We stumbled across this bar on the way back to our hotel and it was so packed, with people waiting outside to get in, we knew we had to try it. It's a very small space but since it's tapas, the wait isn't super long. We waited maybe 15 minutes and got 2 seats at the bar. The food was delicious and the energy was true Barcelona nighttime energy. It was such a happy surprise and we were so happy we finally found a place that wasn't touristy. Highly recommend.

Duck cannelloni..should have been amazing. But it's was sloppily thrown together. Not as great as my cannelloni at Bar Mut.

My heart is broken. After many years of visiting this wonderful restaurant, I returned after 5 years to find it a pale imitation of its former self. Gone was the wild creativity. Gone was the great flavours in unexpected combinations. The wonton of foi, the oxtail, the squid ink croquette are all gone. No pistachio roll cake for desert. Even the famous Wasabi Mushroom salad was missing its sparkle. The duck cannelloni seemed hastily arranged, no subtlety or any thought given to the texture. I'm sure Bar Del Pla can one day return to its former greatness but today it's simply missing the magic and creativity it once exemplified.

Locals spot for sure. If you're an over weight American with a southern accent, you may not get seated as this delicious abode caters to locals or tourists who speak spanish or look local. The food was delish to the very last morsel & the vermouth cool perfection for only 3 euros. Loved the energy of this place.

The only pic I could snap because we literally devoured it all.

Where do I begin? The best places are often the small, unassuming ones, and Bar del Pla embodies that perfectly. Though it's small, it has a very cozy and homely feel. The atmosphere is laid back, the tapas are impressive, and the wine selection is extensive. The service is consistently excellent; the staff knows the menu inside out and can expertly recommend wine pairings. During our stay in Barcelona, we visited Bar del Pla at least three times in four days--that's how good it is. Now back in Miami, I find myself wishing we had a little place like that here. I miss it and can't wait to return.

Refreshing beers on tap, yummy tapas, and welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend the mushroom with wasabi dressing!! One of the best bites of the trip! The meat croquette and crudo were yummy as well! Definitely will be back if we ever return to Barcelona.

Really good food. Their shirts say f*ck sangria, drink wine. And I couldn't agree more. Really good wine. The patatas bravado were delicious, and even my 1 year old agreed. The beef, Foi tartar, out of this world.

Food was amazing! We ordered almost everything on the menu and everything lived up to our expectations. Loved the playlist and the shirts that the servers were wearing.

The food was amazing. Everything we tried I would definitely get again. The tomato bread was out of this world. We also got the mussels, croquettes, roast beef salad, and tripe and veal. The waiter was super friendly and helpful with everything. It's a small place so make sure to make reservations for this place.

Came here twice in our short 4 day trip to Barcelona because the food, wine, service were all so good. Don't pass on the spinach croquetas, patatas bravas. Excellent wine knowledge and can give great recommendations. They clearly take pride in the wine they serve.

My favorite tapas place I tried hands down. Literally the best patatas bravas. The steak tartare was amazing v the oxtail: amazing. The spinach and cheese croquettes AMAZING. the mushrooms with wasabi was such a pleasant surprise. I would try everything on their menu. The only miss for me was the tuna tartare because it was a little too fishy in my opinion. Otherwise, great food, amazing service, very affordable pricing, lots of natural wines to try, and great vibes. Definitely stop here if you're in Barcelona.

This was one of our best impromptu stops in Barcelona. We left the Picasso museum and it was raining so we found the closest bar/restaurant. What a find! We had a great bottle of red wine - Femme d'Argeni. We also had the tomato bread (the best one I've had one this trip!!), sea bass ceviche, and mushrooms with wasabi sauce. All of it was amazing! Highly recommend!

Tartare de Bou & Foie [Beef & Foie Tartar]

This place has a small storefront and it is very easy to pass by without noticing it. The food is very good, especially the sliced mushrooms with wasabi sauce, and the beef tartar with foie, very tasty. Please note that this place is closed every Sunday.

    Patatas bravas - best ever!

Excellent spot in the Gothic quarter. I was able to walk-in without a reservation. It was lively and I like how they try to source sustainable products. Highly recommended. Ask the team what's best because they change items often.

Very flavorful and fast experience. Oxtail and mashed potatoes 10/10: the oxtail meet is so tender and flavorful. The mashed potatoes pair so well with the oxtail. Mushroom, steak, and egg yolk 9/10: soo flavorful and balance of veggies and protein. Amazing textures and flavors. Sparkling sangria: 8/10 I don't normally live the taste of alcohol but this was great. Not tooooo strong and if tastes pretty good if you mix it with the orange juice. Fresh orange juice: 10/10 so tangy and delicious. I can't recommend it enough. Patatas bravas: 9/10 solid no complaints! Dessert Tapas: - bread dessert (Tarija): 11/10 amazing dessert that is creamy, cameralized, and has a mochi like texture. This fried chewy dessert is not too sweet and such an affordable price. - coconut pudding 9/10 solid and refreshing if you like flan - bread, chocolate oil, salt 7/10: I live the complex flavors. The chocolate mousse was light and the bread to mousse ratio was perfect. It's a smaller dessert tho I wouldn't recommend it if ur sharing. Service: amazing! Staff I'm everywhere so it was very easy to order more food. Also we were sitting buy the area where they made dessert and they allowed me to record them making it!! Comfortable ambiance great for date night or casual meals!!!

Not only was his service incredible, but he also gave us amazing recommendations for our upcoming trip to Buenos Aires in two weeks. The food was hands-down our best meal in Barcelona. Every dish felt authentic and full of flavor. To top it all off, the meal ended with a shot of local acorn liquor as we toasted Jordi, our other server, which also made the whole experience feel so special. Then the sea bass and prawns in a coconut milk based soup...the star. Reminded me of a Thai Tom Kha soup. Overall would highly recommend. If I ever return to Barcelona, I will stop in.
