Beef Fat Fries, Rambo's Spice Bag, Lumpia, Birria Ramen, Pollo a la Brasa
    Lisa N.

I came in and was seated right away. The staff was incredibly nice and attentive, which made the experience even better. The lighting was dim, and I really enjoyed the cool, laidback vibes of the place. The food was great. My friend ordered the Rambo's Spice Bag. If you're a spice lover, it's a must try. It's packed with flavor and has the kick of spice. We also tried some appetizers. They had lumpia for a Mother's Day special. We also ordered beef fat fries. Both were fried perfectly and seriously addictive. The beef fat fries came with whole cloves of garlic, which honestly made my night. I had the Birria Ramen, which was super flavorful and the noodles were perfectly bouncy. My sibling got the Pollo a la Brasa, and I tried the yuca fries that came with it. That dipping sauce?! Whatever it was? It was immaculate. Overall, a great spot with delicious food and good vibes.

Wings had seriously strong smoke flavor, a lot of meat on em too. Burgers had a great crisp lt edge but still had some pink in the middle. Fries had some density to them and were great. Service was attentive at the bar. Impressed with jack Daniel's 10 and 12 being on the menu, but I think it was $33 a pour. They had some other high end rare whiskey available as well. Menu could have a few more entries on it.

Service: we sat at the bar and the two bartenders were great! Very attentive and even helped us take a group photo. Food: I had the beef sliders and old fashioned. Everything was good. I switched to beer and sampled 2 light ones. Bartender recommendations were spot on. Ambiance: we came around 5:30 to hit the tail end of Happy Hour. They dimmed the lights around 6:30pm. This is a small restaurant with a bar towards the front. It connects to another restaurant on the right, which is now a BBQ joint. Their HH is from 4-6 Monday-Friday.

Definitely a cozy little spot hidden in Mosaic District Merrifield. Never really noticed this spot driving around Mosaic but stumbled upon their yelp page and decided to try out their smash burger. They have a small menu, but everything tastes quality. It was the first time i've had beef fat fries and you can taste the difference between regular fries. The burger was cooked perfectly and while my initial thought looking at the menu was that they had some high prices, I think their food is worth the price point.

The restaurant is small, cozy, clean; and inviting. The service was quick and efficient but the food was delicious a mix of Korean BBQ flavors with slow/smoky/tender/juicy of American southern comforter BBQ flavors.

Ayoooo... this place was thee truth!!! My photos didn't even do the smash burger and beef fat fries any justice!!! Talk about a Chef's kiss.... that foot went crazy!!!! My wife and I dropped by for a quick lunch date and were both surprised by how delicious the food was!!! My goodness... it was so good! The smashburgers were so juicy and the portion was beyond filling. 10 out of 10. Definitely recommend. My wife said that food was bussin'--and we only got the smashburgers and fries. Drawback: service was a bit slow. When we arrived at around 2, there wasn't a lot of people there, but the gentleman at the bar told us they're moving slow; coming in and out, every so often. But i will say--our waiter was super nice and friendly. With that info, we quickly glanced at the menu on our phones and by the time they came to the table, we placed the order. But all in all, the food was BANGIN'!!!! If you're in the area or near the Archer hotel, Ima need you to either drop by and try the smashburger, or order takeout--because my God!!! Best smashburger I've had in quite some time . Lastly, ambiance was cool. A little small or narrow on the inside but love the vibes and the music playing overhead. Good stuff.

This cozy spot is tucked back in the Mosaic District and has a chill bar atmosphere and wonderful and attentive staff. I was recommended the So Fresh, So Clean cocktail which was refreshing and the perfect amount of sweetness Food was delicious and served quick. I got the Rambo's Spice Bag and if you are a spice fan it is delicious and has a crazy kick to it. We also got the special for the day which was lumpia and beef fat fries which were both fried so nicely and addicting to eat.

Such a cute little bar/restaurant!! We went on a Friday evening as a group of 4 with a reservation. We loved the ambiance, the drinks, and the food. I'd recommend having a reservation, especially if you have more than 2 people, as the restaurant is not very large and most tables are meant for 2. The matcha cocktail was spectacular and so pretty. I also tried the cocktail with gin and basil, which was refreshing. The smash burger was delicious and the fries had great flavor and crisp. This was a great place if you want something casual but still feels a little elevated. I loved the records playing as well. Will definitely return to try more.

Came into grab some food before going to a movie. Sat at the bar and was provided menus and water promptly. I ordered the smashburger and a cocktail. Both were delicious. My level of service did taper off date to received my food. The space was a no frills bar.

