Let's first start with the positives! The restaurant was almost completely full when we arrived (party of three) and we were seated pretty quickly. Atmosphere was nice and not overdone. The food we received was pretty tasty. We ordered three appetizers: pot stickers, crab and cheese rangoons and the chicken wings. We ordered three main dishes and two of what I would consider side dishes. We also ordered the Wonton Soup as well. We wanted a good selection to try. The main dishes were the peppered beef, yellow curry and orange chicken. Our sides were the chicken chow mein and chicken thai fried rice. Now onto the not so great part of my review....we ordered the appetizers far in advance of our main dinner however our order was completely sporadic with appetizers coming 1/2 way through our meal. They had to ask us if we got everything we ordered, which we hadn't because we were sitting there for at least 30 min waiting for the rest to show up after we had eaten what was brought out. We ended up canceling our orange chicken and yellow curry as it hadn't arrived even after they asked us about it. We asked them to remove it from our order and we paid. Obviously, they are a brand new business BUT they were not prepared for the business they were seating. They only had two people in the front of the house and I would bet only one person cooking based on the serious lag of food coming out. The food ordered should come out together or fairly close to each other, appetizers with appetizers and mains/sides together. There were many tables that sat dirty for quite awhile and water glasses left unfilled. Many tables were politely - awaiting their long overdue food which was the ongoing trend for the evening. We will most definitely try this again maybe 6-12 months from now when they've hired more people to handle timeliness of service. I wish them good luck because the food we did get was very good. read more

This was my 3rd visit. We went with family to celebrate. The Thai tea with the little frozen tea animals were adorable as usual. We had crab rangoons, roti and soft shell crab appetizers. All great but, the soft shell crab was so delicious. The sauces for each were well paired and delicious. I had pad see ew, octopus salad and the orange chicken. Each were delicious but, I will dream of the orange chicken. The breading was delicious and not over fried and starchy but cooked to perfection. The orange sauce was light, not too sweet and so filled with orange flavor served over a bed of vegetables lightly steamed as to life the chicken out of the sauce and keep it from getting soggy. Serves was attentive but not hovering. I can't wait to go back. It's a new favorite. read more

They have only been open since Monday! I'm so glad I stopped here it's delicious and such a chill vibe. Nice music at a low level beautiful scenery playing on TV and people who love to cook! After living in LA and being blessed with the food in Thai town I have high standard! This place does good Thai and has the vibe! Flavor was on point and delicious. Tom Kha soup with chicken Great broth flavor and the veggies were nicely cooked. The presentation with the pot on the awesome fire is such a nice touch! Okay let's talk about the heart shaped rice! the little touches can make a big difference especially if it tastes good! Thai iced tea - yummy yummy! And let me say the frozen bear is so great sitting there all cute!! But he tastes amazing too - I saved him for last and he was a delicious frozen thai tea bear!! Yummy! And Togo we are taking home Mango Sticky rice! Such a beautiful presentation and love that the coconut sauce is in a little cup so that it all stays fresh!! Wow, what's not to say. Re-imagined restaurant location has a wonderful new owner and amazing food! Only open 10 days they are hustling. Lots of take out and plenty of groups dining in. We were a party of four and we definitely made our mark. Pot stickers, chicken satays, crispy tofu, pad Thai, basil chicken, and rice. It took awhile to get our order in, but once we did food arrived with a nice flow. Flavors, portions - all five star. Sauces were amazing, too! The presentation was so beautiful as well! They really pay attention to detail here. The staff were kind and accommodating. Will be back! What I ordered: Fresh Spring Rolls: Amazing. So fresh. The added herbs really bring a lovely flavor. Served with peanut sauce on the side. Chicken Satay: Always a good choice at a Thai Restaurant! The chicken skewers were perfectly savory and cooked in a yummy yellow sauce. The sweet peanut sauce & cucumber dip on the side added the perfect balance. Yellow Curry: Not too rich or too light. Flavors were very balanced. Potatoes could have been cooked a bit more but overall really solid yellow curry. read more

