First time ever and it was recommended by our dog walking friends. My husband and I consistently take our sweet pup to Twin Lakes for a swim or a long walk, and Avery is just right across the street. The long wait time- definitely helpful to use the "Join Waitlist" via Yelp, helped tremendously. We sat down outside and it was a lovely outdoor setting not only for our guests, for us, BUT OUR DOGS! This brewery is extremely dog friendly and I appreciated each and every waiter and waitress who gave into their "Stop working and pet me" look. The overall feel is amazing, however a knock on the star was our server. She was overtly annoyed when our party took a while to order, we had a friend who was technologically challenged and she came over twice before she had even looked at the menu because of the QR code. Instead of aiding us, she just rolled her eyes and said she would be back. However, the beer selection was awesome; we went with the Passion Fruit Beer- Liliokoi I believe. It had a nice taste and super delicious, would next time bring a growler. The food; since this was a spur in the moment and not knowing we would get seated we had eaten before. So we stuck with two snacks. We got the sweet potato tots and garlic fries. Absolutely loved the sweet potato tots with green chilis. The green chilis are NOT spicy, however a delicious flavor. However another knock was the garlic fried had NO sign of garlic whatsoever. Not even a single taste and were just plain. Not even good fries by themselves- would not get again. This place is great, their outdoor patio is one of my favorite places to go to on a nice day and drink great beer and eat amazing food. The only downfall is that this place is so good that everyone knows it and want to come here as well, so you may have a decent wait. I love the Avery IPA and their Coconut Porter is really good. Avery brewing is absolutely fantastic! Miscellaneous awesomeness: They have great outdoor seating options, and allow dogs outside too. Parking was very easy to find. They offer a self guided tour. Beer: just about everything we tried was amazing. We went on August 28th, and they had Oktoberfest on tap. It was smooth and refreshing! I love fruity beers, and tried the island rascal and electric sunshine.They were both so fruity and refreshing. We bought 6packs of each of those to take home. Food: I was so so surprised by how good the food was!! Usually brewery food isn't that good, but everything we got was very tasty. We shared the chips with salsa, guacamole, and queso. The salsa and guacamole were great! The salsa had a little bit of heat which I loved. Then I had the fried chicken sandwich. The chicken was juicy and very crispy! I loved it. My husband got the rib plate. He said the ribs and sides were very good. Overall, it's our favorite brewery that we have been to so far in Colorado. read more

Maybe, we went on an off day but the atmosphere did not have the best energy. There are a ton of beers on tap, which is neat. However, the bartender was really weird about letting me try a beer before I committed to it. Most breweries, do not care and actually help you decide what to order based on your preferences. I ended up going with the Ellie's Brown Ale. It's a beer I knew and typically enjoy at home out of a can. However, I was surprised that off the tap... it tasted flat and eh. Again, maybe we went on an off day. Just have to be honest with our experience. Great brewery and restaurant in Boulder Colorado. It's a huge place with an indoor and very expansive outdoor patio with plenty of seating. They have servers so it's essentially a restaurant. They have some great beer. We had the Hazyish IPA and the Avery IPA. Both were perfect to the style of IPA. They had a huge selection of their own brewed beer, something for everyone. For food we had a pretzel and Fried chicken Sammy: bacon, cheddar cheese, tomato, mixed greens, ranch on a brioche bun. Great portion, enough for two of us. Super friendly service, great beer, amazing chill and laid back atmosphere in the perfect Colorado weather. This place is a must visit if you are in the Boulder area or even Denver where we were staying. It was worth the trip. read more

The small size is large enough for me. The veggie tacos (lots of good veggie variety) w. chicken added or the brisket plate are also go tos. I like a leaner brisket & this doesn't disappoint. Love the fennel slaw & beans as sides. My hubby likes the chicken Sammie & fish & chips none are greasy. Fries are nice & garlicky so everyone has to have some. I travel every other week and try the best BBQ place around the country. This week, I was in Boulder Colorado again and I must say that so far, Colorado has been the most disappointing state for BBQ. I went with the 'Meat, Meat, Meat' entree. From worst to best: I've had amazing cornbread before. Some of it was so good, that I couldn't stop eating it. The jalapeno cornbread here was just so extremely dry, that it was barely edible. It's a shame. If you can't make proper cornbread, I'd recommend serving some butter with it. Nothing special about the sausage. The brisket was decent. Far from the best I had, but not bad at all. The ribs were quite delicious, but I really enjoyed the mustard BBQ sauce. Adding the whole grain mustard is a great idea. I can't speak for their beer or anything, but I wouldn't recommend going there for their BBQ. If you do, just get the ribs and BBQ sauce. read more

