Cute lil spot tucked in front of the Music Palace of Catalunya. This was our first night in Barcelona and wanted to try tapas. After a 1 hour wait( I'd recommend planning ahead), we were seated. Place is pretty small on the inside. Kids had the fried squid with aioli which was yumm! We tried the pan con tomate, the charcuterie board and everything was really good.

Good location, right next to Palau de Musica. The tapas were good but not exceptional, maroccan chicken was dry and mussels curry lacked flavor. Enchiladas with cheese and nuts and tuna tartare were really good. Solid 4 stars.

    Montaditos and tuna tartar

I've been here three times in one week. The food is fantastic, the staff is super friendly. I love the montaditos with brie and tomato marmalade. The tuna tartar is fantastic. I've also had the moroccan style chicken and it did not disappoint. Highly, highly recommend.

First tapas spot and thought the menu was all too similar to surrounding restaurants. The prices are fair considering it is across from the palau de Musica and near the cathedral. I had the tuna tataki, a bit overzealous with the soy but it held its own. Had it with a white sangria for an afternoon snack. i would have ordered more but they cleared my table so I took my leave. Not much for ambiance, a casual bar. Centrally located in Old Town/ Gothic area.

Delicious espresso martini! This was the best meal of our four days in Barcelona.

Stopped at Tosca before seeing a flamenco show at Palau de la Música Catalana, and the tapas were absolutely phenomenal. We ordered muscles, chicken, potatoes bravas and cheesey cauliflower before cleansing our palate with a cheese dish that included a tasty jam. The perfect spot to stop at before going to any event at Palau de la Música Catalana.

Yummy and inventive and not your traditional tapas if you're looking for some flair. The empanadas that essentially were French onion soup inside a doughy casing were unbelievable. I could have had dozens of them, though my waistline would have paid the price, my taste buds thanked me for sure! Really loved the variety of flavors. Mussels were very good with a yummy sauce, ripe for dipping. The sangria was very good - snag a pitcher. Overall the vibe was bustling energy and felt like you were really part of a happy night of diners all enjoying their plates of goodness!

Awesome food and service. Great Opera house right across street. Sangria was good and refreshing with Tapas being the star of the show. English spoken quite well.

Amazing food and great prices! Display was great (see picture)! My wife and I highly recommend it assuming u do not want a nice formal dinner. This is a nice casual place. The sea bass was cooked to perfection, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.

TLDR: one of my favorite meals of the trip! ____ This was our first stop and man did it set the tone. This cozy and quaint little spot can be romantic and casual at the same time. We started off with a jar of Sangria. It was delicious and maybe my favorite of the trip. Patatas bravas - fried chunks of potato with a spicy sauce to dip in. Pan con tomate - man I love this! So simple. It's bread with a bit of mashed tomato spread. Provolone cheese with Chimichurri- this was a delight! The cheese pull is fantastic, but the taste is even better. Empnada with goat cheese mozzarella walnuts and camarolozsd onions - these were excellent! Chorizo - I didn't love this. It was ok, just not what I was expecting. Service was top notch. We considered coming back here before the end of the trip but ultimately opted to try new things. I wouldn't have been mad having once more little meal here.

We came here for lunch on our last full day and this was my favorite meal of the trip! Between the two of us we ordered one menu of the day with pork, patatas bravas and risotto. The menu of the day also came with a beverage (husband ordered a beer) and dessert or coffee, we choose to get the carrot cake (to share). In addition to that, we ordered the deep fried squid and the tuna (based off our waitress' recommendation). Everything was delicious! It was a ton of food and we finished everything! The tuna was a great choice, it was so fresh and flavorful with the different sauces. The patatas bravas were my favorite of the trip, because they left the sauce on the side it stayed crispy for the entire meal. The squid was another great item because it was perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside.

This was recommended by friends awhile back, I remembered the modern ambiance, amazing Tapas, friendly service and the place was as busy then until now. The fact that even after a decade, it's rare that I go back to the same spot let alone they're still around after all these years. You already know that tells a lot and I feel bad for those who didn't have the same great experience, hope they give it another shot. See y'all soon! Salut, Vermouth!

My son had been here last year and thought, it was a solid. We put our name in, went to a nearby park bench to wait and watch people for 50 minutes. The servers outside are grumpy as to many people are crowding the sidewalk and impeding his service. Finally, our name was called, were seated at the bar, and watched a chef make the magic dishes. The menu is huge and I can't help but watch the delicious dishes flying by us. So little time and yet so many great choices, this won't be easy. We began with the beef tenderloin montadito foie gras. It was presented as a open face sandwich on a bagette. We split it as it had a huge piece of foie gras. The tenderloin was tough and the tapas tasted like indivdual components, not a blended or refined profile. The grilled razor clams were nicely cooked, slightly gritty and needed to be washed more thoroughly. The Spanish omelet wedge was spiritual, dish of the night award. The onion made the dish! The sliced fried artichoke was finely shaved, and again lacked a enjoyable flavor that I would order again. The chips with fried eggs and Jabugo ham was different, tasty and a concept I would not of thought about. Delicious! Casveseria Catalanahe was packed and stacked for a reason. A high vibe and energy even in the face of a revolt at the check in desk from hungry dinners. I came say without hesitation, we will give them a second try. The staff was friendly, engaging, warm and a good sense of humor, nothing but smiles. I can't wait for our next trip to Cerveseria Catalana and let them tell me what to order. Good luck and see you sooner than later.
