    Garden veggie tapas
    PT S.

Hands down - the best tapas we've had in the past two weeks. Every dish was an explosion of new and yummy flavors. An ongoing panoply of textures.. Each cooked to perfection. Each plate provided a tasting for four. Not huge portions, but definitely tasting sizes. That said, this is a very popular place with limited seatings. No reservation, no tapas. Want to sit and chat for hours? Not here. They have a two hour limit because so many want to eat here. But their service is so well orchestrated your tapas comes in waves and you're never without food for very long. You get what you pay for. Sometimes. Bill ran 15-20% higher than most other places we've been over the past two weeks. But we'll worth the premium.

This is a very cute little bistro. It definitely seems like it would normally be a great place to have a date night, but tonight it was packed with large groups. The restaurant interior is very small and there is no outdoor seating. The ceiling is on the lower side, so if you have space issues, this is definitely not the place for you. There were a variety of tapas options and the dishes were definitely on the sizable side for tapas. We tried the bread with tomato, patates bravas, a roasted carrot with hummus dish, chicken masala and the salmon. The tomato bread was delicious and so were the patates bravas. The salmon was perfectly cooked, but the chicken needed a bit more spice. Service was a bit spotty, but it was packed tonight, so I wasn't surprised. Presentation of the food was also very beautiful.

Another amazing tapas place in Barca, another amazing review. Like all the other restaurants in Barca, the vibe is impeccable. I love walking through those cobblestone streets, just getting lost in the myriad of scents and colors. The inside of the restaurant has this rouge decor with decorated art pieces and drawings. The servers are super friendly and chill - no rush here. However, it is super busy! Packed and a line outside - get a reservation! The food was incredible (no surprise). All the tapas were great... from the croquettes to the paella. Just be careful not to wash it down with a super strong espresso at 9PM or you will be laying awake wide-eyed like an owl all night. 5/5!

10/10!!!! We tried the tomato bread, truffle ravioli, an oyster tapa, and ham croquettes. Everything was tasty and filling. We really liked the raspberry mojitos and got a second round as desert. We ended up sitting around for a while but the small restaurant had another reservation coming in and we had to move to the bar. The staff was super chill and friendly with us taking all the time we wanted. When we had been sitting at our table, we had three different people switching around waiting on us and they were all amazing.

/)/) ( . .) ( づ we were sent here because the sensi was fully booked. It's a small restaurant but cosy ambience. Must try the mussels. Wow. Never tasted such a creamy sauce. The mussels were superb! the vegan croquettes were outstandingly delish. the ceviche was good. Wouldn't recommend the steak. The meat was a bit rough. Nothing special about it and for that it was too expensive. The salmon was delicious! All In all it was a very good tapas place but kinda pricey so keep that in mind if you wanna try tapas for the first time and you're looking for a more affordable place then this is not it.

Iberian ham platter, potatoes bravas, prawn croquettes, coca bread with tomato.

We had the shrimp croquettes, potatoes bravas, aubergine ragout, beet carpaccio. Everything was delicious. It's a cozy space, maybe a bit tight. But great service and a festive atmosphere.

Great place - we stumbled upon it by chance, and it was packed. Luckily, they sat 4 of us at the bar and we had a blast. Food is great, service is fantastic (handsome waiters!!). The cocktails were made with care. If you can - make a reservation.

Very creative dishes. Staff very friendly and would help with recommendations of dishes. Price is very reasonable. We ordered 5 small plates and 3 glasses of wine and it totaled around $50. Reservation is recommended as it gets very crowded past 7:40pm.

We had the best time at Sensi Bistro! We went for tapas and drinks, without a reservation, and three were able to squeeze us in, as long as we didn't stay too late. The waiter was very nice and answered all of our questions. We ordered several items, and we really enjoyed them all! The potatoes bravos was such a big portion and delicious! The tortilla was such a great treat, with the mushroom sauce on the side. The ravioli was cheesy and delicious! The chicken and the beef were actually much bigger portions than we were expecting! Definitely check this place out!

Small restaurant, but loved the ambiance. The tapas were incredible; favorites were the truffle pasta, salmon, and bread. Raspberry mojito was also fantastic. Very reasonably priced.

Nestled in an unassuming network of cobble stone lined alley ways are hidden gems worth discovering. We came looking for tapas, paella, sangria; and we found just that. Location: Plaza de España is within a 5 min walk, blocks away from shopping, and 30 minutes from the airport by way of shuttle. Used Google Maps with several sharp turns to find this local favorite. Service: the owner employs his pet Pomeranian, that follows the wait staff unconditionally. This is a no frills restaurant; grab a seat anywhere you like, and order off the menu. What we ate: Table service - pitted olives; briny and herbaceous. So delicious as an appetizer. Crisp Potatoes - served with aioli and red pepper sauce; so simple yet so comforting. Fried Calamari - can't go wrong with crispy calamari. Pork & Mushroom Paella - I know we're used to seeing seafood, but pork and mushroom with crispy rice is different, bold, and worth each bite. Sangria Blanco - I won't lie, it was heaven with the first sip, and it left me wanting more. Unlike its red cousin; white sangria is lighter and more fruit forward. So refreshing! After 18 hours of transiting; this was a delectable experience.

We were treated like locals with a warm welcome. Tables outside on the patio as well as cozy indoor seating. The house made lemon cello was a finishing treat.

Ziryab seemed to fit the bill, so we made plans to stop here during our first night in the city. Ziryab is located close to the Gothic Quarter, on side street. It's kind of inconspicuous from the outside, but the interior gives way to a really welcoming space. The restaurant is separated into two main areas, with an earth-tone color scheme that has a rustic, almost cave-like aesthetic. The high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows keep the dining room open and spacious. The tapas menu had a good selection, and we decided on several items: pan con tomate, sweet potato rolls, chicken cannelloni, bacon-wrapped figs, croquettes, falafel, and a charcuterie board. All the tapas were great - my favorites were the chicken cannelloni, pan con tomate, and the charcuterie board. The cannelloni especially was a standout - definitely a unique dish, and the chicken was super flavorful. We opted for dessert, and got the feta whip cheesecake - this was great as well. The combination of tang and sweet was a good finisher to our meal. Service was great - everyone was friendly and our dishes were served at a good pace. Overall, I'm glad I tried out Ziryab - the tapas were delicious and atypical of ones you find elsewhere in Barcelona. I would have no qualms returning here for another meal.

We ordered fresh salmon with dill, coroquetas de jamón iberico, a cod fritter, and chicken cannelloni with foie gras and black truffle sauce. We also ordered the pan with tomate, of course to soak up the truffle sauce. The cannelloni was amazing! I mean it melted in your mouth amazing!! After our snacks... We ordered dessert. It's done so right, juicy tangy, bursting with flavors and the pita in the salad is made into a curly flower and gives a delicious crunch. We liked the dish of garbanzo and yogurt a bit less, as it was quite heavy and lacked flavor. My son was very pleased with shish tavouk with chicken, and I loved my halloumi dish.
