This place was great. We ended up here after it seemed to be the only place that was open. We are from out of town and were headed home. This place is good for vegans, vegetarians, and omnivores alike. All the food was great, most especially the vegetable Mushu with the real Chinese pancakes. The place was really quiet when we came in, there were about four other families in there but nobody seemed to be talking, so we thought our family with two toddlers might be too loud. Our waitress was really nice and even brought our kids fortune cookies while they were waiting. In a nutshell, fantastic food, fantastic service. We will definitely stop here again if we ever come back through town. I've had Chinese food in a lot of major cities from San Francisco to Washington DC, and this is one of the best places I've ever eaten. What we ordered: fried rice, vegetable moo shu, vegetable chow mein, egg drop soup, cream cheese wonton, sweet and sour chicken, beef and broccoli, and chicken chow mein.

Very nice inside

The place is clean and everybody was friendly. The food is on a cafeteria type line, you just pick out what you want, and then they serve it to you and you take it to your table. I can't speak to the main dishes, themselves, as I just came in for a Boba tea. I did see that they also had wontons on the line, so I also did an order of wontons as a snack. The wontons were wonderfully crispy, and not greasy at all, and they were very generous with the portion. I liked the sweet-and-sour sauce, it was sweet and just a little bit tangy. I had the Matcha milk tea, it was creamy and had a wonderful flavor. It's hard to describe the flavor of Matcha, but I do like it. It was a bit sweet, and just a bit savory. They asked me if I wanted the Boba pearls, which I did because I like them a lot, and they were very generous with them. A milk tea and an order of wontons was only nine bucks. Extremely reasonable. Thank you for a nice stop.

The food was terrible and not edible. My daughter ordered a boba drink and she spit it out and we threw it away. Up until this point it was one of our favorite spots but I'll skip it in the future.

The restaurant had a calming ambience and lots of cool artwork on the walls. Their lunch special and lunch combos are both a great deal, so you definitely get some bang for your buck! My partner got the kung pao chicken combo, and I got a happy family tofu with veggie fried rice. The happy family tofu was absolutely delicious, and I loved the way the fried bean curd soaked up the sauce. There were plenty of veggies in the dish like baby corn, snap peas, and bamboo shoots. Our server was friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed getting to chat with her. She was very helpful and attentive. Stop by Wong's the next time you're in Willows!

I ordered the lunch special ( it was to go but I like to see and sample the food first). Thank goodness I did..the soup was oily and chewey and not edible. I gave it back to her with my concerns but she said nothing. The fried rice looked like it had been recooked a few times ..gross! The chicken dish had a few pieces of meat with what looked like expired vegetables! I saw past reviews and should have known better. Never again! Ps..kept some of the food in case I get sick so they can see what I ate. Paid in full and left feeling nauseous.

We ordered the Flying Boat Family Dinner for 2 which comes with ample; fried rice, Mongolian beef (we had it substituted for chicken), orange chicken, won-ton soup, assorted appetizers, and we added a side of chicken chow mien. The food was delicious and freshly prepared to order. The lady was polite and efficient who provided me the food. I would suggest not judging this book by its cover, the place is kind of run down but the food was still very good and so much... we had enough for dinner, and lunch the following day.

I was traveling from Sac and asked my GPS what restaurants were ahead. One of the choices was this Flying Boat Restaurant. GPS said it was a Chinese restaurant, though not a Chineasy name for a restaurant. What the heck, I told the GPS to go there. We got to the place and it's a little scary from the outside, a stand alone building that might not have very good food. We're here , so we go in. Seated at a decent table. It's not really THAT bad inside ... been in worse Mexican restaurant where I thought I really WAS in Mexico! We ordered a couple of the lunch specials, I didn't see anything too exotic on the menu, nor would I expect that here in this little town in the middle of nowhere off the freeway. We got broccoli beef and general chicken lunches. OK, the food was better than I was expecting, decent versions of each. I'd come back here again. Just a place to get something in the tummy and get back on the road again.
