You can pull up, order some tacos, grab some liquid libations, and come back through and pick up said tacos. This is basically the best combo ever. Their food is very inexpensive and tax is included in the price! Tacos are $1.25, Tortas are $5-6, and everything feels very reasonably priced, so hit them with a tip. The food is not the absolute best Mexican food I have ever had, but I see people charging twice as much for worse quality all the time. The why as to the lavishing praises I will never know. Did I miss something that makes all the difference between an average taco and a great one? I never been one to dislike positive reviews, but this Crazy Taco being a great quality food for a bargain price I disagree entirely. Edible? Certainly! Above average, best carnitas or carne asada, that is a long way from being so. $1.50 per mini taco is a fair offer, but the meats were diced so small, covered with average salsa, what exactly makes them great? Bought 8 tacos for $12. Carne Asada, Pastor, Chicken, Carnitas. Funny enough, my female companion who is always complaining, liked them very much. I had better of each meat, but must congratulate their set up, and completely sure the flow of clientele will not suffer not even a hiccup, for these little tacos. 3 Stars. $5 Quesadilla with Carnitas and Chicken. Yes, they were nice to accommodate both. Basically a medium size flour tortilla folded in half, as for the quesadilla part, the cheese flew back to Holland for the weekend, because this one had almost zero. I don't think it left a long lasting impression, and $5 is such an accessible bill. I seen that approach, where they skip the most important part of an item named after cheese, but it happens in even so called reputable franchises, that suck even worst. 3 Stars. Yet reviewers in Chico embrace this hole in the wall as a rare temple of excellence. Did I miss something? Probably the whole show is what I'm thinking . Don't underestimate it because it's in a liquor store this place has some pretty bomb ass tacos for $1.25 which is awesome and these taste hella good definitely recommend it!! Longgg overdue for a review of this place - I've been coming here for 12 years but only since moving back 4 years ago have paid that close attention to the food. The friendly service and proximity make me want to give it 5 stars but the often cold/questionable carne asada averages out to a generous 4 stars. I've considered leaving a 3 star review before when I've waited like 15 mins for my (usually super bomb) quesadilla. Haven't had that problem in awhile! The chicken is usually dry - get the grilled instead. And I still need to try their breakfast burritos! The quesadillas and the prices, though... def worth it! Prices are great! Ordered Street tacos. BEEF AND PORK... The meat was tough on Carna Asada. Lacked flavor itself... the Carnitas was mediocre. the sauce was "okay" but definitely not top of my list? The kids burrito was definitely large, not complaining... but again, most of the taste was the sauce which wasn't impressive. Ordered chips and salsa and guacamole. The guacamole was runny and unauthentic, no real flavor except lime... it's like a lot of lime juice and half and avocado blended to liquid form. For a quick and easy and cheap meal, this is a place to go. This is located in a liquor store but they have a window facing the parking lot. So you can put in your order and get your food quickly. And if you want a drink, just go inside the liquor store. I got three tacos - chicken, beef and pork. They are topped with cilantro and onions and salsa. My favorite was the pork. Super tasty meat and I was satisfied for the time being. And all of that for less than $5. There's no seating at this location though. So I had to devour it in my car. read more

This place has delicious burrito bowls! I love their rice which is something because I usually ask for no rice...I'm so glad I tried it! This place is attached to Dukes cork 'n' bottle on Park ave. They do not have tables or an indoor waiting area. You can call your order in to pick up if you do not want to wait outside. They are usually very fast, every time I've called my order in it's been ready in about 10 mins or less. read more

We have been wanting to try this place for a long time. It's a little intimidating from the outside I mean it is a liquor store. But I kept reading the reviews and they were fabulous so ordered out front cash only luckily I knew this. Thank you Yelp reviewers. We ordered 2 pork Taco Supremes and a pork burrito supreme which they kindly cut in half. More than enough food for two people. My excuse is I wasn't sure. $10 total and I thought they deserved a tip so make that 11 dollars total. Took one bite of the burrito supreme delicious. Took one bite of the pork Taco it's a soft shell, delicious! So they also included limes and jalapenos. I will definitely go back and if you need a beer to go with your lunch there's a conveniently located liquor store through the door LOL. BEST PLACE TO EAT IN CHICO! If you are are worried about the window, they you probably will miss out on the best deals of all time. I suggest everyone on the menu. With dollar real tacos you can't go wrong. The location might make you a tad nervous, but don't' let that fool you. The homeless shelter next door adds to the fun of the window. This is the business. Walk-up window in the side of a liquor store. Hands down the best carnitas in all of Chico. I suggest 5 carnitas tacos or the Carnitas Super Crazy Burrito. I have a certain way I order the Crazy Burrito: NO RICE!, NO LETTUCE! NO ONION! - Rice and lettuce have no place in a burrito. Rice is cheap filler that folks in NorCal seem to think is normal, and warm lettuce is just nasty. The onion omission is only because it clashes with the flavor party in this case. We found this place on a random late night taco search. Don't let the location deter you; the tacos are great and you can mosey into the store to grab a drink while waiting for your food. Awesome taco place. We come here often after two of my kids are done with school and we're waiting for my high schooler to get out. It's kind of a hole in the wall, in between a liquor store (nicest guy ever that owns that place by the way, so go buy some water or Gatorade to go with your burrito!!!) So yeah, it's built into the wall of a liquor store and it's near the Jesus Center, so many people may be turned off from that but coming from SF, I happen to know that that's where you'll often find the best food and in this case it's definitely true. First I'd like to state that as someone who is visiting from San Diego, my taste buds have certainly had their fair share of excellent mexican cuisine. From fast and cheap, to authentic. Finally giving into temptation, I decided to take a peek at this place here on yelp. All excellent reviews. However, being the last was posted back in February of this year, I decided to still give this 'hole in the wall' a chance, despite some apprehension. The people were friendly and the food was made to order extremely fast. I dived in head first and decided to try a carne asada burrito(w/o rice or beans) and a couple carnitas taco's, as well as ordering a veggie burrito for a family member. For the price, cheap to say the least, this place surely gives you your moneys worth. For the taste, unfortunately, I wasn't impressed. The taco's were superior to the burrito, but that isn't saying much, as I found the carnitas to be under whelming flavor wise. The carne asada within the burrito itself was tough and chewy, although the actual flavor of the beef itself was decent. Would I go out of my way to return here again? No, I would not. But if this was the only available place within sight and I was literally dying of starvation with a couple of bucks in my pocket, then I'd surely make due. read more
