Excellent neighborhood restaurant. Attentive staff. The rocket salad, patatas bravas, steak tagliata, beef gazpacho, and chicken croquet were all excellent as was the red sangria. Would come back in a second.

I started my sangria then thought "wow, this might be the best sangria I've ever had." Then I had the potatoes and thought whoa, these are phenomenal. Then I ate the burger and almost cried. Don't pass this place up!!

Started off Barcelona with an amazing meal at a "Lokal" bar. Ordered their sangria (pitcher) and it was absolutely fantastic. The server mentioned they blended 4 different wines to get the right flavour and it was the best I've ever had! We had their calamari which was good and their chicken croquettes were delicious. The stand out dish was their hummus! It was silky smooth and so flavourful. I'm not usually a fan but I could definitely have this all the time. The last dish (also a must-order) is their oxtail. Wow! Crunchy on the outside with a beautifully seasoned sauce. I will definitely come back here again for the sangria and these dishes!

A must if you're in Barcelona, great food and reasonable prices! Tuna Tataki with Guacamole is a must as well as the Aged Beef Tagliata. It will not disappoint

Loved this place, the food was creative, unique and delicious!!! I would definitely recommend, I ordered the pear salad and octopus with potato puree. Both were beautiful!

We came here for lunch on our first day in Barcelona, because the food looked good and it was conveniently located within walking distance of our hotel. We ordered the Aged Beef Tagliata, Spanish Omelette, Roasted Chicken Croquette. The Spanish Omelette was good, but not our favorite as it was a little heavy with potatoes and had the slightest fishy taste to it. The croquettes were delicious and surprisingly had a ton of chicken in them. What really blew our minds was the beef! First of all, it was served with a table side show where our server used a torch to lightly roast the beef and shishito peppers! The beef was extremely tender and had the perfect charred flavor. The potatoes that it came with were also nicely roasted. Definitely deserved more reviews! This place was great and the service was good.

Yes!!!!!!! This was the most amazing restaurant we dined at in Barcelona! The steak came out on fire! But yet was so rare and perfectly cooked. Every. Single. Dish. Was. Amazing. I could go on and on about this place. The quaint vibe, having the restaurant nearly to ourselves because we dined early, the excellent service. Literally everything about this place was amazing and my only regret is that I didn't review it the day we went. I have told so many people about this restaurant and if I make it back to Barcelona, this will be our first stop! I also highly recommend the duck. It's pretty hard to get a great salad in Barcelona so definitely try every salad on the menu! We did

Beautiful place, amazing service. I had fried octopus, roasted peppers, oxtail, and Camembert and pear salad. Everything was perfect. Planning to return soon to try the flaming beef dish.

Omg.... the aged beef tagliata here is amazing (see picture). By far our favorite meal during our trip to Barcelona; we cannot recommend the dish enough. The pieces of steak were so tender, and the flavors were amazing! The angry octopus was good too, but the steak... just phenomal. You won't regret it.

We were a little concerned with the menu when we first sat down, but everything was very good and the service was friendly. Would definitely eat here again.

This was recommended by friends awhile back, I remembered the modern ambiance, amazing Tapas, friendly service and the place was as busy then until now. For this big restaurant caliber, it's pretty crowded yet they do a good job with a fast turnaround. We did the early Dinner and by the time we got out there was already a long line for late Diners. The fact that even after a decade, it's rare that I go back to the same spot let alone they're still around after all these years. You already know that tells a lot and I feel bad for those who didn't have the same great experience, hope they give it another shot. See y'all soon! Salut, Vermouth!

My son had been here last year and thought, it was a solid. We put our name in, went to a nearby park bench to wait and watch people for 50 minutes. The servers outside are grumpy as to many people are crowding the sidewalk and impeding his service. Finally, our name was called, were seated at the bar, and watched a chef make the magic dishes. The menu is huge and I can't help but watch the delicious dishes flying by us. So little time and yet so many great choices, this won't be easy. We began with the beef tenderloin montadito foie gras. It was presented as a open face sandwich on a bagette. We split it as it had a huge piece of foie gras. The tenderloin was tough and the tapas tasted like indivdual components, not a blended or refined profile. The grilled razor clams were nicely cooked, slightly gritty and needed to be washed more thoroughly. The Spanish omelet wedge was spiritual, dish of the night award. The onion made the dish! The sliced fried artichoke was finely shaved, and again lacked a enjoyable flavor that I would order again. The chips with fried eggs and Jabugo ham was different, tasty and a concept I would not of thought about. Delicious! Casveseria Catalanahe was packed and stacked for a reason. A high vibe and energy even in the face of a revolt at the check in desk from hungry dinners. I came say without hesitation, we will give them a second try. The staff was friendly, engaging, warm and a good sense of humor, nothing but smiles. I can't wait for our next trip to Cerveseria Catalana and let them tell me what to order. Good luck and see you sooner than later.

We were happy to enter the cozy La Alcoba Azul and seated by a smiling host immediately & presented with menus. The interior looks almost like a wine cellar with brick vaulted ceilings. The offerings are best described as fusion tapas but there are a few traditional bites as well. Our waiter presented us with an amuse bouché of pumpkin hummus topped with roasted pepitas on an herbed toasted baguette crisp. DELICIOUS! We confidently ordered the tomato tartare with avocado cream, basil, olive powder and rosemary olive oil caviar as well as a half order of cured Iberican meats featuring chorizo, loin, sausage and ham, an order of the hummus with black olives, parsley, pine nuts and pita triangles. All were terrific! We especially enjoyed the meats and tomato tartare. I enjoyed a red sangria that was satisfying and happened to be topped with cinnamon...a first and welcome addition for me. La Alcoba Azul is a spot we'll keep on our tapas go to list! You shouldn't hesitate to visit.

The menu descriptions were a little vague, so we took a few stabs in the dark. The eggplant dish we ordered ended up being my favorite, and the hummus with lamb was also very good. I usually love olives, but these did not hit for me. They were a bit too dry and firm, so buyer beware if you are picky about olives. All in all, a charming spot for a romantic vacation dinner.
