I was out shopping for another car and came across this company. They do auto leases but it is different from other dealerships. You only lease a car for 6 months which is great if you don't want a long term commitment. Their lease program is very different. They offer you way more mileage than what the dealership offers. Also maintenance and cost is automatically covered under their contract. After deciding on a car, I noticed the car had no tint and no backup camera which I thought it was strange for a 2017 vehicle. Not a deal breaker but I like using the camera for blind spots and any cars, pedestrians who might be passing by while I backup. The owner was in that day and told my salesperson if I wanted the car they would offer to tint the car and install a backup camera at no additional cost. I thought, that is amazing! After their stellar performance they asked me if I could help them out by writing a review on cars.com. I said sure, no problem in which I gave them 5 stars. Now, 3 months later the honeymoon phase is gone. The reason for my 1 star review is for reliability. They also suckered me into thinking their customer service and values were the best on the island. Second time I've tried visiting this business. I specifically made an appointment and the sales agent was enthusiastic enough to communicate over text, which is a very good practice these days in business. However, once I arrived even though I could communicate with the representative over text, he still forward it me to the front office, or I had to stand there for 10 minutes, waiting for someone to acknowledge my existence. Clearly, this representative must have over schedule himself, my time is valuable, and if somebody is running late, they can easily tell me that they will need to push the appointment to a later time. When I finally told the representative that nobody was helping me, and that we had an appointment, he responded with "got it, thanks for stopping by." This is the second time I've sat in this show room, waiting. The first time was after test driving a car, I sat for 45 minutes. Waiting to hear from somebody that would eventually look at the problem on the car. No one inside to help me, so I just walked out and left. I purchased a 2017 Corvette in July 2024. The due bill required them to replace the infotainment system, which was broken. It is now April 29, 2025 and it is not repaired. They sent it to their third-party, uncertified technician, who tinkered with the car and never replaced the infotainment system. In fact, he has now cause an additional 20+ trouble codes to appear and the entire infotainment system does not work. The AC controls do not work. The entire dash has crazy intermittent problems. The charging system is killing batteries. Dennis, the service manager agreed to take it to JN Chevrolet to have the car repaired by a certified Corvette technician. I had to wait for 2 months for the technician. Then they had the car for 3 weeks. I was called to pick up the car and told "your car is ready." When I showed up to JN Chevrolet, no work had been done and not only was the car being held hostage because Autosource did not pay the bill, but Dennis refused the repairs. Now I have a non-operational car, which is breach of contract, and Autosource won't return my calls. I contacted Remi Braden, the owner, and demanded the car be immediately repaired. Same issue. He does not return my messages and is clearly looking to go to court for breach of contract and additional damages to my car caused by their uncertified technician. read more

LOCAL PEOPLE PLEASE READ!!! I recently reviewed the dealership and sales person, Noah and have a 5 star review. I want to retract that! I was originally please with the customer service I recieved at signing of the loan and was super happy with what the financial team was able to do for my family with getting our new truck - HOWEVER, I was promised a few things that ended up turning into a spiral of unfortunate let downs. I think it's obvious that the sales person needs to work on direct communication with financial/accounting team. The boss who makes his final presence needs to also be made aware of loose ends and deals made. There were too many little details falling through the cracks. After 3 weeks of waiting for someone to pick up my loan folder up from a desk, I got a call from another person in their financial department who has no idea about all my issues and was the most professional person I came into contact with! Granted - the dealership was able to give me credits and reimbursements for my troubles along the way and my loan is now finalized, but the moral of this review is to make everyone completely aware of how this whole thing could've been prevented. COMMUNICATION IS IMPORTANT. Have the local people (who are your main targeted customers) feel valued. Because word gets around! Oh! And I'd like to note that after all was said and done, my "salesperson" Noah didn't even have the decency to approach me with a formal apology or a thank you for my business. I would not recommend getting a car from here. We bought a used truck less then 13 months ago ( yes i know we take a risk buying used) and i asked will this truck last for the duration of our loan that we would take out to purchase. With no hesitation it was a YES. Well, we currently have a truck that is not drivable and we can't find anyone to really fix the problem. The turbo is leaking which nobody seems to want to touch, not even the Ford dealership and it sounds like we might need to get the engine replaced. Yes i said that right, we will probably have to shell out thousands to replace an engine on something we bought 13 months ago. We took our truck there and all they wanted to do was try and sell us a warranty in which reality wouldn't really work for us because it would require the truck to be driven a certain amount of miles and it's not drivable. I've called the dealership back twice now, both times the receptionist said someone would call