Highly recommended! I usually come here for the Super Breakfast Burrito or Super Burrito with carnitas and it's so good with their avocado salsa and jalapeño crema! There is a free salsa bar and their chips (not free) always come out fresh so go crazy on it. Their carne asada is fantastic too, by the way. I'm just really partial to the carnitas but you can't go wrong. read more

This review is for a Door Dash order, so I have no comments about ambience or service, but damn, this is good food! I ordered a little this and that, testing out the menu. I can't get past the Carne Asada Fries. There is SO MUCH carne in this, I'm losing my mind. The meat is tasty, the portions are great (I ate less than half) and I'm a happy camper. Food is good. My boyfriend found this place when we first moved to Chico and it's been our go-to place for Mexican food since it is around the corner for our place.. My boyfriend has a particular taste for Mexican food and he bases the restaurant on their carne asada and their tacos and- Raliberto's passed.! He loves their tacos and their crispy tacos. The meat is always very flavorful and delicious. I normally get the soups, which is great because they serve pozole, menudo, and their beef soups daily ! It all tastes sooo good with a fresh squeeze of lime ! Yummm . I like that they have a self-serve sauce station, so you can grab as much as you want. Their red and green salsa is soo good too! Definitely recommend putting it in their soups as well. Service is always quick, easy, and friendly! The lady who is there most of the time is always so nice. There are a lot of tables in the restaurant so it's big enough to hold lots of people. The restaurant is clean and open.! I highly recommend this place. It is really good.!! However it is pricey $$$ - each time we go for tacos and soup, the bill already hits 55-60$ We used to go here a lot, but it's getting more expensive, so now we go every once in a while .. still highly recommend tho.! read more

Gave this place a great review a year ago but it's gone way down since then and I'm guessing the kids took over the business since I no longer see the mother behind the counter. Not a fan of street tacos unless from a street fair but even when I order a regular full size taco it rarely comes that way. I get a tiny street taco tortilla with a little meat...boring. What happened to regular size tortilla for tacos? Hey I can make a street tacos at home for the cheap. I'm guessing, they prefer serving street tacos because they are cheaper to make and bring in more cash but I can only guess why it's so hard to get a regular size tortilla for tacos. read more

Tonight was our second time here for burritos! Our first trip was last week when we were craving breakfast burritos and heard they served them all day. We got the bacon & potato breakfast burrito, added guac, and the green salsa on the side and they were BOMB! Cheesy, a good amount of bacon, not too much potato, and the guac made it perfectly moist. Today we stopped in for dinner, and my fiancé got the same thing. I had a chicken fajita burrito with beans, rice, and guac and it was good! Their burritos are the largest burritos I've really ever seen, and I appreciate that although we added/substituted things, they got our order right each time. My chicken was a bit salty, but I'm sensitive to salt so it wasn't too bad. We will definitely be back for more! read more

Hungry? Looking for large portions? Look no further. Chico, like most other California cities, is full of Mexican restaurants - especially take-out style spots. Raliberto's is near my house and I drive past it almost daily, although its strip mall is pretty hidden from the road. It's in a central location near a busy intersection, but you'll miss it if you blink. The venue can either be accessed by a small driveway on northbound Forest Avenue or by taking a turn out of the Old Navy parking lot. I had to do a u-turn to access it as I was traveling south on Forest. The restaurant is clean with bright colors and a large sign. There is limited indoor and outdoor seating. When I dined here on a Saturday evening, there was only one other patron in here although I did notice a few stopping in to pick up their phoned orders. The prices are average for the area, maybe a little on the higher side. I ordered a burrito and it was positively large. While it tasted a little different than burritos I was accustomed to (they were liberal with their use of peppers), it still had a nice flavor. I enjoyed it on the patio with a cup of salsa verde and a few of their AMAZING marinated carrots which can be found at the salsa bar. Good spot overall. I'd come back. read more

Not a bad Mexican restaurant. Average Mexican food at slightly above average prices. Chico has so many wonderful Mexican restaurants to choose from and Ralibertos is fine ... however just not great. The printed credit card receipt shows their address in Crescent City so I looked online and see there are a number of Raliberto's Taco Shops as in Anderson, Redding, Eureka, Crescent City and Weaverville so it's definitely not local. read more

Both foods were quite large in size. The lady at the front was really nice. I got the Super Burrito W/ Chicken. Although it didn't really have too much flavor. The quesadilla was quite heavy with the cheese and that's all I tasted. They put rice in it which is interesting. I know I got the right order. Perhaps the other items on the menu will have more flavor. Look forward to coming back to try new things! read more

