Found out that my sprinkler system was not working last week. After checking a few sprinkler system possibilities, I narrowed it down to the well, which was installed 20+ years ago by Avellino Well & Pump, and has been trouble free up to this point. I contacted John and he scheduled me for the a service call the next day. John did a thorough check of the entire system, including the electrical system, the wiring, the pump, etc. It turns out the pump was fine, but the pressure tank and switch needed replacing. 7/6/2023 We found out that our well and sprinkler system were not working over the 4th of July. We contacted John at Avellino Well & Pump, and he immediately called us back and scheduled us for the next day. We were so happy , no lines, no waiting!! Talk about prompt and quick service!! He had installed the well in the 1990s and we have had minimal problems since then. John did a thorough check of the entire system, including the electrical system, the wiring, the pump, etc. It turns out, after many years, the pump needed replacement. John had the equipment on his truck and was able to replace the non-functioning equipment and complete the job. No waiting to reschedule, one and done. Avellino Well and Pump drilled our well in 2001. It has worked extremely well for 22 years. Just recently, our well stopped working. It tripped the circuit breaker and continued to trip when I tried to reset. Since Avellino originally installed our well, I called them to help me with our well problem. I left a message and John, the owner, called back very quickly. He came out the next day, assessed the problem, and fully demonstrated what was happening. It turns out the motor had failed. John suggested replacing both the motor and pump since both were over 22 years old. It made sense to me. John did the change that same day. There was minimal mess, which he also cleaned up. John then started up my sprinkler system, and made sure it was working perfectly before he left. The price was reasonable. John installed an irrigation well for us in 2008 and replaced the pump last year. This year when we started the system, we didn't have enough pressure and flow to run the sprinklers. I contacted John by email on Sunday evening at 10:03 and got a response at 10:46. He came and fixed the problem on Monday afternoon. Horrible Service!! John is a liar, not professional and very rude. John (the owner) had put in the system to out house when it was built. As caring homeowners we kept the same company to service whenever we needed servicing because we didn't want other hands touching something they didn't built. He changed the pump when the pump failed and within 6 months he had to come back to change it again because the pump failed again. Then when the pressure was acting up soon after he replaced the pump, I called him to let him know of the issue because we didn't want the pump to fail again. When I called him he didn't answer the calls nor respond to the messages. I caught him once and then he responded that he was on vacation which is fine. Then I called him a few more times urging him to come and take a look as the tank and the pump was working all the time instead of steady work the tank was filling up and then emptying consistently. My husband took the initiative to look up some information online to see what was causing this. While he didn't find why this was happening he found out that this is the main reason why the pump would fail since it's overworking. John not only refused to come and service the issue but when I told my husband loomed this up and this seems to be the issue, he replied. Since your husband knows so much "he should come and work for my company." Absolutely rude and arrogant. John replied just like a thug. Then we reached out to another coupe of companies and they both were surprised to see the tank size that John had installed on the system altogetherZ they both indicated that the size of the tank (2 gallons) is not the right size and that is causing the pump to overwork and eventually fail. I ended up hiring one of the guys who was very professional and a very good price. In any case stay away form Avellino Well and Pump. We had an emergency on a Sunday afternoon -- the pressure tank for our well-water system failed. This meant we had no water in the house. We called lots of 24-hour wll service companies, and none even answered the phone or returned the call! John answered the phone and was immediately able to offer some help and guidance. Unfortunately, the tank needed to be replaced in order to fix the system -- and there is no where to get a tank on a Sunday afternoon. So, John came on Monday and fixed everything, cleaned it all up and was very nice about it. It cost a LOT of money, but I think that is just the nature of the business (and the tank was the super expensive part, his labor was minimal). We will definitely use Avellino Well & Pump for all of our well-system needs and highly recommend him and his company!!!! read more
