So I'm paying for meat that I'm not eating, and $2+ for guac and sour cream. Not only that, this burrito is straight up ALL POTATOES. I don't even think there are actually eggs in here? I've been getting breakfast burritos from here for years and I used to be able to at least tell that there are eggs. I swear they only used one, if not less. Was visiting friends in Chico this weekend From Stockton. We have some real good Taco Trucks and Mexican Restaurants in Stockton like El Mayita and Tacos Chapala so I have high standards. The place is small but clean. Service was friendly and quick. Got an Al Pastor California Burrito $9.99. size was average for burritos more then enough to fill you up or eat half and finish later. It was the best burrito I've ever had. Flavor was out of this world!! The ratio of everything was spot on. the heat is light but there. Meat wasn't super salty like a lot of places. Whatever sauce they put in there I want a bottle of. The fries give the burrito another level of texture. The cilantro and onion in there taste fresh. Just an amazing burrito for a great price. Came here today for the first time after moving to Chico a week ago. From Watsonville, so my standards are pretty crazy in regards to Mexican Food. Small spot with a few tables outside to eat in the sunshine. Also, they share their parking lot with a gas station. I noticed one guy pulled up at a pump, walked over and ordered, and then paid for his gas. By doing this, his food was ready when he was fueled up, so I tipped my hat to this smooth operator. Got 1 fish taco and 2 asada tacos. The fish taco was pretty good. Little heavy on the sauce, but I would definitely order again. Liked the batter on the fish, different from the norm and more Baja style. The asada tacos weren't super flavorful and were kinda forgettable. Not bad, but didn't blow my mind either. Considering this is less than 2 miles from my house, I will definitely be going back for fish tacos and to try some other things on the menu. While I get gas. And buy beer. First off, the enchilaldas had no enchilada sauce, very dry, salty and they did not use the correct melting cheese, the meat was cut into small cubes and was very dry and salty! Big Burritos (little donkeys translated), that's for sure. Bought 2: Carne Asada and Shrimp Burritos. Carne Asada a little high in salt, like the shaker did it's own shaking and precipitated more granules of salt than it should have been used. Plenty of rice to accompany the meat, which by the way, is a well known business strategy with in the burrito world. Adds bulk, satiates hunger, etc. The meat, otherwise looked average. The eater, well known complainer when less than ideal, only ate half. I refused the other half being I was full. 2.5 Stars. The Shrimp one was also loaded with rice, but it's redeeming grace were the chunky shrimp, a little more generous number that merit recognition. Enough to fill most tanks, but not a work of culinary art with plenty of diced onions in the mix. 3.5 Stars. A free Carne Asada Street Taco loaded with meat, onions and cilantro. 3.5 Stars. I seriously doubt the greatness allocated to the establishment, but agreed wholeheartedly in the generous amounts dispensed, but a big burrito is not necessarily a great one. No salsa offered, nor given, chip chip. Place empty at 7:10 PM. Total: $20.15. 3 Stars. read more

I think the very best places are the ones that can do the basics perfectly, and an Aztlan Bean & Cheese Burrito puts them right at the top. So many places have bland and flavorless refried beans, but these are perfect. Seasoned and rich, without being thick and pasty. Lots of cheese, all rolled up in a super soft flour tortilla. It was huge, almost too much for one sitting, and the price was ridiculously cheap for great quality food. I wish they had basic cheese enchiladas with red sauce, but they do not. Aztlan is tiny and there are flies everywhere. I hope they do a good job of keeping everything covered but they don't. So beware when eating here. Me personally I can ignore the flies every so often when I visit this gem. Their quality of the most simplest menu item, the carne asada burrito is perfect. It's huge as hell. The ingredients are fresh. And it only cost $5.50. They don't offer lettuce or fake sour cream as extra fillers. Just the usual meat, onion, cilantro, salsa and cheese. And they don't even charge for extra salsa. My favorite is the red chile. I will return here for the carne asada and chicken tacos and burritos any time. I can't say the same for anything else as I haven't tried anything else yet. But the carne asada and chicken burritos and tacos are definitely worth my money. read more

This place is super tiny, right next to a gas station. Inside there are a few benches to sit on while you're waiting for your order and there are a few tables outside. I got two tacos al pastor, one carne asada, and a large horchata. One of the tacos was free for checking in and spending $5. Total cost came to $6.80. The tacos were delicious and the tortillas were the perfect texture. I did like the carne asada taco a little more than the al pastor, but they were both good.
