It's hard to find a good tea-forward place nowadays so I'm glad this shop is close by! I was able to try 2 milk teas and 2 pure tea; all tasted sooo good. If you want a place where you can taste the tea, this place is a must! Those who are used to the syrupy or powdered milk teas may think this is watered down but the milk tea here allows the tea to shine. I come back to X Tea every once in a while to try any new items on their menu. It's always exciting to see what they have since they often have teas that can't be found at any other boba places like their recent camellia, gardenia, and pu'er teas. I love how their milk teas are well balanced so that you can properly taste the tea behind the milk and sweetness. This time I got the gardenia milk tea which is now my new favorite. stopped by here after an early dinner at Claw Shack on a wednesday. this used to be another boba shop so I was curious to try. their menu is a little hard to read but they have an ordering screen you can order from. I ended up getting the Bamboo Oolong Milk Tea because the cashier said it tasted like sugarcane. I had gotten it 75% sweet but had to ask for more sweetness after. I think I was expecting more sugarcane similarity so the sweetness wasn't enough lol. Tbh it tasted like vietnamese sweet tofu dessert, like if you drank the liquid from the tofu? the presentation was so cute but the taste was 3/5. i'm bumping the review to 4 because the cashier was super sweet and helpful. there's some couches here so you can easily hang out with friends and family. keep in mind the parking lot is usually filled so parking might not be easy. read more

The osmanthus oolong milk tea was underwhelming as it didn't have much of a tea taste or creamy texture (the milk used was the house milk). Not sure if the house milk is suppose to be so watery. This has to be one of my favorite places to go now, though the drink was somewhat inconsistent. I got the jasmine milk tea with matcha agar boba. The agar boba though did not taste like matcha at all, just regular agar boba. The first sip of the jasmine milk tea was super good though. The tea was fragrant and it was a nice balance between the milk and the tea. But after that sip, it was kinda average as for some reason most of the tea flavor went out the window. It was still a great drink though and slightly cheaper than most of the shops in the area. I came here thinking X Tea was going to be extremely aesthetic, but I was extremely let-down as soon as I entered. When my friend and I visited X Tea, the kiosk was broken so we ordered from a worker. One of the workers (that poor girl) had to tell every single person who came in that the kiosk was broken until they finally put a sign on it saying it was broken. They have one bathroom with a code you must ask the workers for to enter it. The table we sat at (next to the window) was filthy - with strands of hair and sticky residue - and the couch/chairs were stained. I got the Mango Jasmine Tea ($5.95), and I thought it was just OK, not amazing. My friend got the Super Fruit Tea and it was laughable how comically massive the cup was. When they said "SUPER fruit tea" damn they weren't playing around. I thought the rectangular-ness of the cup was pretty cool though. To our surprise, they provided a fork to eat the chunks of fruit floating on the top of the drink. However, we both did not enjoy the taste of the tea itself, nor the fruits... Also, minor detail - we both kept mistaking the swirly dotted lines on my cup for strands of hair. I bumped up my review to 3 stars due to X Tea's exceptional service! My friend had asked for half sweet for his Super Fruit Tea, but it didn't taste sweet at all. The worker was so nice to add more sweetness (to around 75% iirc) upon his request! Last thing I'll add is that there was a lot of parking available. Overall though, both my friend and I will not be coming back to X Tea. read more

The rose tea was ok, but the rose flavor was a little bit artificial for my taste. The four seasons spring oolong tea was yummy, and the tea flavor came through nicely. The boba was well cooked and chewy. They also do cheese foam which I am excited to try. We came in around 6:00pm on a Tuesday. Parking can get a bit busy in the lot because it has The Claw Shack and some other popular businesses, but spots open up fast. They also have a happy hour deal on weekdays. I stopped by after getting dinner at Clawshack and as intrigued by the bamboo milk tea. I've never heard of that before so decided to try it! It comes in a cute bamboo cup holder too. The tea itself was really interesting and personally not for me. The flavors very light and they also add orange into the drink so it's a bit citrusy. The boba texture was good and on point. My friends and I decided to try this place and we were not disappointed! When I first visited X Tea, I ordered the cheesy berry drink. This was more like a smoothie with salty cheese foam on top. Customer service was fantastic! Staff is very attentive and willing to answer any questions you may have. They were able to describe the different tea flavor profiles to help us reach a decision on which drinks to get. Store is very clean and has plenty of seating available for you to work or talk with friends as you have your drink. Their bamboo oolong teas were recommended but I personally think this can be an acquired taste; it will not be for everyone. (Proceed with caution when ordering!!) In regard in their fruit and plain teas, the tea flavor is bolder than most other tea places which I prefer so it was definitely a bonus. The milk tea was not sweet at all but the Peach Oolong Tea tasted pretty sweet. The boba itself was slightly sweet and on the firmer side. I didn't like the milk tea - it didn't have a strong tea flavor and wasn't sweet enough, but the Peach Oolong Tea was OK. It says "fresh fruit" but it seemed to be made with a syrup, so I'm not 100% confident it's made with fresh fruit. Love!! They actually make flavored tea that isn't full of syrups, so I can drink the flavor without all the sugars (which for some reason is SO hard to come by). Plus, dairy free options are FREE (ikr what)! The workers here are always so nice and helpful. I'm so grateful that this place exists. The ambiance is cute, kind of a lounge vibe. I do wish they had average height tables and chairs for people who want to work (or just prefer that).