We were very confused as it seemed like we were in a business park area, but were pleasantly surprised when we saw the beautiful white and red building with Avery Brewery on it! There was a great outdoor area filled with people and dogs! They have a great indoor dining section as well. Food, I can't say enough good things! Everything came out very quickly, so no long waits even though there were a lot of people. The wings were one of the better wings I've ever had! What a fantastic place for any occasion! We came here on a Saturday afternoon and while it was busy, it wasn't overly crowded or so packed that we couldn't get a seat. Plus, the brewery is huge. They have a large, dog friendly patio area as well as ample indoor seating. Unfortunately the day we came, they were unable to serve us any draft beer due to lack of CO2 shipment. That was a bit of a bummer but we got some cans/bottles and was allowed to keep the koozies. The best part of this brewery, however, is that they serve food and delicious food at that. It is pretty difficult to find a brewery that also serves good food so when you do, you hold onto that gem. Would definitely recommend and return! read more

Legit: chunky. We all commented on it but it tasted okay so we ate it anyway and we all ended up with terrible digestive issues. For the sake of all Yelpers, I will refrain from divulging too many details but the only thing that we all shared at Avery was the nachos and queso and I've never seen chips do this to anyone. There's at least 30 beer options on tap and some are what they call "tap room rarity". This is a must-stop for anyone that loves beer. We are big craft beer fans and naturally we had to stop at Avery as we were passing through Boulder, CO. We sat upstairs at their upstairs seating which was nice since it was 100+ that day! They have A LOT of outdoor seating as well which looked awesome if it was cooler (lol). We ordered several samplers and tried probably 10-12 beers of varying styles. Every single beer we ordered was solid. From lagers, to IPAs, to their dark and boozy stouts. All were awesome! My favorites were the Maharaja, Stampede, and Uncle Jacobs. (Can't ever go wrong with Uncle Jacobs.... we ended up grabbing two bottles of Uncle Jacob's to go as well!) But wait, there's more! They have awesome food too! I ordered the chicken sandwich and the wife ordered the nachos. The food is high quality (a tad pricey.... but you get quality in return) and not just shitty bar food. First time at Avery Brewing on my way from Minnesota to see Gopher Buffalo collision. Walking up to Avery I couldn't help but notice the similarities to our Minnesota Surly Brewing. Huge space inside and out. Some might say it's a poor mans Surly, I'm not so sure. This is such a fun addition to the outskirts of Boulder. It's so huge, the first time I went here, I thought it was a winery! They have great outdoor space with games & ample chairs. Great multi-level indoor space. Excellent BBQ-based food, and lots of merch. Oh and of course, some world-famous beers including some prettyyyyy powerful heavy stouts. Fun! It's got it all for a full afternoon summer hang! I will say it gets pretty packed though, and last time I went it was tough to get a seat. I loved this place! It's a bit far from Boulder but worth it! We went in the winter but there looks like a lot of tables and outdoor space. The indoor seating areas are spacious-there are 2 floors. The food was flavorful and there were options for vegetarians. The Mac and cheese is delicious and the portions are big. You can order 5oz pours of beer so we got to try so many! While taking my motorcycle out I drove by Avery brewery. I was surprised as I had no idea it was where I found it. I pulled my bike up, hopped off and went right to the hostess. I was seated immediately, in a nice shady covered spot and the misters were running solid, it definitely kept everyone cool and relaxed. I ordered the stampede lager which was amazing and tasted great. I ordered the French fries garlic style and the salad. The French fries were ok but...not many. That's kind of a bummer for the price. The salad on the other hand was big for a small, tasted great and was overall well received. Ok, the bad. Or more so annoying. The waitress kept asking me, more than 6-7 times if I'm ordering food. I told her I'd like to sip my beer a bit and than I'll order. Each time I got a bit of an attitude. I'm pretty laid back but asking me to order food every 5 minutes is a bit much.
