Fast and helpful service. It is not too loud and they seated us quickly. Tapas always seem like you can eat a ton of them but take it slow. Enjoy. We had the Paella with lobster is fantastic. Loved the ham, cheese and date "sandwich". The fried cheese and jam was delicious and the desserts were worthy it all. Order the bread pudding it is like a cream brûlée in a soft crust. the gelato casota is not too sweet and extremely creamy. Melt in your mouth!
Maybe the best place we went Madrid for tapas. Everything was high quality and delicious. Service was good. The place we heard could get crowded but we went about 6:00p and were seated right away. Plenty of tables then. Nice, clean restaurant right on the Gran Via. I thought prices were reasonable too. Lots to try here.
This will be a very disappointing place for any visitor who speaks/understands Spanish...not only is it just another tourist trap, but it's also run by very rude people. Both times we came here, it was basically because it's one of the only options in the area still open after 11/11:30pm. When we first flew into Barcelona, we didn't make it to the hotel until the evening, and ended up napping for a little while before going out for some food. As a result, we ended up at Vinitus just before 12am (they close around 1am). This first time, they seated us at a table just outside the main entrance, as they were closing down the outdoor patio space for the night. The food was (ok), but sufficed for the evening, since we were mostly just hungry and tired. Alright, now...let's cut to the second visit. About a week later, we returned to Barcelona by train after visiting a few other parts of Spain. Similarly to the previous time, it was late in the evening, so we ended up going to Vinitus - half out of familiarity, half because it's one of the only options open later at night. This time, we were seated within the indoor dining space, so we could hear all of the staff talking. Throughout the evening, they kept glancing over at us, making faces, and talking amongst themselves. Clearly, they didn't realize that we, as American tourists, could understand and speak Spanish....as they were quite obviously talking a WHOLEEE lot of gossip. We overheard them saying something about us not tipping when we came 'last Monday'.....even though tipping is not part of the culture in Spain and we literally have never been asked ANYWHERE in Spain to tip or given any indication that it is expected in any way. They also gossiped about our food and drink choices. We paid our bill and I went downstairs for the restroom...apparently my partner had made it clear to them that we could understand everything they had been saying while I was gone, as they were attempting to be extremely friendly to me as I exited....something they had never bothered to do in any way AT ALL previously. Anyways...I don't think it'd be surprising for me to say that they've left a bad taste in the mouths of two customers who otherwise might have returned on future visits to Barcelona.... ...but now we most certainly will not, and will also be advising friends and family who visit Spain not to patron this establishment either.

Did a walk in and got seated immediately on a Monday. The paella was average and so were majority of the tapas. The only thing that was decent was the razor clams and the chicken croquettes. The tomato bread was so plain and same with the octopus sigh. I would recommend skipping this spot if you're looking for tapas.

He recommended some dishes which we thoroughly enjoyed. The bustling and welcoming vibe is memorable. They have a rotating menu of daily specials. We got the beef and foie gras montadito, shrimp ajillo, grilled octopus (pulpo), and fried seafood. For dessert we took Christian's recommendation and ordered the torrida crema de St Teresa an amazing version of French toast which will always be one of my happiest food memories! This is topped with a Catalan crema making it a delicious, decadent dessert! I'll look forward to coming back here!
This is for the MADRID location which doesn't seem to be on Yelp. Industrial-cool setting with a lively vibe. Vinitus has a wide selection of tapas that are reasonably priced, which makes it a great spot to try a variety of dishes without breaking the bank. There's about a one-and-a-half hour limit per table, but the service is efficient and the pace works well for a tapas-style meal. It's also super convenient, only about a five-minute walk from our hotel. My favorites were the Spanish omelette, acorn fed Iberian Ham, and the croquetas with Iberian ham and chicken. Definitely save room for dessert as the cheesecake and the crème brûlée were a perfect way to end the meal. They also offer a good selection of beer and wine. read more

It pays to make extra few steps away from common tourist roads. Great food and very friendly service. All tapas and wine were amazing. We were glad to follow yelp recommendations and try this place out. read more

