We came for the flambéed steak and we're not disappointed. From the drinks to the food, everything was delicious! Servers were friendly and food came quickly. There was plenty of seating inside. The Germain Spritz were delicious and HUGE! Salad was fresh and the Croquetas were great. Honestly we didn't have anything we didn't like. Check this place out! read more

Stumbled upon this place while looking for a dinner spot. The service was great! We enjoyed their patatas bravas and tomate bread to start. The burger was delicious but our favorite dishes were the Aged beef tagliata (perfectly cooked) and my personal favorite meal of my trip the tuna takaki!!! It cooked to a perfect sear and the avocado side paired so well with- amazing!!!! Super delish meal. read more

Food is delicious. We had the steak and the rocket arugula salad. Superb! Hard to find a restaurant that makes a great healthy salad. For dessert we had the chocolate with bread, olive oil, and salt... it wasn't what we were expecting but if you love dark chocolate and not overly sweet then you will like it! Our waiter was so friendly and spoke good English too. Super cute restaurant inside and out. Would definitely go back to try their other dishes. read more

Started off Barcelona with an amazing meal at a "Lokal" bar. Ordered their sangria (pitcher) and it was absolutely fantastic. The server mentioned they blended 4 different wines to get the right flavour and it was the best I've ever had! We had their calamari which was good and their chicken croquettes were delicious. The stand out dish was their hummus! It was silky smooth and so flavourful. I'm not usually a fan but I could definitely have this all the time. The last dish (also a must-order) is their oxtail. Wow! Crunchy on the outside with a beautifully seasoned sauce. I will definitely come back here again for the sangria and these dishes! read more

Quick walk from our hotel. Very good tapas. Seated quickly and service was excellent.

We came here for lunch on our first day in Barcelona, because the food looked good and it was conveniently located within walking distance of our hotel. We ordered the Aged Beef Tagliata, Spanish Omelette, Roasted Chicken Croquette. The Spanish Omelette was good, but not our favorite as it was a little heavy with potatoes and had the slightest fishy taste to it. The croquettes were delicious and surprisingly had a ton of chicken in them. What really blew our minds was the beef! First of all, it was served with a table side show where our server used a torch to lightly roast the beef and shishito peppers! The beef was extremely tender and had the perfect charred flavor. The potatoes that it came with were also nicely roasted. Definitely deserved more reviews! This place was great and the service was good. read more

Yes!!!!!!! This was the most amazing restaurant we dined at in Barcelona! The steak came out on fire! But yet was so rare and perfectly cooked. Every. Single. Dish. Was. Amazing. I could go on and on about this place. The quaint vibe, having the restaurant nearly to ourselves because we dined early, the excellent service. Literally everything about this place was amazing and my only regret is that I didn't review it the day we went. I have told so many people about this restaurant and if I make it back to Barcelona, this will be our first stop! I also highly recommend the duck. It's pretty hard to get a great salad in Barcelona so definitely try every salad on the menu! We did read more

While hungry, I came across Lokal Bar. However, they were closing for siesta so I had to come back later for dinner. When I came back, I was told another 20 minute wait because they were full with reservations. Disappointed, I wandered around pondering about what I wanted to eat. After 20 minutes, I gave up & went back. I have no regrets in waiting. The food was FANTASTIC. I ordered the calamari as an appetizer and the aged beef tagliata as my main (yes, I was extremely hungry). My server torched the rosemary in the beef dish in front of me! It was a great little show AND it added so much flavor just torching the herb! I loved every single bite that I had that night. Is Lokal worth the trip? Most definitely yes! Please do come visit & make reservations when in Barcelona! read more

Casual. Friendly. Well priced food and drinks. Food was delicious. Lovely presentation of beef tagliatelle. Highly recommend.

Omg.... the aged beef tagliata here is amazing (see picture). By far our favorite meal during our trip to Barcelona; we cannot recommend the dish enough. The pieces of steak were so tender, and the flavors were amazing! The angry octopus was good too, but the steak... just phenomal. You won't regret it. read more

If you're in Barca then this is a must add to your list. This place was hands down a better experience than the city's most sought after spot--disfrutar (but also try this if possible). Yes, it's that good. 4 cocktails, 4 tapas, and a main came in at about €80. An incredible price for an amazing meal! Don't leave without trying the aged beef taglia, chicken croquettes, and marinated anchovies. Get some bread to soak up the olive oil that comes with the anchovies. You'd be a fool to not order the hazelnut espresso martini, just ask their incredible bartender for this variation 6/5 read more

Fyi, you do need to make a reservation. They turned us away. Even though there was no mention to do so. Bummer.

Incredible! Probably the best restaurant I've ever been to. Octopus was flavorful, Steak was magnificent, best, fresh calamari. I hate anchovies and I ate those as well. We came to Lokal during the pandemic, when other places simply shut down, or were limping along on a skeleton crew. At Lokal the food was excellent, the ambience was lovely, and our waiter was charming. We would have stayed all night. There were some goofy cocktails, like "alien brain splitter" and "sex a la Playa" made for young, drunk tourists. But the Ox Tail, I really miss her, so pretty and clever and delicious - we could have dated. read more

We went the night before and it was packed. Gentleman asked if we could book reservation for next night. We did and were the first ones there. Their menu is in Spanish and English which sure helps Waiter and owner both speak English. What an experience ! Never before had a mojito and they recommended the Lokal mojito. So good I had to have two ! Then the meal came the age beef was spectacular and the presentation made it even better. Others had the duck and the pork cheek was very tasty and tender. Hundred percent recommend all the meals. Wish we had another evening so we could go back and sample more ! read more
