Price was fantastic, I got a carne asada burrito and a side of rice and beans for like $13 but it was also the driest rice I have ever gotten from a mexican restaurant. Carne asada had great flavor though, would recommend the burritos

Potato breakfast burrito, all for the price of a meat breakfast burrito!

They need a vegetarian breakfast burrito option. I just asked if I could have guacamole and sour cream as a replacement for the meat and was told no. So I'm paying for meat that I'm not eating, and $2+ for guac and sour cream. Not only that, this burrito is straight up ALL POTATOES. I don't even think there are actually eggs in here? I've been getting breakfast burritos from here for years and I used to be able to at least tell that there are eggs. I swear they only used one, if not less. There are so many potatoes in here that it's like I'm eating an entire potato. Definitely skimping on the beans too. Edit: aside from these 80% potato breakfast burritos this place is so great and they get 5 stars from me!

I just moved here recently from the bay and been looking for a good place to get a breakfast burrito. This was sooo good. Only $10 plus I added sour cream delicioso

Pros: - The grilled tacos - Very friendly and attentive employees - Fast service - Large portion sizes - Food is noticeably "homemade" - Large menu - Easy street parking Cons: - Closes early on Sundays - Fee for using a card to pay I recently tried Aztlan and wish I had done so sooner. Don't let the location and small building dissuade you. There is easy parking right next to the restaurant on E. 17th St. Employees are always attentive and friendly. The grilled tacos are large and amazing. The combo meals provide large portion sizes. Their chicken is top notch. Huge quesadillas. Prices are higher than a taco truck but I think the quality and portion sizes justify it. Give this place a try, you won't regret it.

1 fish taco y 2 asada tacos

Came here today for the first time after moving to Chico a week ago. From Watsonville, so my standards are pretty crazy in regards to Mexican Food. Small spot with a few tables outside to eat in the sunshine. Also, they share their parking lot with a gas station. I noticed one guy pulled up at a pump, walked over and ordered, and then paid for his gas. By doing this, his food was ready when he was fueled up, so I tipped my hat to this smooth operator. Got 1 fish taco and 2 asada tacos. The fish taco was pretty good. Little heavy on the sauce, but I would definitely order again. Liked the batter on the fish, different from the norm and more Baja style. The asada tacos weren't super flavorful and were kinda forgettable. Not bad, but didn't blow my mind either. Considering this is less than 2 miles from my house, I will definitely be going back for fish tacos and to try some other things on the menu. While I get gas. And buy beer. One stop shopping at its finest!

Great, affordable food. A real treat for our family. We get the grilled shrimp tacos n it's a meal in itself. Enjoy.

Entrance, nice colors.

It looks dicey because it looks like it's part of a gas station but the burritos are fat and the price is good.

It was a sendoff worthy of mariachi music and a frozen margarita toast. Let's start with the food: fire-grilled shrimp sizzling over peppers and onions, the kind of skillet that turns heads when it hits the table. The birria tacos were rich, cheesy, and golden-seared to perfection, with a deeply savory consommé for dipping every bite a messy, magnificent win. The combo plates brought it all together: classic rice and beans, fresh pico, guac, sour cream, and cheese so generous it should've paid rent. The place is full of charm, too. Walking through the doors is like stepping into a vibrant fiesta bright papel picado overhead, carved wooden benches, tiled floors that feel like abuela's house, and cheerful service that made us feel like family. I especially loved the colorful little photo-op corner by the entrance perfect for capturing the last California memory before heading east. It's not fancy. It's real. The kind of restaurant where flavors speak louder than trends, and you leave with a full belly and a bigger smile. Whether you're rolling through Chico or you're lucky enough to call it home, La Fiesta deserves a spot on your regular rotation. And if you're heading out of town like I was, this is the kind of farewell feast that sticks with you right next to the taste of lime and roasted onion. #LaFiestaChico #BirriaTacos #SizzlingShrimp #ChicoEats #ItsTheLittleThings #ThePuddingCreekTrestle #FoodieFuel #GuacAndRoll #TacoJoy #FlavorTrip

Well Mas Amor was amazing - meat is tender and flavorful and the consume is tasty and has some good flavor! Order the BIRRIA!! I should have asked for extra cilantro and onion but we had a wonderful lunch! The decor is so cute and the lighting is calming and nice. Love the artwork super creative and beautiful pieces! The marigold garland on the ceiling is a nice touch and the music videos were on point. It felt like we had gone on a journey and left Chico! I had the Birria Quesadilla with consume and mom had Birria nachos! Neither disappointed for sure. The meat is so tender and flavorful and added a nice touch to the nachos! I was surprised my mom even ordered Birria but she was happy she did. We didn't order chips and was happy we didn't because between the nachos and Birria quesadilla it was the perfect amount of food. Washed it down with a Modelo and couldn't have been happier! Makes me want to go back for the Birria Ramen!! The salsa was served in the cutest little clay containers on a beautiful clay heart plate. The dishes were great and so was the food - I highly recommend trying them out I'm sure the rest of the food is good too! Can't wait to try more from the menu. what a pleasant, informal, "sit down" Mexican joint! family owned and operated, very homey dining…read morearea with lots of wood and art work on the walls... the tortilla chips were hard and warm and the salsa was chunky yet rojo saucy. for my maiden voyage I did my standard "go to" order -- al pastor taco plate. the pastor was well seasoned and definitely restaurant style; not greasy like from a taco truck. the refried beans were creamy and the rice was on point. a normal plate comes with three tacos and rice and beans (whole or refried), so I smashed a full basket of chips, two tacos and a few bites of rice and beans and took the rest home... and then ate that an hour later, no microwave necessary! very liberal on the portions. the ladies that waited on me (could've been sisters, cousins, mother and daughter, who knows and who cares) were very pleasant and said I made a good choice picking the pastor for my first dish, and then convinced me to come back later for their molcajete, which I hear they are known for. and for those of you who like beer? they have Modelo and Pacifico on tap as well as good ol' Sierra Nevada Hazy (and they have a full bar, too -- margarita anyone?). can't wait to try a chimichanga, camerones à la diabla and that molcajete when I make return visits down the road... We found it by accident and were impressed by the menu, but the food was just not good. We ordered the shrimp ceviche plate ($19.99), chile relleno/chicken enchilada plate ($18.50), and fish ceviche tostada ($7.50). The ceviche was basically a pico de gallo, lacked flavor and salt/spice, and the shrimp appeared and tasted to have been canned- tiny and scarce- really couldn't tell there were any shrimp at all. Didn't realize it would be so watery, so if you choose to try the ceviche tostada, you might wanna get to the tostada shell before it gets soggy. The enchilada sauce lacked flavor and the cheese was grainy and mushy; the chile relleno- the chile was soggy, flavorless, and not at all firm, and the cheese quickly seized up like a thick glue and was also flavorless. They have a chips and salsa bar where you serve yourself. Unfortunately, the chips had no salt; the salsa options were decently flavored. The jalapenos had flavor. Customers pay when they order at the counter and I was charged a $.75 "No Cash Fee" for using my credit card (probably standard, yeah?). Like most places these days, the lowest tip option is 15%, which I selected to give the benefit of doubt. Lastly, I had to wipe the bench before sitting, and the chair back was sticky when I pulled it out to sit down. This was probably the worst almost-$60 I've ever spent on food that looked so promising. And as I said, I really don't enjoy giving poor reviews, but maybe this will help someone make a decision.