Great place for tinned seafood tapas. If you're willing to try new things and not against tinned fish, I highly recommend this place. Waited in line 15 minutes before it opened and we got in. English friendly. As a tourist, I like that they have a time limit. read more
Didn't make a reservation for this place but we thought if we got there early enough we would get a seat for two fairly quick and that's how it was! It was a lovely day so most people preferred outdoor seating vs indoor but we were hungry so inside was just fine, plus, the decor and ambiance was so cute that it honestly doesn't matter where you sit. The hostess that showed us to our seat was nice and our server even nicer. The menu had a great selection of tapas as well as regular dishes, when in Barcelona of course, tapas is always a must. The price was fair, some food was a bit more than others so there's always something for everyone's pocket. The place is a nice place for a group as well for a solo or a date, they have an excellent wine selection as well as some juices and soft drinks. The food was very tasty, but I did have the little steaks with padrón peppers and the pepper was super spicy, not sure why because I've had those peppers many time before at diff restaurants and this is the very first time is spicy so eye on that if you don't tolerate spice! Our sever kept checking if we had everything we needed which is always appreciated. I wanted to try more things but I was so stuffed lol, however, I did have space for some dessert haha... I had the brownie, it was soft and warm, very rich too, super good! So if you want a cute place that feels somewhat upscale but doesn't break the bank, try this place! read more

There is a reason why there is a line to get in. One of the trendier but delicious tapas restaurants in Barcelona. A local recommended this spot and we were glad he did. Prices are fair. Food is good. Would definitely eat here again. I still salivate when I think of the tenderloin with foie gras. read more

Wow the best tapas in Barcelona, great place to people watch, great service, very clean bathrooms! They seated me inside with the window to look out. Prices are reasonable. Their Tinto cup is great! Razor clams, seafood grilled plate, octopus, and new meat tapa just so fresh and flavorful. Highly recommended! read more
Vinitus is one of my new favorite spots in Madrid. It is a more higher end restaurant, with heftier prices, but a really fancy ambiance. When you walk in, you can see the kitchen in the middle of the restaurant, with fresh ingredients lined up. I love the variety the menu provides and how there are daily specials. All the food was great, but our favorite was the dessert. The churros were even better than the infamous San Ginés, with a better depth of flavor. Service was great, and easy to navigate with English (they provide English Menus!). You must check this place out if you're in the Gran Via area. read more

When we arrived, there was a 20-25 minute wait, and while the restaurant nearby had open tables and great reviews, we decided to hold out--and we're so glad we did! We ended up with two seats at the bar, which turned out to be a great spot. You get a fantastic view of the restaurant, the staff is incredibly attentive, and the food was outstanding. The Ensalada Rusa was one of the best we had during our time in Spain - light, flavorful, and topped with a generous chunk of tuna. We also loved the scrambled eggs with jamón and patatas - simple but perfectly done. The croquetas were light, creamy, and delicious. And then there were the churros y chocolate- light and not overly sweet or heavy. But the real standout? The Torrija de Santa Teresa- a cinnamon-sugar-crusted treat that tasted like the most divine cross between French toast and a cinnamon roll. Absolutely unforgettable. read more
We were introduced to this place by a friend who lives here in Barcelona. What an amazing little spot. Tapas of all sorts were ordered and everything was delicious, oozing with quality and fresh ingredients. Servers are on top of their game and efficient. The restaurant stays busy and that speaks to its standards of providing great food and a great time. read more
We loved Vinitus so much we went twice during our trip to Spain--once in Madrid and once in Barcelona! Everything we tried was delicious, but the potatoes stole the show--crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and packed with flavor. The service was quick both times, and it felt like a modern take on classic tapas. Definitely a must-visit if you're in either city! read more
Stopped by Vinitus for dinner a few weeks ago during a trip to Barcelona and had a wonderful experience. The food was amazing, the service was friendly and efficient, and the restaurant was clean and welcoming. We were a party of four adults and we ordered a whole bunch of tapas to share. There was a great variety to choose from and all tapas were prepared well. This was definitely a highlight meal for us while in Barcelona. As noted above, we tried several tapas that were on the menu for the day and shared. Although everything was tasty, some of our notable favorites included: - "Bravas" potatoes - Prawns "Garlic Style" - Lobster Paella - Potato and Nuts "Mini Bombs" - Beef Tenderloin Montadito with Foie - Chocolate with Churros (for dessert) This spot seems super popular, even for locals. We came by during the early evening for dinner and there was no wait. By the time we were done with our meal, the place was packed with tons of people waiting outside. The food and service definitely justify the popularity. We would definitely recommend Vinitus and would return on a future visit to Barcelona. read more

One of my favorite meal in BARCELONA! Everything was delicious and the prices were very reasonable. My friend and I got there around 1:30pm and waited about 15 mins. They do not take reservations. The line looked long but it was pretty quick. We didn't mind sitting at the bar and that is where they sat us. I think the bar is great because you get to see the cooks in action. I went during lunch and they have the LOBSTER Rice which was their huge paella and chef splits it to few plates to serve. So much flavor in this dish and the rice was cooked perfectly. I loved everything we order but a must order item is the Sirloin with Foie Gras. The steak is soft and the foie gras was full of flavor. Can I have another one please! The restaurant is big and warm. The staff was efficient and nice. I can't wait to come back. read more

