Super Fruit, Mango Sago
Marjo G.

Ordered the +/- Mango Sago. The mango and coconut flavors could have been more forward imo + super fruit. Refreshing! + popcorn chicken. Always a good add on snack to your boba order! Loved the seating and decor of this place! I felt like I was in the Bay Area lol Ordering on the kiosks is super convenient but it was glitching and said out of stock but when I asked the bobaristas, they said I should be able to order the popcorn chicken. A refresh of the page made it available again.

6-23-24 I dropped by Project Tea for a Thai iced Tea with Boba at 3::15. This place is the Bomb!!! Check out the pics. My Thai Iced Tea with Boba was delicious! It was rich and had a nice amount of Boba added. I got a large. Total cost $6.80. They have a large assortment of specialty drinks available. Service is fast and courteous. Project Tea offers street food as well and looks delicious! Also reasonably priced. Project Tea also offers a rewards program and even a gift drink for your birthday. There was a constant flow of customers coming and going, but it remained pleasantly quiet. Customers also ordered on line and came in to pick up their drinks and street food. Project Tea has two cool kiosks to order your speciality drink or street food. Pics are provided with each drink and a description. Thai Iced Tea for example, is the base drink and then you add your ingredients like boba etc. The kiosk is easy to use to place your order and if you have difficulty they are happy to help you place your order. But even better, this place has an incredible atmosphere! The music is very pleasant coming from a quality, rich sounding speaker. The establishment has a real cool, tasteful vibe. Plenty of comfortable chairs/ tables and a comfortable leather couch that can seat up to three easily. There's even an assortment of games to play! Several customers were quietly playing some of the games at the tables. It's definitely a place to chill out and relax with friends or simply alone, like I did! It's very clean and looks brand new. The air conditioning is a welcome reprieve from our Chico heat. Female owned, Project Tea has been in business since 2022. This place is a must to visit! I'll be back again and again! Located at 1008 W Sacramento Ave suite h, Chico, CA 95926

Project Tea was okay. It was very very sweet for me and I did not alter the sweetness at all. I recommend getting less sweet. Service was super friendly and quick. Plus they had a lot of cute games to play. It's a perfect place if you want to just hang out with friends or even do homework!

I love going here! The staff is very friendly, and the inside is a great place to study or play games with friends. The only issues were the sago in the Mango Sago did not taste too great, and the taro in the Ube Taro Slush could have been more flavorful. Definitely coming back here to try some other drinks I saw!

They had limited drink options and I really just wanted a jasmine milk tea, but didn't see that option. I'd love to see the standard boba menu including green and black milk teas, however, the mango sago drink that I got wasn't bad. It was just alright. Tried the popcorn chicken and found the spice flavor to be odd and wasn't a fan of the panko breading. Im from the Bay Area and it just really made me miss the boba and popcorn chicken back in the bay. I don't think I'll be back.

I ordered a milk tea with black boba but the taste is very boring. Taste like sugar and water! Not have tea flavour or milk.

Went there on whim to check it out since I was on that side of town. Cool and simple setup for a tea house and they do have wireless payment on the kiosks where you order yourself. I got the Okinawa Dream and wife got Purple Cloud which is Taro flavored. Taro is a common flavor in Asian style drinks and desserts that is based off purple yams. Both drinks were good! They were out of the brown sugar boba unfortunately, but the crystal ones were fine. I got the Okinawa without boba. A large is $5 without boba, so cheaper than most teas and coffee. Albeit they are the size of a medium drink at a fast food place. Was craving it again the next day and will try it again soon!

Best boba in Chico! I'm originally from the bay, and this is the only boba shop I've found that lives up to that quality.

