La Flauta was our first stop in Barcelona! The pictures & reviews looked promising but when we got here, the service wasn't the best. We were ready to order and the server walked away from us as we were about to tell her what we wanted to order lol... Anyways, we DID end up being able to order and try these items: -razor clams -prawns clam & mussels platter -bolognese Mini hamburger Cod caprese White champagne sangria 1/2 pitcher Creamy mushroom Pear ravioli Bravas potatoes -seafood salad This is a tapa-styled restaurant and everything came out super quick after ordering. My favorite was the pear raviolis & my least favorite would have to be the white fish ceviche? I didn't enjoy the flavor profile on it. We had ordered a salad but unfortunately it did not end up coming and server didn't write it down, though nodded at the time of ordering. Overall, the food tasted super fresh and decently priced, imo. I guess the only thing is the service that I didn't like but it's kind of the theme so far at other places in Barna. Pretty nice & modern interior, well air conditioned, and bathrooms were clean.

A victim of its tic-tok and internet presence with influencers. I felt rushed to order and the wait staff had an impatient tone. I speak enough Spanish to be understood. The waiter challenged my preference for dry "seco" wine. The staff is not trained- you do not eat on the plate an entree is served: grilled clams, shrimp, and mussels. The quarter rabbit was right temperature, flavorless, the dipping sauce helped. The foie gras on top of the "broken egg" was barely appetizing as it was presented. It ruined a delicacy. No wine could salvage this atrocity. Franchised and suffering from its popularity with a certain demographics. Cautionary Note: do not expect a Michelins Bib gourmand ranking.

Came here for lunch and it was a perfect tapas spot. Plenty of options and quick service. I ordered the patatas bravas and shrimp and mushroom tortilla. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Would love to come back here for dinner one day!

Seafood was so fresh and enhanced naturally by the cooking method but really can taste the sea in each bite. From razor clams to the shrimp skewers, just super fresh and delicious. Had our well-before teenage kids and they appreciated the cuisine. The food came out super fast and service attentive. Well worth the walk from our hotel in Sarria. Our faves were the beef tenderloin flauta, shrimp & calamari flauta.

I'm in Barcelona only for a week for work and I went with some new friends to this restaurant and the food was exceptional! The service was fast and personable and the ambiance very lively. We went there and we were seated immediately but as soon as we finished the line for the restaurant was already around the block. Apparently this place is a popular restaurant not just for tourists but locals alike! Also the have 5 locations all over Barcelona but this location was the best one! I definitely highly recommend checking it out it is awesome! Oh and the Sangria is yummy!

It was such a wonderful experience! It was a bit of while before for a table but it was expected and well worth. Lots of table inside. Food was fantastic. Highly recommend the cod fish, beef tenderloin with foie and razor clam. Would definitely come back again.

Came here right at the open time, wait is not needed. Me and my wife ordered Fagara toast, potato omelette with foie gras, Fagara toast, potato omelette with Fagot, calamari, razor clams, and a few other dishes. Everything tastes great (with wine ) . We saw 2 local ladies ordered lamb shanks lunch sets (appetizer salad, lamb shank and dessert). It seems a good choice too~ After we finished while we walked out, the restaurant is packed with waiting lines outside. Great food attract people to come. Thumbs up and keep good work

Love this place. Was recommended by the hotel and went there at 10p, food was amazing, very good pace of delivery too. The service and ambiance were great,

After a long tour day, we wanted good food but not too much to call it a day. We found this restaurant in Goggle and decided to give it a try. They offer both inside and outside seating and it was busy when we got there around 7pm. The weather was nice that we decided to sit outside (they have heaters which is nice). They have a selection of tapas and they are mostly known for their montaditos and flautas (sandwiches). We ordered a variety of tapas and desserts and everything was delicious, fresh and made to order. The sliders and the torreja were my favorite and of course we had to try their churros!

AMAZING SEAFOOD: Barcelona is known for great seafood because of the local fishing industry but not all restaurants are equal in sourcing the freshest catches or preparing them perfectly. La Flauta excels in both. The freshness of the seafood ranks among the best restaurants in Barcelona and they will NOT overcook your seafood! Start with the Mini Barbeque tapa which includes prawns, clams, and mussels. The prawns were the freshest and tastiest I've ever had! When you break the head off, don't discard it, suck the yummy goodness out of the head first. This is only a great idea when prawns are super fresh. Also consider getting the Creamy Mushroom tapa and the wonderful Codfish with Honey Alioli tapa. The cod fish was cooked perfectly and the sweet And creamy dressing paired wonderfully with the cod meat. The Beef Tenderloin with Foie is a decadent treat and will make your mouth water before your first bite. Another great aspect of La Flauta is the prices are reasonable compared to the most touristy places. When I was there it was filled with locals. It is an older crowd because it isn't a cheap meal but it provides great value for the high level cuisine they serve you!

