Great staff, food delicious and came out quick. Made a pit stop here coming back from Park Güell. The service was great and attentive, they poured be a draft Alhambra beer which tasted great. I got the Bombeta Bombeta de la Barceloneta which was fresh and delicious, highly recommend.

We only had two dinners in Barcelona before our cruise, so we had to make them count, and this place absolutely delivered. Yelp steered me here, and it did not disappoint! First tip: make a reservation. We booked one the day before (easy peasy), but when we got there they were turning people away left and right. So yeah, feeling pretty smug about that one. The vibe is totally authentic: cramped, lively, and full of energy. There's bar seating, a few high tables, and a little room in the back, but we loved being up front where all the action was. Our waiter, Jarrel (pronounced like Superman's father), was the absolute best. He guided us through the menu like a pro, and we ended up with some killer dishes. The sausage cannelloni? Life-changing. The fried asparagus? Hey, a girl's gotta have her vegetables, am I right? The steak was okay - but we should have gotten the ribs that everyone else was getting, so learn from my mistake. I was most excited for the foie gras and egg dish, but it leaned a little too heavy on the truffle (which is not something I say often) and not enough foie. Still, it was a fantastic meal overall. We told Jarrel we wanted a leisurely dinner to soak up the atmosphere, and he timed everything perfectly.

Cutest tapas spot! Highly recommend, very trendy. Some things you must get: patatas bravas, octopus, cuddlefish pasta. Each bite was delish! Consistent service, would come back!

Best food I had in Spain. I didn't have reservations but the wait was worth it. The waiters were attentive. Food also came out pretty fast. It is a bit small inside but the ambiance is there. I highly recommend this place when visiting Barcelona.

The food & sangria were absolutely wonderful! We got lucky at lunch & were able to get 2 seats at the bar without reservations. Recommend making reservations for lunch & dinner. Reasonable prices & beautiful presentation. Tempura asparagus was huge & delicious. Ham croquettes were delicious, a bit small so we should've got 2 orders. The quinoa & avocado salad was divine. The beef tenderloin cooked perfectly & delicious. Sangria sold by 1/2 liter or full liter. Service was good.

Really great small tapas place, that is pretty affordable in my opinion for the quality. You could make reservations in advance, although there seemed to be tables available on Friday around 1pm. If you're a couple, I recommend bar seating as the seated tables are a bit cramped and against the wall. Standouts were patatas Bravas, 100% beef burger, and beef tenderloin. The patatas was fried well. The beef burger was nicely salted and went well with the foie gras. Beef tenderloin was fairly soft and potatoes were very thinly sliced.

I came here highly recommended while visiting BCN and was so impressed with everything I ordered. I came on a week night so it was easy to grab a table. Staff were very accommodating and helpful with discussing the menus. The tapas here were incredible with honorable mentions to the patatas bravas, steak chimichurri and the lamb! Everything was so tasty and priced friendly for the amount of food! I would absolutely come back next time I visit BCN

No one here was nice. Food wasn't good. Go across the street for nice people and good vibes. Disappointed in this place by bad attitudes the whole way. Would have tipped but when you're that mean and salty why. Soooooo ruddeee

We went back 3 times during our trip!!! It was absolutely amazing. Some of the best food Ive had thus far. The ceviche itself was mind blowing, I would highly recommend trying this! The service was on and off but towards our last visit they warmed up to us. Can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu (they've been in business for 15 years so I am hopeful they will still be there when I go back to Barcelona) ¡Fuimos de regreso 3 veces durante nuestro viaje!!!

Their Patatas Bravas was the best of our trip (we had order that dish at 4 different restaurants during a week and often like but loved them here). The English menu said chicken "wings" but they were actually chicken thighs on lettuce wraps with cheese and herbs that were delicious. Broken eggs on Iberian Ham over potatoes - great breakfast dish. Loved both white and red vermut!

Hands down BEST RESTAURANT we visited in Spain (Barcelona and Madrid). Went there three times in 2 weeks. Only place we went to more than once. Every single dish was an experience and the best version of that dish that we had had on our entire trip. Please do yourself a favor and make time to come here. The place is small and it gets busy fast so we made it a point to go before 6 PM for dinner since we didn't mind (we're American and eat early anyways) in that way we didn't have to wait in line or feel cramped in the small space.

I really enjoyed my meal at Tapeo. I made reservations for Saturday lunch at 1:30 for 2 people and was seated promptly when we arrived. I think they were taking some walk-in groups but for later, as I heard the bartender tell someone to come back in an hour. The restaurant is long and narrow. Most seating in the front is high tops or at the bar. It's bigger than I thought it was, with additional booth seating in the back. We started out sharing a half pitcher of sangria for 10€, which was about one cup per person. It's on the strong side here; you can definitely taste the wine. Most of the food menu centers around various tapas dishes, including some Catalonian dishes. The menu is meat heavy but does have limited vegetarian options as well. We ordered three tapas: Yakisoba de verduritas / vegetable yakisoba (12€) - this was pretty standard Meloso de ternera con tuetano asado / sweet veal with roasted marrow (18€) - I loved every single bite of this dish. The veal was melt in your mouth tender and paired perfectly with the marrow. Conejo con caracoles / grilled boneless rabbit with snails (14€) - I wanted to try a Catalonian dish and this sounded really interesting, so I got it. Essentially it's ground rabbit meat served with snails on top. I couldn't really tell it was rabbit meat, but it was quite tasty!

