangled Web cocktail in the spider web coupe and the Liquid Lobotomy Tiki style cocktail in the creepy doll head mug. There weren't a lot of gluten-free options for lunch, so I got the Caesar salad without croutons and added salmon. The salad was fine but the salmon was overcooked (I asked for medium rare and it was medium or a bit more than that). But good to have something in my stomach for those cocktails.

I never expected to find stellar cocktails and wings inside of a hotel, but you truly never know…read more Let's start with the cocktails; they are KILLING it. The menu has a ton of really detailed options, each drink with its own depth. The menu changes seasonally but what doesn't change is the smoked old fashioned - a must-order. They smoke your drink in a glass container using applewood chips; it's quite a show and it also does make the drink much more enjoyable. Ask the bartender and they can also help guide you to a drink - I've done it a couple of times and always pleasantly surprised. Next up, the food! The hummus was very flavorful and paired with an amazing fluffy pita bread. The truffle fries were solid but the plate was HUGE, definitely needs a friend to share. The Nashville wings are the star of the show. I cannot stress this enough, this is worth a DRIVE for. The seasoning really does remind you of Howlin' Rays (the highest compliment) and the chicken is extremely crispy yet insanely juicy. The pickles and ranch that it comes with pairs so well. Do note that they are tossing it in pork fat, which enhances the depth but also makes it a little greasy at the end. I also wished they'd warn you this and offer to order it without it; especially for those who don't eat pork or for those trying to cut some calories. There's a happy hour menu too!!! So you can get drinks and food even cheaper. I cannot stop thinking about this place. It's such a sleeper. Head to Midnight Oil after a visit to continue your night.

I eventually ordered the Crispy Shrimp & Calamari to eat as my main (I was dining alone). I had recently had a very notable version of the same dish at a Canopy by Hilton in Washington DC, and unfortunately, this one did not measure up. The breading was average and the sweet chili aioli was poor. I asked for ranch instead, which was an improvement but still not great. The portion itself was fine. Service was solid and friendly! I'd rate the staff around a 4. Based on the food I had, the kitchen lands closer to a 2.5 to 3. Fine if you're already in the hotel and want something casual, but not an amazing choice for the fried seafood.

There was a good amount of people already inside which could be that in between lunch rush and beginning of happy hour. Getting a table was a cinch as we were seating right away on the patio. It is pet friendly which is also nice. Layout of the restaurant is, majority of the seating is outdoor which is covered. There's the dining area inside the restaurant which is pretty small, another patio to the side of that as well as the private room to the side for more of an intimate experience. Mainly the front patio and bar area tends to be the busiest. Staff were all amazing and friendly which is a major plus. Nobody wants to come an establishment where service is snooty and rude. Everyone was a major doll and the sweetest. Our waiter, I didn't get his name was the sweetest. As it was HH, they only had that menu available. Limited but still decent for what was offered. A good selection in cocktails items and for the price, they were great. As for food, same with limited items but pricing was great. They're known for the Mac and cheese with hot Cheetos as pretty much loads of the tables had ordered it. We've had it prior but this time opted out on it. Started off with one of their sangria which comes either red or white and an old fashioned. Both on the HH menu and very reasonable for 7.00 a pop. Cant beat that. Sangria was quite refreshing with the fruit slices while the old fashioned, it was strong. Actually worth it for 7.00. Food, a mixture of things to share. An order of their fries with parsley and rosemary with an aioli sauce for dipping, 8.00. The braised cheddar brat with house mustard, caramelized onions, Calabrian chili with basil and shallot for 11.00. Quite tasty and flavorful with all the topping and served in a nice roll. The chicken sandwich which was quite big. Fried chicken with cheddar and American cheese, chef sauce, pickles on a benne seed bun for 11.00. And lastly the attic cheeseburger with new school American cheese, pickles, grilled onion aioli, caramelized onions on a benne seed bun cooked medium for 12.00. It was tasty but between that and the chicken sandwich, chicken takes the leads. Pricewise for the sandwiches was great. Everything is à la carte on the menu. They do have other main dishes but we just stuck to the sandwiches. Also a second round of drinks was had. The mango margaritas and the classic. Both tasty and for 7.00 a pop, can't beat that. The whole experience was great. Service was excellent and all the staff were amazing. Patio seating is great as it's perfect for people watching and enjoying the outdoor. Until next time.