I have to say this place had the best pistachio ice cream I've had in my life! Apparently they make it there. It was simply perfection. This place was in the high end of pricing but all the tapas we had were fantastic. We had the assortment of montaditos. One had a croqueta that was so good. The other had a salad like a coleslaw but not really. My husband enjoyed the others that had sardines and cod. But their desserts were the star of the show. Besides the pistachio ice cream we had the brownie and the crema catalana- all were delicious. Service was great. We didn't have to wait at all while we were there. Inside was very fusion/urban/cool restaurant. Nice to go and have some wine and tapas! It was a fun experience for sure. read more
Delicious reasonably priced tapas and wines, in a clean comfortable environment with excellent service. We walked here after seeing Casa Batlló....about 10 minutes: There was a line but it moved quite quickly. We were seated within 12 minutes of putting down our name. The place was huge with 2 floors of tables inside, a huge tapas bar that seats about 25 people and a covered outside dining area. Additionally I liked that it was very clean and well decorated. We liked it so much we came back for lunch 3 days later. That says a lot considering you practically stumble across a tapas bar/restaurant/eatery at every turn in the city center. Eleven days on both coasts of Spain, I've eaten my weight in Grilled Razor Clams and these were definitely my favorite. The sauce was slightly lighter in olive oil and a drizzle of white vinegar freshened up the entire dish and made a whole world of difference. Perfect with a glass of Cava or white wine. OCTOPUS "GALICIAN STYLE" is a traditional Spanish dish with octopus cooked with olive oil, smoked paprika, and sea salt. The octopus sliced into 1-inch pieces and served with potatoes. Here the octopus was served on a bed of puréed potatoes. Another winner. The octopus tender yet firm. The puréed potatoes smooth and soft but not rich and creamy which I really appreciated. To my taste, the dish needed a drizzle of olive oil and a dash of salt which I gladly added to make the dish perfect. Prawns Garlic Style - Poached prawns in a garlic olive oil with paprika. Simple but delicious. The broth not super garlicky, was so good we kept it to dip our bread in. Flautas (baguette sandwiches) with tuna, anchovies, olives and red pepper. Possibly my favorite sandwich...and I've had my share of Banh Mi. Loved this preparation with no mayonnaise. All the ingredients worked so well together. The roasted red bell pepper with olive oil and vinegar, added an a wonderful acidic freshness to the dish. The anchovies acted like the bass player in a band. Usually not the star of the show but would leave a void if not present. Here it played the role of salt and added a solid foundation of round umami for the other ingredients to build upon. All held in a fresh crispy baguette. I could eat this every day! Awe man I wish there were a place like this in Honolulu. Happy Eating!! read more

When I saw groups of Korean tourists continuously entering, I knew immediately that I came to the correct place. They typically do their research extensively before choosing places. The restaurant didn't disappoint and lived up to my expectations in every way. It's been awhile since I had foie gras this delicious but with very affordable price. I had a wonderful time. read more

such a delicious meal in barcelona! the wait was really long, but it was overall a great experience, since the restaurant is in a nice area and we were able to walk around. perfectly crispy and delicious patatas bravas, and amazing classic tapas all around. the lobster paella was very flavorful and not too salty, but there was not much lobster meat inside of the shell. the pan con tomate was not as heavy in tomato flavor as i'm used to, but still had good garlicky flavor. the mushrooms and asparagus was a small portion, but so flavorful! all the montaditos were so delicious and fresh. the seafood here is a must have - they prepare it fresh and the ingredients have such amazing quality. wonderful service and attentive staff. read more
Our group of 4 adults and 1 infant went here for our first night in Barcelona and it was such a fabulous welcome! We ordered the patatas bravas, steamed mussels, patron peppers, tortilla, ham croquettes, beef tenderloin montadito with foie, Iberian ham platter, and a couple bottles of cava to wash it all down with! The service was friendly and welcoming and the food came out lightning fast! Everything tasted amazing and fresh! We were extremely delighted with our meal and ordered 3 desserts to share afterwards: St teresa "Torrija", crema catalana, and the coconut pudding. The unanimous winner was the Torrija! It was probably the best tasting dessert that anyone has ever tasted! Mind-blowingly amazing in textures and not too sweet in a perfect size! We went back a couple more times in our week in Barcelona and we even ordered 4 x Torrija to go! I'm already thinking about when I'm going to revisit this delicious spot! read more
