This was first paella we tasted in Barcelona . The place was secluded but very very quiet place to savor your meal. It was a little pricey and less serving. The food were so good . It was my second best compared to Guelle Tapas we went after.

Came here after feeling overstimulated by the Mercado De La Boqueria and it was just alright. Sat at the bar and service was prompt and friendly enough, but the paella I had was disappointing. It looked great as far as presentation goes, but the rice was really undercooked, to the point of being crunchy. The shrimp was a little dry as well. This was my first paella upon arriving in Barcelona so I actually thought oh, maybe this is just how they do it here. I then went on to learn I was wrong - paella rice shouldn't have a crunch to it. Maybe I came on an off night? I was there around dinner time and the place was pretty empty. I was surprised at my experience given how many positive reviews this place had. This paella was also the most expensive that I had while in Barcelona. I don't know, I'd say to skip this spot based on my experience.

Looking for a dinner spot and checking Yelp, we found this awesome looking place. The interior of the location with its exposed beams and bricks is like taking a trip back in time. We were lucky and able to walk in for a table. The service was friendly and quick. The menu has many great options and we selected a couple starters and drink. The sangria was very tasty and the beer was cold just like I like it. We order the seafood paella for two and it does take 15-20 minutes to prepare. Ours came out perfect. I highly recommend this restaurant for the food and service. Enjoy!

EXCELLENT food and service. I can't say enough good things. The squid croquettes were unique, def a tasty spin on a classic. The vegetable paella was excellent. Loved the creme de Catalonia dessert.

The drinks and wine are spectacular. Isabella is knowledgeable and sweet. Awesome service and a cool vibe with history. A fun space to hang and relax!

OMG! The appetizer fried calamari was awesome! We passed by this restaurant our first night in Barcelona. The ambience was intriguing, It looked so great we just wanted to eat there. It did not disappoint. We had the chicken and vegetable paella along with Sangria. Yummmm!

Absolutely 10/10. Service was impeccable. We could see the chef in the back making the seafood paella. It took 20 minutes, but was very very worth it. Fair price as well! Ambiance was excellent, good vibe and good music. 100% recommend.

The food was phenomenal, atmosphere was cute and the service was the best I experienced in Barcelona . I think this is a most try and prices are fair, 3 euros for a glass a wine is a deal to me Must try chorizo de diablo

Wandered into Mino's as we were exploring the historic Gothic Quarter. No advance research, no Yelp previewing, or inquiries with the hotel concierge. Just a hungry Hubby desiring tapas, so we landed here. The quaint ambiance in this old brick walled building lured us in. We tried the Bacalau Croquettes, the Tomato Toast, and the Pork Shoulder. All were ok, but nothing special to speak of, though the Pork Shoulder was too salty for me. In fact, it was as salty as all the jamon I've having in Barcelona that I thought at first that it was jamon! The food was sustenance when we needed it, and it was fine. Not a place to bookmark, or necessarily return to, but the staff was well versed in English and pleasant. Just an ordinary tapas lunch.

    Seafood paella.. for 1!!!!!

Yummmmm!!! Favorite meal this month! This place was so yumm. The girl that was working here made it even better. I came here last week: right before the corona virus craziness reach Spain. It was very very busy!! Made it here at opening and luckily, I didn't have to wait. I believe it was like 5:30 pm? Or 6? I eat dinners early since I also get up at 4 am. I was starving. Food: they make it as you order. Apart from the olives, nothing is readymade. So it takes a little time. It's also the only spot in the area that has paella for 1!!! Drinks: BlackBerry mojito: it was recommended! But I ended up didn't liking it. Super pungent/ sour for my taste. And my server/ waitress got me 2 new drinks! Yey! You're cool. Sangrias! I like both the red and the white! I'm not a huge drinker. And they each came in massive goblets! Can't finish it. But you get your money's worth!! Started with free olives: yumm. The patata bombas! That was so good. It's like a potato bomb stuffed with meat. Spice sauce on top! The calamari: fried! Light and good. The best! Langostines! Ala plancha. I love grilled seafood with shells on. Brings out so much flavors. This was all that and so much more. Simple and tasty. My favorite! And the most popular dish: seafood paella with squid ink. So much seafood! Langostine, clams, mussels, squid. A little salty for my taste but I still loved it. Best meal this month. Coming back for sure!

We were ready for dinner after walking and exploring Plaça Catalunya & Ramblas. Mino is located on one of the side streets and if you didn't know it was there you might miss it. We arrived around 8 and it was empty. Ah, but wait, this is Barcelona where dinner starts no earlier than 9 so we had the place to ourselves for an hour:) We started with a couple of Tapas. Our server recommended two as we are going to have Paella. Chiperones Andaluza (Fried Squid) & Patata Bomba (stuffed potato with meat). The Squid was fried to perfection and the Bomba was very tasty. Now for the Paella-we ordered two (for three people) based on our server's advice and this was just the right amount. We got the seafood variety (pork is the other one). The seasoned rice with clams, mussels and baby lobster was perfect! We also ordered some Sangria which was on the sweeter side and all enjoyed. Our server was awesome! Actually the entire staff was awesome! Really liked the way they've decorated and designed the restaurant. Will be back!

I loved finding this restaurant in the gothic quarter. I like the layout of it--very romantic and quiet. Our waitress was also very helpful and kind! We ordered the patatas bravas and the mixed paella. The bravas were so good--i forgot to take a picture of them! I had only realized it after we finished the whole plate! The paella was also amazing, a little too salty for me but the seafood in the rice balanced it out.