When you first walk in there is a nice open dining area. Very open you can even see the window to the kitchen. Very nice colors kinda a darker kinda ambiance. The workers were very nice, fast service and the food was hot. Checked on at least three times making sure we were good. I got the coconut shrimp as an appetizer and beef pho for the entree bc it was a cold day outside. The shrimp was very good, nice crunch and coconut flavor to it. The beef pho was very pleasant and warm. Tasted really good, probably best in chico based on what I've had. Also got the Thai Tea, and I very much recommend that. VERY DELICIOUS and it even came with a cool like ice bear. Finished off with some mango sticky rice for desert. The rice was very warm and the mango was sweet. Very delicious dish. Huge menu with many choices. Hubby thought it was expensive; I thought it was priced very typical. I tried the Pad Thai, panang curry with chicken and the chicken basil. Me and my sister heard about how good this Thai restaurant is and we had to try it out. We love Thai food and the reviews are definitely spot on! The ambiance is amazing, food is amazing, service is amazing. Might I add, the cute teddy bear ice cubes, the heart imprinted rice put the cherry on top for us. For food we ordered the pad thai, chicken satay, red curry, tom yum soup and mango sticky rice. Presentation of everything was great and so was service. Prices are decent but they did charge for the side of rice as it's not included with the curry. Flavor wise everything was decent, but their pad thai was not to my preference. Ok, so I went here with pretty high expectations. To say I was full let down would be an overstatement so I'll just say I was a bit dissatisfied. The crab Rangoon's were not crisp at all and tasted more like cream cheese with an essence of crab. Now the soft shell crab was delicious and I'd totally get that instead of the crab Rangoons. Very crisp and very yummy. It was my first time trying it and I was very pleased. Now all of the plates are beautiful and lovely but I believe they focused more on plating than actual flavor. The beef pho was just like any other pho and my friend said the chicken was a bit spicy. But nonetheless edible. We got two drinks and the bear ice was a cute which I enjoyed. The service to me was a bit pushy with being checked on every almost 4 minutes or so but I can understand it, they are a newer restaurant. Something that bothered me though was all the women had on a company shirt and the man that was helping us had on a dingy black shirt. The ambiance overall was very nice and had a classy feel to it. Definitely a nice dinner or brunch spot with your girls to catch up and have a drink. Overal 7.5/10 I didn't hate it but there are quite a few improvements to be made! read more

As a guy with Celiac Disease I am very careful where I eat. I ordered the red curry with chicken (Thai spice) with white rice. It was extra spicy. I didn't have any negative GI problems following the meal. The spice level was hotter than other Thai restaurants I've eaten in the past which I enjoyed. Typically they assume less is more and that I can't handle authentic Thai spice. I'd go there again if I lived in the area. read more

I got To-go and my curry's To-go lid wasn't put on properly and it spilled all over inside of the bag getting on everything. Ordered takeout: red curry, pad thai and sticky rice with mango. Red curry and sticky rice with mango were good, however, the pad thai was slightly bland and could use more sauce/flavor. A little surprising that rice was not included with the red curry (the dish is already $18+) and you have to pay extra for a side of rice ($3.50+ depending on what rice you want). As a dish that should be eaten with rice, I could not justify paying extra for it. There was also a scrap of plastic in the red curry, which I initially thought was a piece of tough bamboo shoot while eating. read more

Glad that another good Thai restaurant opened in Chico. Went in with my family and they were able to accommodate my big party. Initially felt a little weird, as in they didn't want to accommodate the big party, even though they only had a few tables. But once we were seated and got our food they were very accommodating. This was my second visit and then crab rangoons are what called me back! They are so delicious, the ratio of stuffing to the pastry outside is delightful. I got the Thai Iced Tea, it came with a cute little bear! I got the chicken cashew nut. All the flavors were delicious. The dipping sauce for the rangoons is so yummy. The service is kind and considerate. When it was busy they let us know it would be a while and it ended up being much faster than I anticipated.
