It was 100 outside and just humidity and hot inside as well. Very uncomfortable. -Ordered 2 boba milk teas. It was like drinking watered down milk with a slightly toxic weird flavor. It did not taste good. -Ordered 2 shrimp fried rice bowls. The rice was old and seemed like it'd been reheated. (My husband is Filipino. I know what fresh rice and fried rice tastes and looks like. This was NOT) The shrimp had been boiled. Not fried. -Also ordered a thing of the crab wontons. They were very rubbery and stale. Overall it was very disappointing. Will not be eating there on our way back home. Side note: I probably would have gotten a combo but all the food on their food line was dried out and looked like it had been sitting all day. I threw out what I had left. Which from the pic I didn't even eat half.

The place is clean and everybody was friendly. The food is on a cafeteria type line, you just pick out what you want, and then they serve it to you and you take it to your table. I can't speak to the main dishes, themselves, as I just came in for a Boba tea. I did see that they also had wontons on the line, so I also did an order of wontons as a snack. The wontons were wonderfully crispy, and not greasy at all, and they were very generous with the portion. I liked the sweet-and-sour sauce, it was sweet and just a little bit tangy. I had the Matcha milk tea, it was creamy and had a wonderful flavor. It's hard to describe the flavor of Matcha, but I do like it. It was a bit sweet, and just a bit savory. They asked me if I wanted the Boba pearls, which I did because I like them a lot, and they were very generous with them. A milk tea and an order of wontons was only nine bucks. Extremely reasonable. Thank you for a nice stop.

So so good!!

With how busy it was with diners, our…read moreserver still made time to check on us, ask if we wanted soup and rice, and brought us our bill in a timely manner. Watching the cooks hard at work and mastery of Mongolian bbq was like a well-oiled machine. Watching the cooks and seeing staff continuously refill the food, toppings, and sauce containers for customers, while also putting out more bowls and trays, was like watching a flawless production! As for our food, the price of lunch is bang for buck because of how much you can fill your Mongolian BBQ bowl and the soup, rice, and addicting wonton chips with sweet and sour dipping sauce that come with your lunch meal. I gave 4 stars because the garlic and potato soup was super salty. My friends and I agreed this soup would have been perfect if it didn't taste like salt was poured into it. In addition, watching the cross contamination of some diners touching the raw meat in their bowls then touching the next tongs, like for the veggies, was a big health risk concern for me. With this, I keep in mind that I don't even know if this can be prevented due to the way Mongolian BBQ works with customers serving themselves, like a buffet. I understand it would be hard to control and prevent the cross contamination from touching the meat, especially as customers try to make room in their big bowl. In the end, the number of people dining, then seeing more people entering, shows how popular Hula's is!

Doesn't look like much when you walk past, but I was practically dying of hunger so I popped in. The definition of a hole-in-the-wall. I got the regular hamburger and wow.... there are no words. A classic burger done right. Crisp bun, juicy patty, stuffed with all the essentials (ketchup, shredded lettuce, tomato, and pickles). There's about a million options available between the menu board and wall full of specials, so it can get a little overwhelming, but you really can't go wrong. Not much else to say besides go see for yourself! You won't be disappointed. read more

This restaurant has been my family's go to Chinese restaurant since they opened. With Chinese decor, the restaurant is clean and very family friendly. The service is always attentive to special requests with warm smiles, and the food is the best Chinese you can get in the town of Chico (and I'd say better than most places I've been to, in San Francisco!). We eat in and out, and the orders are always right on. My parents love the fish combo, the veggies are fresh, and we all love the Won Ton soup! read more

A fantastic dining experience! From the moment we walked in, the warm, welcoming atmosphere set the stage for a great meal. The staff was knowledgeable about the menu and offered great suggestions. The flavors of the Mongolian BBQ were incredible -- fresh ingredients, tender meat, and a range of sauces that made the dishes truly stand out. The restaurant's interior had a rustic feel, with wooden tables and traditional Mongolian motifs. Highly recommended! read more