    Big glass of Sangria please!
    Amanda S.

We had the Paella, skirt steak and cold cuts. The cold cuts were cut right off this huge leg that was sitting near the entrance. Excellent! Perfectly fatty and savory. The steak was cooked well although there wasn't anything specifically special about it. The Paella was really tasty. We asked for a lemon because --- seafood! And it was heavenly. There was only a bit of crunchy bits on the bottom so better to ask for crisp if you like that stuff. (I do!) Lovely place to go to dinner! The server was very friendly and helpful as well so we had a great night. Pro tip: The glass of Sangria is pretty big for 4 euros! Get it!

This was recommended by friends awhile back, I remembered the modern ambiance, amazing Tapas, friendly service and the place was as busy then until now. For this big restaurant caliber, it's pretty crowded yet they do a good job with a fast turnaround. We did the early Dinner and by the time we got out there was already a long line for late Diners. The fact that even after a decade, it's rare that I go back to the same spot let alone they're still around after all these years. You already know that tells a lot and I feel bad for those who didn't have the same great experience, hope they give it another shot. See y'all soon! Salut, Vermouth!

My son had been here last year and thought, it was a solid. We put our name in, went to a nearby park bench to wait and watch people for 50 minutes. The servers outside are grumpy as to many people are crowding the sidewalk and impeding his service. Finally, our name was called, were seated at the bar, and watched a chef make the magic dishes. The menu is huge and I can't help but watch the delicious dishes flying by us. So little time and yet so many great choices, this won't be easy. We began with the beef tenderloin montadito foie gras. It was presented as a open face sandwich on a bagette. We split it as it had a huge piece of foie gras. The tenderloin was tough and the tapas tasted like indivdual components, not a blended or refined profile. The grilled razor clams were nicely cooked, slightly gritty and needed to be washed more thoroughly. The Spanish omelet wedge was spiritual, dish of the night award. The onion made the dish! The sliced fried artichoke was finely shaved, and again lacked a enjoyable flavor that I would order again. The chips with fried eggs and Jabugo ham was different, tasty and a concept I would not of thought about. Delicious! Casveseria Catalanahe was packed and stacked for a reason. A high vibe and energy even in the face of a revolt at the check in desk from hungry dinners. I came say without hesitation, we will give them a second try. The staff was friendly, engaging, warm and a good sense of humor, nothing but smiles. I can't wait for our next trip to Cerveseria Catalana and let them tell me what to order. Good luck and see you sooner than later.

We arrived just after lunch opening and were the first customers. The guy at the counter was... efficient. He simply told us to pick what we wanted, tossed it in a bin, and that was that. No explanation of pricing or preparation methods. When we asked how they'd cook it, he casually offered "fried or grilled." Obviously, we chose grilled--why fry fresh seafood? We picked two giant prawns, two octopus tentacles, and two fish (since hubby can't have shellfish). He asked if we wanted salad or soup--reviews hyped the soup, so we went with that. Then he handed us a receipt, told us we were order #3, and sent us to the bar. At the bar, we ordered two sangrias and a water. The bartender asked if we wanted bread and sauce. Sure, why not? We assumed they were included. Surprise! The tiny baguettes cost €0.50 each, and the mystery "house sauce" (a questionable mix of thousand island and horseradish) was an extra €1. We only realized the charge when we saw the total: €73. Oh well, too late now. Then came the food pickup experience--chaotic, to say the least. The server practically barked at us to bring our receipt, aggressively crossed off items, and handed over soups and octopus, crammed onto a greasy tray. No effort at plating, just food haphazardly dumped onto plates. The second round--grilled fish and prawns--was more of the same. Now, the verdict: Soup (5/5) - Delicious and reasonably priced at €6. Would order again. Bread & Sauce (0/5) - Not free, not worth it. Hard pass. Octopus (€31.80 for two tentacles, 1/5) - Overpriced, greasy, and drowning in molten salt. Basically, eating a sodium bomb. Grilled Fish (€10.50 & €8.50, 3/5) - Decent, but unnecessarily oily. Grilled Prawns (€5.59, 0/5) - Mushy, not fresh, and borderline inedible. Final thoughts? Not worth it. With so many incredible food spots in Barcelona, why waste your meal quota here? If you want quality seafood, go to Cervecería Catalana--we spent €5 more, but a meal a thousand times better. Spend wisely and eat like a king.

Two of us picked 5 types of seafood, a salad and a fish soup. We tried the sangria as our drinks. Everything is beyond fantastic! We would highly recommend this seafood gem to all our friends. Here are a few tips for the first timers: 1) The workers at the order area don't understand English well. We pointed at the seafood for ordering. 2) Recommended to have the fish soup over mixed salad as an appetizer. The fish soup is made with lots of fish and ginger; and it carries so much flavor. 3) The mussels are a must-have and are so cheap (Under 10 Euros for huge portions). It's recommended to prepare in two ways: white wine and tomato sauce 4) The La Paradeta sauce (I e. A green basil sauce) goes very well with shrimps and razor clams. 5) The fried calamari was so delicious and perfectly paired with drizzles of lemon juice. Yet, it's so expensive (24 Euros for a very small portion). It doesn't feel as worth it as compared to something like lobsters (29 Euros/single lobster). 6) I noticed many people ordered a bottle of wine instead of Sangria. Will need to try next time!