It's a very busy but spacious restaurant. Great and fast service! These were what we ordered: Razor clams - a little disappointing, the clams themselves were fresh and the flavor was great, but the ones I ate had tiny pieces of the shell Broken egg omelette - so moist and savory, had mushrooms Potatas bravas I saw other tables order grilled shrimp and they looked delicious, wish I had tried that!

Squid with bread and romesco sauce and artichokes. Tapas
    Chantel M.

Open late, wonderful tapas. Enjoyed ordering from both the Spanish menu and English menu. Many tapas to choose from. All were good, but my absolute favorite was the squid served with bread, romesco sauce and artichokes. So delicious! They were out of mussels, but the razor back clams were also delicious. We appreciated the house wine, fresh ingredients and skilled chefs. Waiter left much to be desired getting orders wrong, missing items ordered and never refilling the wine or water glasses. Prices were very reasonable. Most tapas were between 3-6 Ę. Razor back clams were most expensive at 11 Ę. Late night eating, but that is the Spanish way. When in Barcelona, eat like one! Delicioso.

Tastiest food we had in 3 days in Barcelona. Great drinks, attentive service. We had to stand in line a bit but it wasn't bad. Tapas were all great and plenty of options

The service was excellent, our server spoke English and knew so much about American pop culture. He even sang NSYNC songs to us while serving us dishes. As for the food let's get into it: - Lobster Croquettes (8/10) We've had a lot of croquettes this trip, but these were on another level, get one per person. - Paella (7.5/10) Different style of paella from other places we went. It was almost like a paella curry, which was still rich and delicious. - Squid Sandwich (10/10) This is hands down the best appetizer I've ever had. The squid was packed with flavor and the mayo sauce they used paired perfectly. Order one per person, and be prepared to order another to go. - Garlic Shrimp (8/10) Solid entree paired with sourdough bread. Dip that bread into the sauce and you'll be satisfied. - Aged Beef Steak w/ Foie Gras (9/10) This might be one of the best steak dishes I've had traveling abroad. It was cooked perfectly, and came with a potato crust on the bottom and Foie Gras on top. Definitely a must order. Overall a great experience, from the service and ambiance to the quality of the food, this is a must try when visiting Barcelona. Would I go again? Absolutely!

Cañete was booked out for 2 weeks straight, so we decided to risk it and see if we could get a spot as walk-ins; and were lucky enough to want less than 5 minutes before being sat at the "bar" in front of the open kitchen, which is honestly the best seat in the house IMHO. You get to see all the 'action' and interact with the friendly and often funny staff. Everything in the menu we tried was fantastic, but a few standouts for me were the squid sandwich (do yourself a favor and try it, even if you aren't a "squid person" the bread is fresh, and the butter garlic sauce they use should be sold in bottles at the supermarket), the lobster croquet was refreshing, and the aged beef steak with foie and truffle sauce was delicious and cooked to perfection.

Water is a very pricey item in Europe. We ordered three bottles of water at 2.30 EUR or 2.60 USD each. We did get 30% off our bill! The server was friendly, patient, polite, and very warm. Some toothpicks were just holding things together -- I had to laugh at that -- but it's all part of the charm and experience. La Tasqueta was so good that we came back a few days later for another round, only to find it temporarily closed due to a plumbing issue. Sadly, we couldn't wait since we'd already hiked all over Montjuïc earlier that day. We tried another pintxo place down the block -- it was okay, but honestly, not even close to the same level. I was definitely right on the mark as all restaurants I've walked by before dinner wasn't as crowded as this. And this place had a line out the door. Pan con tomate (toasted bread with tomato spread) was done sooo right here because they used crisp brioche bread and the tomato spread had a nice balanced ratio of olive oil blended into it. The patatas bravas (brave potatoes) took me back to the first time I had this in 2018. Such good crisp skin, soft fluffiness and that aioli mayo signature sauce on top - I swear I feel they make their own sauce for this dish. Grilled octopus here is special as instead of a tentacle - you get a fatty piece with multiple cuts of the octopus. Even better just as you would get multiple pieces of fatty toro in an omakase. I just loved the ease of dining in Barcelona where you share small intricate flavored plates with a glass of wine to balance these dishes. It was a nice long but roomier restaurant in the back. Very deceptive to the eyes but in a good way. You get to see the chefs cook near you that makes you appreciate the work of art put into the food. The restaurant is separated into two main areas, with an earth-tone color scheme that has a rustic, almost cave-like aesthetic. The high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows keep the dining room open and spacious. The tapas menu had a good selection, and we decided on several items: pan con tomate, sweet potato rolls, chicken cannelloni, bacon-wrapped figs, croquettes, falafel, and a charcuterie board. All the tapas were great - my favorites were the chicken cannelloni, pan con tomate, and the charcuterie board. The cannelloni especially was a standout - definitely a unique dish, and the chicken was super flavorful. We opted for dessert, and got the feta whip cheesecake - this was great as well. The combination of tang and sweet was a good finisher to our meal. Service was great - everyone was friendly and our dishes were served at a good pace.