Rawbar is hands down my favorite sushi spot in Chico and after another visit it still holds the…read morecrown, well not the King of Chico, that's me. They are famous for their Poké bowl, but we only did sushi this time (my willpower deserves recognition).. The edamame was excellent and their miso soup is still one of my favorites anywhere. It just tastes different... richer and more intentional than the usual versions. I'm a huge saba fan and theirs was exactly why I keep coming back... clean, fresh and done right. My kid had the tataki and it was the same story there, super fresh and gone in about thirty seconds. We also had the Gilroy (yum) Japanese Cowboy, Red Dragon, Hibachi Sunset and Lotus Cobra. The Lotus Cobra is one of those rolls you order once and then it just becomes part of your future. The ambiance is probably my favorite in Chico. It's one of those places where you can have a great meal and some top tier people watching at the same time. Service is always solid, friendly without being fake, and everything from the dining area to the bathrooms is consistently clean. I'll just say it... I wish we had a place like this back on the Mendocino Coast. Until then, this is always going to be my Chico sushi stop. If you like fresh fish, good energy and a place that just feels dialed in, Rawbar is hard to beat.

A trip back to Chico gave me just a few hours in town, and the one place I absolutely had to visit…read morewas Raw Bar--and I'm so glad I did. I've been craving the oyster hot shots and Shaka tuna for yeeeears. I've even tried recreating those hot shots at home more times than I'd like to admit, and I still can't crack whatever magic they're doing back there. Now onto the new stuff. We ordered the special dry-aged nigiri sampler, and my mom couldn't stop talking about how much it reminded her of the way fish and sushi are treated in Japan. Thoughtful, balanced, and intentional. It was such a refreshing break from the AYCE-style spots where the fish-to-rice ratios can feel quite careless. Almost forgot! Our server was amazing. Gah I forgot his name. So professional and knowledgeable about everrrrrything. We were super comfortable in the new lounge area, which I would say is much cozier and dare I say sexier than the old motif which was kinda industrial. If they ever open a location in Los Angeles (hint, hint), I'd be first in line.

I reeeeeally wanted to like this place and after many attempts to eat here (and finding them…read moreclosed), I FINALLY discovered them open during the Downtown Christmas Preview. I was beyond excited to try the spicy katsu chicken sando (I literally attempted eating here for 2 months but kept missing their open hours. They are VERY limited). The pricing I was charged was a bit more than what was on their menu, which I hadn't noticed until after the fact. :-/ When the sandwich arrived it was not at all what expected. I looked up the sandwich months ago and it appeared to be a juicy chicken breast between sliced cabbage on thick, fluffy bread. What I got was some beat up, flattened GREEEEEEASY gummy chicken that wasn't the least bit appetizing. It reminded me of frog legs and I was pretty much grossed out after the 2nd bite. The bread was exactly the same as Astesano Bakery Bread and didn't seem "home made" as their menu states. Maybe it is, maybe it isn't (home made) but it sure seemed like the same bread I buy at Safeway. Needless to say I was BEYOND bummed out. I guess that's partially my fault though, I mean... I saw a picture they used to have posted on their menu (it's no longer there) and had expectations that it was going to be exactly the same, which it most certainly was NOT. If I could sum it up in 2 words: Gummy & Greasy. Yuck. The best part was the cabbage so, that's what I ate and ditched the rest of the "sandwich" to the trash. So yeah, $13 + tip for some cabbage. Awesome. With that said, I don't recommend this place for the Sando's but! I may return for the egg rolls. They look good in the pictures however since I got 100% duped this time around, I think I'll ask if anybody I personally know has tried the egg rolls first before I spend any more money here. I do like their outdoor dining and if they could move the ginormous trash bins away from the outside dining tables it would be a great place to dine (who wants to eat next to trash cans??) I'll end on a positive note and say, I did like that they have an option of indoor or outdoor dining, if they move the trash cans, that would be my preferred place to eat.

Today I just tried the Hmong sausage and Thai tea. The lady working was sweet and let me sample the tea to test its sweetness. I think it's spot-on. The sausage is perfectly juicy, spicy and savory. It's rich, flavorful, and reminds me of the holidays.
