Chicken & Rice w Lao style papaya salad.
Roberto R.

I went to the farmers market and was looking for a nice quiet place to enjoy lunch, something diff than burgers or tacos, well this place hit the spot, the flavors of the food were amazing and the atmosphere was welcoming, it is a family run business, I felt very welcome, if you are looking to try something new give these folks a a shot, the chicken along w the sauce that comes w it was full of flavor!! Tip the egg rolls are way yummy and their sandwiches are to die for.

Finally I tasted the goodness of PB & Jimmy's in Downtown chico! The hours is a hit miss 11-2 Wed-Saturday so if you miss it sorry‍. So in Hawaii they have manapua and I saw this ad of this place but it's baked kine manapua made from Japanese milk bread! Met the owners very nice ppl customer service and food quality is a plus for this helper. It was literally 10:59am and I'm calling the guy guided me and at 11:10 I'm eating. I had the baked pork bun and a rolled hotdog with a green tea hawaiian sun (Yum). I'm glad I finally made it to try this place out I do recommend this restaurant if your just wanting a quick bite fresh making to your order if your in Chico. They also owners of a Sushi Bar in chico(my next too try cause I love raw fish in sushi.

Sticky rice with crispy pork belly and yummy green dipping sauce

Sometimes when I'm missing home I come here, which can be quite often. I was born in Southeast Vietnam and moved to the states when I was a little over 6 years old. The food is impeccable and reminds me of my late dad's cooking. The green sauce provided with the pork belly is something my sisters could definitely make! I come to PB&Jimmys because of the quality of food and service I receive !! it's amazing to me that there is finally a south East Asian restaurant in Chico! I've been here for the past 5/6 years and I was planning on moving back home after I graduate from Chico state but now I'm not so sure because I absolutely love this place. Make sure to check it out.

Spicy chicken and pork sando with Vietnamese papaya salad.

Wow! The sando sandwiches were absolutely amazing! I am simply impressed, and I already have plans to come back. Can't wait to try other items on their menu.

Sticky rice and pork belly, spicy chicken katsu sandwich and a Hmong sausage.

Fried Potato: very hot and fresh, be careful of hot. Very crispy all around. Good size. Mild on…read moreflavor but neither sauces really help with that imo. Pork belly: good crispiness, good bite sizes, I love the meat to fat ratio. Mild flavor and again neither sauces help. Im not a big fan of crispy pork to begin with tho so yeah. In terms of comparing to others Ive had in the bay area. This is pretty good to average. The main difference is the size which I do prefer this bite size over the cubes in the bay Beef: good beef. Idk how I feel about the bite size for the beef. They kinda went tiny on the sauce but the sauce that comes with is good. And flavor itself is prob best so far. Kinda dry but not dry to the point of being bad, but almost there. Good chew. Chicken: this is prob teriyaki chicken? Dipped in either sauce is pretty good. The chicken needs to be dipped. Chicken itself is alright, same points id give to the other meats and items I tried. Sauce it came with was good. Weird cause one side the chicken looks super shiny and juicy. But the other side is dry, so it balances it out into the middle. Out of everything, everything's been average quality. Crispy pork might be the best quality but Im not a big crispy pork fan so it doesnt make me jump over the moon for it. Extra Was not busy at monday 1pm. But a few people entered after 30 min of me being here. Interior is super beautiful, hoisin sauce and siracha on the side. They got other chili oil and other self serve flavorings on the table and next to the cash register Salt and pepper on the table Self serve Water next to the cash register Menu is awesome Default is takeout, they dont ask They get a lot of calls for delivery. Fridge of celsius, gatorade and other drinks Presentation is fire. Thats why I came here, cause of the food pics online They were able to take my special request of; less char on chicken. And ended up with a good plate with one charred chicken so not bad. Pay before u get food Overall not bad very very average with good presentation. And interesting items like the fried potato (wouldnt get again but glad I tried). Very filling too which is always a plus 1. For that, I'd give it a 4/5

Didn't need any sauce. Good amount of chicken, veggies, and rice. For the price it's hard to beat. 3.5 stars $11 fried instant noodles. It's instant noodles with some veggies, and I think sliced hot dogs. It was overall average. Price isn't to bad.

Our family stopped by after our niece highly recommended it, and we were excited to check it out…read more When we got there, there was a line out the door, which is usually a pretty good sign! The wait wasn't too bad, and once we got to the counter, the staff was super friendly and happy to help. Since it was our first visit, we asked for recommendations. The cashier suggested the Tropical Breeze, and it was fantastic. My husband got the Frosted Chocolate Chai and really enjoyed it too. The drinks were definitely one of the highlights of our visit. I was a little bummed to find out that all of the frosted drinks are dairy-based, and there weren't any dairy-free blended options available. It would be great to see a few alternatives for people with dietary restrictions. I ordered a protein bowl, and it was fresh, filling, and loaded with good ingredients. The chicken was a little dry, but overall it was still very tasty. I'd love to see more dressing options that are both dairy-free and gluten-free. The biggest downside was the parking and seating situation. Parking was a challenge, and the indoor seating area felt pretty crowded. After the lunch rush, there were several tables that still needed to be cleaned, which made it harder for people to find a place to sit. The outdoor patio was nice, but there wasn't a lot of shaded seating. Overall, we had a really nice visit. The food was fresh, the drinks were great, and the staff was welcoming and helpful. It's easy to see why this place is so popular. While I probably wouldn't go out of my way to deal with the parking and limited seating if I lived nearby, I'm glad we stopped in and would recommend giving it a try, especially for the drinks and friendly service.
