I've found them to be a little inconsistent. I first tried their chorizo breakfast burrito and it was one of the best breakfast burritos I've had that I didn't make myself. Next I tried their carne asada burrito. The first few bites were good, but after that all I could taste was salt. Now I usually have a high tolerance for salty things, but this was so salty that I threw half of it away, unable to force myself to eat another bite. Now I'm almost scared to go there again. I'll be trying their carne asada tacos sometime within the next month or two and I hope they're good because my first impression of this place was positive but the second impression left me in doubt. Their chorizo burrito was worthy of 4 or 4.5 stars, the carne asada I had was worthy of 2 or 2.5 stars, leaving an average between 3 and 3.5. Until I go again, I'm leaving it at a 3. read more

Unfortunately, their vegetarian options aren't actually vegetarian, as their rice contains chicken broth. Options are listed as vegetarian, and the staff will tell you that they are vegetarian unless you specifically ask about chicken/lard content. Get food , atmosphere is reasonable considering the price. I really like the convince , in that your able to gas up as well. The down fall is there are no beverages to be purchased with in the restaurant. Instead you must go to the gas station to purchase drinks. Love the breakfast burritos. The dinner is a bit on the salty side, and never get my order right. It's for these reasons I rate it 3 1/2. read more

We saw this new mexcican restront today in the news and review today. Got on yelp to check it out the reviews were good, so we had to go cheak it out are self. Wow it was so good .I love every bite of my nachos. My other half got the enchanted meal and that was really good. We got the free taco and that was enough to make two out of it. This is my favorite Mexican food place in town! The fish tacos are the best I've ever eaten anywhere. The sope is fresh and obviously made by hand. What I love most is the consistency. All the ingredients are always super fresh. I have never had a bad meal here. My dad is super judgey about Mexican food- even he had nothing but rave reviews! This place is amazing. I'd give 5 stars if they were in a larger space with better parking. It can get awkward standing or sitting in there but the food it well worth it and super cheap! Came here 2 days ago and absolutely loved the food and pleasant, quick service. I returned tonight and was unfortunately met with the opposite. I had called in an order to pick up, and when I came in to pay the girl working seemed overly irritated that I had even dared to enter the restaurant. It made me feel extremely uncomfortable. Would have loved returning to this restaurant but the unpleasant service which I received was less than appreciated. If you don't like your job, find a new one, don't take it out on the customer. 2 stars because the food is wonderful. read more

Seriously the best Mexican place in town now. It's hidden in a small building on a gas station lot. Parking is weird because it does share the gas pump lot, but the food is authentic and amazing. The staff is very friendly too and the prices are awesome. Carnitas burritos are the best. read more

I totally understand why some people had some trouble figuring out where this place was, and the owners must have read reviews or heard the same, because they've got a great flag announcing 'Mexican food' out front now that was the first thing I saw when I turned down the street. This place is definitely tiny, and the parking situation is a little confusing, but it was definitely worth it. I had a chimichanga con pollo and it was simply delicious. They didn't have any drinks for some reason, but pointed us to the gas station next door, which was easy enough. We had said we were going to sit outside, and as soon as we had ordered and were headed next door for drinks, one of the women came out to clean an already clean table for us. The food came out fast and in huge portions, so I was very glad to accept some foil to take my leftovers home. Not a lot of people know about this place yet, but I'm sure that will change soon if they keep such outstanding service and quality food. read more

The people working their are kind and very friendly. I've been to a lot of Mexican restaurants in the area and I'd say Aztlan ranks near the top! I've been very impressed with the food here so far. Carnitas have been great every time. Tender with crunchy bits of roasted pork. Proper refried beans and a salsa with more spice than most places in town. It is a small hole in the wall kinda place but the food is great. read more

The food here is amazing. It is super fresh and tasty and incredibly cheap. The only complaint I have is that they are closed on Sundays.

Ordered two tortas, one carnita one carne asada, both were very good and not too expensive. The place is tiny so you are lucky to find a place to sit. I like that the place is very clean and the kitchen is open so you can watch them making the food. Worth your money for sure. read more

Best new hole in the wall Mexican in Chico. I needed a good burrito fix, and tried this place based on the reviews. I am so glad I did. Love the pineapple chunks in the pastor burrito! The carne asada was tender, which is an achievement in itself. The portions are huge, and inexpensive. The place is clean, the people are nice. One of the worst burritos I've ever had, and I've had many in many different places around the world. If I wanted a rice and beans burrito, I would have asked for it. My al pastor burrito, came with mostly a bunch of fatty meat, which I had to throw away, lots of rice and some beans. We just found our favorite Mexican joint in town. This little hole in the wall place is not to be missed! The chicken was moist and flavorful. Undoubtably the best chicken adobado I have ever had! Excellent customer service to boot. We got two crispy tacos, one chicken and one beef, and they were amazing. I have never had a crispy taco that was so memorable. This one took the cake. Also, big fan of horchata, and their horchata is very good. Don't deprive yourself of trying this place out. Go before it gets crazy crowded--which is only inevitable of food this caliber. read more
