Incredible experience! The place looks a lot larger once you go inside. My wife and I ordered their patatas bravas, jamon iberico, and queso manchego as starters and they also provided some olives. I loved them all, particularly the manchego which they garnished with pecans and raisins. For my entree, I got the paella senorito. It was delicious and I loved how they cooked the rice. For dessert, my wife and I shared a crema catalana. They had burnt the sugar well and the ratio of sugar to the cream underneath was perfect. For drinks, I got an aperol spritz and a vermouth negro. I was a huge fan of both. Portion sizes were pretty generous and the service was quick and attentive. Great place to check out if you're in the Gothic quarter! read more

Another amazing and romantic meal. This restaurant starts at an alley and offers outdoor seating along the narrow alley, but also has indoor seating with dual stall restrooms each with their own sink. It's an Italian restaurant but serves paella. The Iberian Ham was so fresh and full of flavor, as was the manchego cheese. But the best part of the meal was the 40 day aged 8 ounce bone-in Black Angus steak with a side of fries. Both were perfect as served with no need for anything added, not salt, sauce, or ketchup. And to end the meal, the Catalan Cream, which is the areas version of Cream Brulee. We hope to come back for another memorable meal. read more

This place is consistently good. They have a great menu del dia. Which is their menu if the day, it has a starter, and entree, a dessert, bread, a drink and a dresser all for a very reasonable price. Today I got the pasta with fungi sauce but they also have carbonara and different sauces, it was cooked perfectly and seasoned wonderfully. As a main dish I got the bacalou (cod) fried with some honey or alioli. It came with fries. Though next time I'll probably get vegetables as the fish was fried. Served hot and fresh with a nice, elegant wine that I thoroughly enjoyed. My waiter Naeem was helpful, friendly and attentive! The dessert was a crema catalana which is so good. Go down the alley and have the paella. The service here is amazing, the manager was running around making sure things were just so. We had the black rice seafood paella, pasta, and a few cocktails. We found this place walking down a random alley near Los Rambles. There's no outdoor seating so we sat inside. We got a liter of sangria to share for only 22 euros. They have everything on the menu from burgers to pizza to traditional tapas and paella. I wanted to eat the Spanish food since we were in Spain and glad we tried a few tapas and seafood paella. The seafood paella had a mix of prawns, clams, and mussels. The rice was seasoned well and had a good texture. Service was also great. I randomly chose this place for dinner to try out their paella. Located in an alley, it's located off the main road so it's not as crowded. Salmon salad - delicious salad, quite refreshing with mangoes. Padron peppers - a lot more spicier peppers provided compared to another restaurant we tried them at. Restaurant and art gallery together leads to a bohemian ambience. Located down a small alley, this restaurant was warm and inviting. The service was a little slow but that was alright for us. We enjoyed the music, the artwork and the atmosphere. The paella was very good, in particular the seafood noodle paella which we never had before but apparently is native to this part of Spain. I made a reservation on their website the day prior. Not sure if it was necessary, but all the tables were taken so glad that I planned in advance. read more

Came here on a whim and wow were we surprised with how much we actually enjoyed the meal. This is one of the restaurants where they have the hosts outside trying to persuade people to come in. We didn't know where to go and we were really hungry. So while walking around we decided wtheck, let's just give this place a try. To be honest we thought this place was sketchy because the host had to walk us down this alley way into the restaurant which was hidden. Now I can see why they have to have a host outside because there was no way people would be able to see the restaurant ! It was also really empty inside. This place is located in the Barri Gotic. Hubby and I were wandering around checking out the sites when I noticed the street sign "Avinyo 10." The restaurant is literally located steps from the sign. There is outdoor seating as well as indoor. It was a lovely night so we decided to dine outside. The staff here are super friendly. A big shout out to Ali for his over the top service. You made us feel at home. Your mastery of English and Spanish is totally impressive. The food here is simply amazing. I ordered the seafood Paella and hubby ordered a pizza. I've tasted paella from the Basque Country to Barcelona, and it has all been delicious, but I have to say that the best paella was here at Avinyo 10. Hubby's pizza was pretty darn good too. We ate here at the recommendation of a friend. I ordered lobster paella and they brought me a mixed seafood (mussels and prawns) paella. Then they tried to convince me that it was lobster! Finally the waiter returned and asked if I was keeping it! "You change?" Yes. I change! I would like lobster paella. When they finally brought me the lobster paella, it had about two bites of lobster in it. To top it off they offered the table next to us a limoncello on the house to conclude their meal.