We came for brunch on Sunday afternoon and shocked that no one was here. The restaurant reminds me of trendy restaurants in hipster neighborhood in San Francisco or San Diego. Amazing food! Chicken & waffles and duck confit were delicious. Kids had the French toast. They dug into them so quickly without a chance for pictures. Excellent service. No complaints here!

The existing reviews are pretty spot on for what you can expect at B-side. We decided to stop in on a Sunday afternoon and there was no need for a reservation however, around 7 PM it did start to fill up. The service was somewhat lackluster in that nobody greeted us, or even handed us a menu for several minutes after sitting at the bar. It wasn't actually even clear if there was a reservation system being honored because there was nobody at the door, and nobody was speaking to any patrons as they entered. There were only two staff people working, but the lady at the bar was doing everything but helping or speaking the guests. Nonetheless, we were able to eventually place our orders and opted for the burgers, as that is what everyone says that B-side is known for! And they were right! The burger was absolutely delicious and the fries were a very different but tasty treat. I'm a huge fan of garlic, so the fries were absolutely wonderful! The burger itself was rather large because it is a double patty but again the flavor was delicious and you could tell that it was really quality beef. The only recommendation I would have is that they take a little bit of the lettuce off. Overall, the quality of the food makes B-side worth the visit! It also has a really cozy ambience that makes it a great place to meet up with friends and have a drink or even solo dine. While the service could be improved, I will definitely stop in again for the delicious food and to try one of their cocktails (I heard many whispers that the drinks were good!).

Really enjoy coming here on the weekend. They have rotating cocktails based on the season and change up their appetizers, so I always have something new to try. Beef fat fries are always a must. They've changed the recipe and made them more crispy (yum). My husband and I like to order different things and split them, so I had half a chicken sandwich and half a smash burger. They were both really good, but there was more flavor in the chicken sandwich. For my cocktail I had Love Street which tasted like a sweet basil. My husband had the vanilla Manhattan which tastes exactly like it sounds lol.

(I didn't remind him that my experience last time was subpar.) All that to say, we went in with open hearts and minds - and hungry bellies. Took a while to get our drinks, but the coffee was good once it arrived. Did have to ask for cream, which again l, took a little while to receive. Our orders were taken and after a while our food arrived. I found it pretty funny that my Make Your Mark breakfast, in which you get to choose the style of egg and the meat, contained the wrong meat. Clearly you don't really have any say in the matter. The sausage patties that I had ordered were not there. Instead, I noticed after the servers had delivered the food, there was bacon on my plate and no sausages. Not a big deal, but we did have breakfast for dinner one night last week, including bacon, so I had really wanted those sausage patties! However, it really wasn't worth flagging down our server who seemed non-existent once the food was delivered and I tucked in. Everything was fine, though I find it really odd that they don't season their eggs or hash browns at all. Unlike during COVID, thankfully, they do have salt and pepper on the table now. My husband began eating his sausage gravy biscuits and made a disgusted face. His gravy was barely warm. Isn't that odd? Wouldn't you think it came from a bubbling vat of hot gravy, poured over oven hot biscuits? He's rarely one to notice anything worth complaining about, but this put him over. He flagged down our waitress when he saw her next and asked if she could heat it up. She said she would just ask for a new plate to be made. Fine, though we knew that would take a while. He finally received it after our son and I were both finished our meals. No problem, I drank my coffee and we chatted while he ate. The only problem, was that it seemed to be the same temperature as the previous plate. Clearly, they are keeping the gravy barely warm. (Health safety?!) To top it all off, when we finally got the bill, which took asking for, they had put two meals of the sausage gravy biscuits. Now my husband had to complain again to get one of them removed. So, you leave feeling like you are the bad guy or the grumpy patron and it sours the whole experience. I am certain we will not return. Oh well, hopefully you have a better experience - twice is enough for us, though.

I'm a newer vegetarian, and I've tried falafel from quite a few places at this point and if I'm being honest, I had started to get a little turned off by it. But this place completely changed that for me. Their falafel wrap? Absolutely incredible. You can truly taste the difference. They make their falafel fresh daily, and it shows. It was perfectly seasoned, savory, and MOUTH-WATERING. Not dry, not overly heavy, just pure perfection. I'm still thinking about it, and I would go back just for that wrap alone. We also tried a few appetizers, and everything hit. The fries were perfectly crisp (not soggy at all), the Brussels sprouts were packed with flavor, and the hummus was smooth and fresh, exactly what you want. The crudités were also a great touch and paired really well with everything else and whatever homemade sauce they're using? That took everything to another level. My friend ordered a salad, and even that stood out. The beets were incredibly fresh, and you could tell that quality is a priority across the entire menu.