    Tenderloin with truffle sauce

My niece and I are on a european whirlwind trip that started in Barcelona today. She found Tapeo looking at TikTok. We walked in and immediately notice the charm. This is a small restaurant with bars eating for around 8 and table wearing for around 20. We were there for an hour and a half and were not rushed at all. We started with burrata with tomatoes, the burrata was creamy and now and then you'd hit some flaked salt and wow. The bombeta - which they are known for, it did not disappoint! Crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. Then we moved on to the beef tenderloin with truffle sauce. The tenderloin was on top of what we think were really tender thinly sliced potato. Then the cuttlefish pasta came out. This is a large dish, multiple people can enjoy it. The noodles were tender, the ink made a flavorful sauce and the small pieces of cuttlefish were tender. It came with an aioli that added some nice depth to the fish. Finally, I couldn't leave without trying the meat stuffed morel mushrooms. The cream sauce made it next level. Overall, we loved everything we tried and wish we could go back tomorrow to try more!! Highly recommend!!

Very flavorful and fast experience. Oxtail and mashed potatoes 10/10: the oxtail meet is so tender and flavorful. The mashed potatoes pair so well with the oxtail. Mushroom, steak, and egg yolk 9/10: soo flavorful and balance of veggies and protein. Amazing textures and flavors. Sparkling sangria: 8/10 I don't normally live the taste of alcohol but this was great. Not tooooo strong and if tastes pretty good if you mix it with the orange juice. Fresh orange juice: 10/10 so tangy and delicious. I can't recommend it enough. Patatas bravas: 9/10 solid no complaints! Dessert Tapas: - bread dessert (Tarija): 11/10 amazing dessert that is creamy, cameralized, and has a mochi like texture. This fried chewy dessert is not too sweet and such an affordable price. - coconut pudding 9/10 solid and refreshing if you like flan - bread, chocolate oil, salt 7/10: I live the complex flavors. The chocolate mousse was light and the bread to mousse ratio was perfect. It's a smaller dessert tho I wouldn't recommend it if ur sharing. Service: amazing! Staff I'm everywhere so it was very easy to order more food. Also we were sitting buy the area where they made dessert and they allowed me to record them making it!! My Greek salad was very authentic and was as good as any salad I had while I lived in Greece. Very fresh vegetables, great Feta and seasoned to perfection. The shrimp scampi under the Tapas menu with garlic was equally good and oh so tasty. The smallish inside restaurant is best described as rustic and a tad warm. Instead I opted for the outside dining area, which has just a few tables but offered a very pleasant ambiance in the small side street this business is located on with low foot traffic and a very nice breeze on the warm day I dined here. The relaxed dining on the outside is definitely the way to go here especially during the summer months. From a negative standpoint, certain aspects of the service were too slow. I was seated pretty quickly upon arrival but I waited a tad bit too long to get my order in. Once ordered though, the food came pretty quickly on a positive note. However, for all intents and purposes the service stopped at that point where I had no follow up and literally had to walk inside the business to get my bill. Overall, the dining experience was still great for me slow service aside as the quality of the food and outdoor ambiance far outweighed the negatives. I would say if you are in a bit of there rush you may want to look elsewhere. However, if you are looking for a relaxing dining experience with great food than this business will be definitely fit the bill!

Taverna El Glop wraps you up in its warm, lively atmosphere the second you walk in. We were a group of four, and from start to finish, we had an awesome time. The open kitchen is a great touch -- you can watch the chef in action, which adds to the energy and makes the whole experience feel more connected and authentic. We shared a bunch of dishes, and everything was on point. The paella was rich and delicious -- exactly what we came for. The patatas bravas were crispy, creamy, and gone in seconds, and the shishito peppers were the perfect salty, snacky starter. Of course, we had to get a pitcher of sangria (okay, maybe two), which was fruity, refreshing, and just strong enough to keep things festive. The space itself has this great, rustic charm -- complete with checkered tablecloths and even an old cigarette machine near the bar (haven't seen one of those since I was a kid -- aren't those banned in the U.S. now?). I don't smoke -- smoking sucks -- but it added a bit of unexpected nostalgia and character. Service was excellent. I always make a point to be friendly, ask people their names, and introduce myself -- and that's usually met with warmth. It definitely was here. The staff were quick, kind, and seemed to enjoy the place as much as we did. Personally, I loved it. It's the kind of place you remember -- not because it's fancy or trendy, but because it's fun, flavorful, and full of heart. Highly recommend if you're in the area.
