    "Bo de Boqueria" Paella

The food was phenomenal. I had the "Bo de Boquería" Paella with Patatas Bravas, and both were the best I had on my entire trip to Spain. The people were very friendly, and the ambiance is also awesome.

Charred octopus was full of flavor as was tomato toast. Both seafood and chicken paella were perfect but the chicken paella actually had much more flavor with the chicken cooking in the dish.

I came here after hiking up Mt. Tibidabo. And I was hungry. Solo lunch which consisted of a pitcher of sangria, paella marisco (seafood paella), and the must-have pulpo (grilled octopus). I left satisfied and finished every bite, to the likely horror of my server. It was a relatively quiet place, though probably early for siesta when I went around noon. I enjoyed it though and give it two thumbs up.

Seafood paella for two is outstanding.

Excellent paella in the heart of the Gothic District in Barcelona. It is a little bit tucked away, but worth finding. There is plenty of seating, although it was fairly full the night we were there. Our service was excellent throughout, and the waiter made a number of very good wine recommendations. They also have a full bar in addition to an outstanding wine list.

Came based on other Yelp reviews. Great spot near our hotel. Just off the main drag, which made it less crazy touristy. I thought the outdoor seating, while normally appealing for me, was not nearly as atmospheric as the inside. Good service, yummy food. Decent sized paellas that were more shareable for two women that wanted other tapas, too. Excellent crema catalana! The sangria was also lovely. A win!

We stumbled upon this place per my bf's Google search of local dining in the area. We weren't staying near the Gothic Quarters, but we ventured 30 mins out because he was interested in scoping out some of the spots in this area (we also stayed for some nightlife). This restaurant itself is located in an alleyway, gave me NYC vibes forsure. My bf wanted to dine outside and get the full "Spain" experience, neither I, nor my friend were opposed to it... Little did we know that wasn't the best choice. We waited a few moments for the wait staff to set up a table for us, we ordered our food and in a matter of minutes did panhandlers come around and start soliciting us with their displays of live entertainment and public distraction. It was almost comical because it happened in rounds where one group would come in, then the next group would follow. Sadly, I take fault in that because I did end up giving some money to some acordian entertainers and when that happened and they left, many others followed suit. At one point, I was minding my own business, just eating my meal and some lady out of nowwhere comes close to my face (says not a word), but stares me down hard it spooked me to the point where all I said was, "no thank you". lol. Now I understand, this review is somewhat bias because this is not the restaurant's fault in any way shape or form and to our luck, all the tables inside were already taken as it was dinner hour and they were booked. However, the food did unfortunately end up being "just ok", despite being very hungry, we did have higher expectations, based on what we were comparing Spain to back home. I may be condemned for saying this, but I've had better paella back home in lil Rhody than I did at this particular establishment. Wasn't that it wasn't well executed, just flavor-wise and biasly, due to experience, it wasn't the absolute enjoyable time. Also, my friend's steak was very well done, despite being asked to have it medium well. (he kept shaking the table trying to cut it). Oh and also, there was a specific noodle dish that I wanted to order, based on one of the Google photos someone posted, I unfortunately lost the photo but described it as a noodle dish and sadly, it was not the same one I originally wanted to order. Again, not the waiter's fault either, but just a bummer. Didn't get the waiter's name, however, he was very nice and did inform me to not keep my purse on the table due to some incidences of sketchy people snatching them up. If i were in Spain anytime again, I probably would not choose this particular spot. However, I had phenomenal paella in Ibiza which made up for this lackluster experience.

I was in Barcelona for a little over 24 hours and I was really wanting to get the best possible Paella , I was checking out reviews and pictures and decided to go here. I'm happy I did because this place was so good!!! We started with some tapas; the patatas bravas and meatballs were very good, we also ordered the octopus and calamari, but that wasn't my favorite. For the main course we ordered a Seafood and chicken paella which was delicious, so happy I came here. The restaurants is very clean and cute inside. The staff was beyond welcoming and kind. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Chicken Croquettes, Chicken Strips, and Patatas Bravas were all amazing!

Amazing Service, stunning Food. Great for tourists visiting Barcelona, Spain as they speak many languages including English and Spanish and likely more. If you are looking for a quiet place just of the edge of Main Street than I would recommend Bo de Boqueria.

A little hole in the wall, a short walk down a side street. Great food!!! We started with the anchovies, wow. Then the calamari ("Roman style squid" on the menu), so tender. Seafood paella, most flavorful so far. Finished with garlic shrimp, and a Monchego cheese plate- Wonderful.

Solo diner. No reservation. Was offered a real table and not just the bar which I really appreciated. Seafood paella with noodles was delicious. Portions are good. I would eat here again.

Potato braves, sangria and 4 cheese pizza

Terrific place just off la rambla. Cozy inside. Staff was so friendly. The menu didn't have English translations but I knew enough to give things a try. The food was excellent and the portions were huge. I'm coming back for sure.

Good strong cocktails. So rare to find!

HIDDEN GEM that less than a minute away from this famous cheating market where tourists get fooled with low quality but very expensive food. We were welcomed by very friendly staff that made us feel like special guests. The food is simply delicious and SO MUCH BETTER than other crowded places on La Rambla. Cocktails are strong and good which is SO RARE to find. We are definitely coming back to try more items from the wide variety of their menu!

Convenient spot but really really touristy and the speed with which the paella was made was a bit suspect. Decent enough though.

Ziryab seemed to fit the bill, so we made plans to stop here during our first night in the city. Ziryab is located close to the Gothic Quarter, on side street. It's kind of inconspicuous from the outside, but the interior gives way to a really welcoming space. The restaurant is separated into two main areas, with an earth-tone color scheme that has a rustic, almost cave-like aesthetic. The high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows keep the dining room open and spacious. The tapas menu had a good selection, and we decided on several items: pan con tomate, sweet potato rolls, chicken cannelloni, bacon-wrapped figs, croquettes, falafel, and a charcuterie board. All the tapas were great - my favorites were the chicken cannelloni, pan con tomate, and the charcuterie board. The cannelloni especially was a standout - definitely a unique dish, and the chicken was super flavorful. We opted for dessert, and got the feta whip cheesecake - this was great as well. The combination of tang and sweet was a good finisher to our meal. Service was great - everyone was friendly and our dishes were served at a good pace. Overall, I'm glad I tried out Ziryab - the tapas were delicious and atypical of ones you find elsewhere in Barcelona. I would have no qualms returning here for another meal.

I had no idea how huge and elegant the restaurant was until I went inside to use the bathroom before leaving. We were there just after 7 pm so it wasn't as busy as I imagine it will get later, because in Barcelona, people don't have dinner until 9 or 10 PM. We ordered fresh salmon with dill, coroquetas de jamón iberico, a cod fritter, and chicken cannelloni with foie gras and black truffle sauce. We also ordered the pan with tomate, of course to soak up the truffle sauce. The cannelloni was amazing! I mean it melted in your mouth amazing!! After our snacks... We ordered dessert. We ordered their homemade Belgian chocolate ice cream, which is hands-down, the best chocolate ice cream I've ever eaten. And we also ordered their version of a crème brûlée called crema Catalonya! Both my son and I are very picky about Lebanese food having been spoiled by the excellent Lebanese in our home town Los Angeles, so we ordered with trepidation. It's done so right, juicy tangy, bursting with flavors and the pita in the salad is made into a curly flower and gives a delicious crunch. We liked the dish of garbanzo and yogurt a bit less, as it was quite heavy and lacked flavor. My son was very pleased with shish tavouk with chicken, and I loved my halloumi dish.