Good size serving for 10 bucks but the burrito was gross. Lettuce was soggy, beans had no flavor. It had a shot but just didn't meet the mark. Chips were nice and fresh though, and salsa was good. Saw one worker without a mask, answer was "we are all family and wear if we need to work in close quarters", I don't know what the rules are exactly but this seems like absolutely bare minimum. read more

New mexican spot tucked away in Pheasant Run Plaza. This place is located next to the mattress store. Service: Not always the best service as they always tend to stare me down without a greeting and wait for me to say something. Food: They are some pretty good tacos, but I have to admit that their prices do not reflect their quality. Carne Asada Tacos - I like their street tacos as they simple and delicious. Carne Asada Fries - I wish their fries could be crispy or well done. But their toppings aren't too bad. Taquitos - I think my favorite thing here is their taquitos. They top it off with some sauces that put it all together. Not sure what the sauce is (some kind of green and red sauce) but it makes it super yummy while still being crispy. Overall: Their food is not bad, but they are pretty pricey. For good cheap mexican food, I prefer Gordos. read more

Brought 20 wildland firefighters here and they wanted more the next night. Staff is incredibly friendly, large portions, and food was amazing. Definitely balled out on the budget, too! They have a whole salsa bar you can serve yourself as you wish, and as much as you want. The green Chile salsa was amazing. Want good Mexican food in Chico? Please go here! And please, please disregard the hateful opinions of this place... the biggest white supremacy center in the country, Odin Hof, is nearby and clearly those racists are the ones leaving poor reviews. I've been waiting for this place to open for awhile now and it did not disappoint!!! I'm originally from San Diego, where Taco shops are a way of life down there. Since moving to Chico, I've struggled to find a good taco shop. I knew after I asked "how do you make a carne asada burrito?" and they replied "carne asada, guacamole, and Pico Salsa" I knew I was home! Beans and rice in a burrito is not a thing in SoCal!! Driven by dozens of times going to other businesses on that corner, but never stopped until today. Ordered the chile relleno plate because if they can do that well the rest of the food is probably good too. They were pretty good! Better than average, but not the best I've ever had. I haven't gone to Ralibertos in almost a year. The taste and quality of the food hasn't changed, however the portion size has. The breakfast burritos are half the size and cost the same. I understand it's hard for everyone with the economy right now, but super disappointing. I'd probably pay a little more for the old breakfast burritos. read more

Good Mexican food for take out or eat in. The woman taking orders I would guess is the owner but if not she would be an asset in customer service anywhere she worked with the public. Went for the pizza place that used to be here but found a new taco shop that is really really good. Everything is fully loaded and fresh. Fresh salsa, made from the restaurant's own unique recipe is what gives each tacqueria its individual character. Think Aca Taco or The Taco Truck with their amazing salsas. Sadly, NOTHING like that at Raliberto's. Also, no onions, no chile, not even a hint of cumin. It was all amazingly flavorless. My work ordered some breakfast burritos from here the other day and MAN were they huge! Sometimes getting a burrito for breakfast may not live up to the expectation of a burrito for lunch but they did not disappoint. I had Chorizo for mine and it was delicious. The flavor wasn't super crazy but sometimes that's a good thing early in the morning. The meat wasn't spicy and I thought this burrito may be one that you could cut in half and save some for later. AMAZING food! No joke. My favorite Mexican food joint in Chico and super sweet people running it! They're very generous with their meat portions, and very filling and flavorful for the price! I heavily recommend their Super Nachos (get the carnitas!), their Super Breakfast Burrito (the best I've had!), and their Super Burrito. Their carnitas I think is the best meat, and the food is huge and easily shareable. They also have a salsa bar and pickled jalapeños so you can grab as much as you want. read more

First time checking out the Taco shop, I'm working from out of town and the reviews lead me there. People said the service was exceptional but my guy who rang me up was just ok. I ordered a Bay Area special, simplistic Carne Asada Super Burrito With everything. Prices were kinda up there for what I got in return. I also added two ground beef tacos which were so greasy. Back to the burrito, if I'm paying nearly 15 bucks for a super burrito I expect it to kinda be big, mine was not. Waited about 10 minutes and drove to my hotel. Pulled out the bag and average size burrito with barely any cheese, lettuce , sour cream or meat!! So ok maybe the taste will make up for what I'm feeling. And that's a no!! Asada was extremely salty, so I drowned it in green salsa. The salsa bar was dirty and looked like it had not been unattended to all day. Overall I will never be back to the Taco shop. Having just discovered this place after working in Chico for 6 years is an injustice, but I'm glad I found them! Ordered a California burrito, a chicken crispy taco and a carnitas taco and all 3 were amazingly fresh and delicious. The carnitas meat was crunchy and had excellent smoked flavor. The chicken taco was a little bit spicy but still really tasty. This is our second time of trying this restaurant and we can't wait to go back!