me back and they haven't. But sure enough when i enter in my trucks info and inquire about selling it someone calls me within 5 minutes to get more info. They won't do anything to help us and now aren't responding. How do you sell someone a truck with a huge issue, which nobody on island seems to want to touch at this point, and do nothing to help them?!? It's really disappointing. BUYERS BEWARE... Bought a vehicle back in June of last year. I had my vehicle for less than 6 months and my car is back in the shop for a second time. About a month ago I was experiencing catastrophic mechanical issues with my transmission. I Went back to the dealership and was put in a loaner for 3 weeks. Got my car back and no repairs were done. They even said they found and fixed the issue but never disclosed what was wrong, if anything was broken or if they replaced anything. Now I'm in a loaner for a third time since buying the car. It is now 2022 and my lease is up (2 years). I renewed my lease early (4 months ago) and now, instead of $400 a month, they want $600 a month for the same type of car and value as when I first signed up. The worst part, they said I could stay in my $400 a month lease in my current 2016 Colorado. WTF?! This car has depreciated substantially (20,000 miles) to now (52,000) miles and is now 6 years old. They have a 1988 mustang convertible that is in good condition however, they have it advertised as having only 7,400 miles which is absolutely insane for a car that old and if someone was very enthusiastic about those cars but not very knowledgeable they definitely would buy it no questions asked. The issue is that the odometer has rolled back since it is a 5-slot odometer so when it reached 100,000 it flips to zero again and currently their odometer reads 07400 meaning the car is actually at 107,000 miles which is a significant difference from only 7 thousand miles. When I asked them about it they claimed to not have any idea what I was talking about and when they showed me the carfax they purposely passed the information where it says the odometer rolled back. Needless to say most salespeople will lie but if you are in the mood to get scammed then this is the place to go to. read more

I bought a 2018 Tesla model S from these guys almost 3 years ago. At first everything was great. They promised to wrap the car if I purchased it so I did. They couldn't get me in for about a week for the wrap so I took the car home. Car was in great condition, no damage. Then I brought the car in for the wrap and it was great, they did a good job on the wrap. Then yesterday I accidentally scratched the wrap so I decided to remove it (its been on almost 3 years now). When I did there was massive body done to the rear driver fender and rear bumper, all bondo, primer and sanding no paint. What the heck! So, either they damaged my car and did a hasty repair before the wrap or they swapped parts from another Tesla to save money on paint. Either way I got SCREWED! As someone who DID NOT buy a car from them, I do want to detail my experience. As I do in most of my reviews, I will break it down by section. Autosource is located on Ala Moana BLVD and has (2) lots. They are right across from the Mazda dealership and have a WIDE array of used vehicles, from lifted trucks to luxury. Their website is updated regularly (from what I gather), and someone is quick to contact you as soon as you inquire about a vehicle. They have a small team of sales people, financial advisors, and back end folk. Communication (4 star)- This is where they excel. From start to finish I was receiving timely text messages. Further, their financial guy (who I assume to also be a higher level manager), Rima, is VERY well versed. I have to give him props where deserved. He is a smooth talker and will tell you how things are, straight forward, no BS. The reason I dropped a star here is because, when I reached out to my sales guy, and informed him that I decided against the purchase, partly because the price was so set in stone, all communication stopped. No "thanks for your interest" or any response. I mean, not required, but a good business ethic. Location and hours (5 star)- The are conveniently right off Ala Moana BLVD. Cant miss them. They will also stay open later to assist you and their sales team will stay longer hours until you leave. Normal etiquette, but it doesnt go unnoticed. Friendliness (5 star)- Very nice people. Very personable. Negotiations (-- star)- They give very little negotiating power to the buyer. Using phrases like "its already priced below MSRP" or "thats the best price I can do" doesnt really seem reasonable on a used car lot. I was literally looking for some give to my pull, and to be honest, I would have bought the vehicle I was viewing. A car "already priced below MSRP" is never the concern of the buyer. I buy a new car every 3 to 4 years or so. Even on a brand NEW car, I am able to atleast get something taken off. But nonetheless, that is at the discretion of the dealership and therefore, my option is neutral. Presentation and availability (2 star)- I came in, as agreed upon, at 430. In the middle of traffic rush hour. I was speaking with an agent for 2 days in a row to plan to have the car ready to be viewed, set up a good time, etc. When I arrived, I was told that they needed to get the key and grab the car. I waited in the waiting room. After about 10 minutes, I was asked to sit at a table and go over numbers. You read that correctly, I hadnt even seen the car, but lets go over numbers. This was because the car was on another lot, and "was 7 minutes away." Great, Ill wait -- even though it was arranged that I was coming and any reasonable person would assume that the car would be ready to be viewed. Long story short, after all was said and done, they informed me that the car wasnt on any lot. I would need to come back on Monday to view the car, as it was sent to auction and needed to be pulled. They apologized for the miscommunication and explained that in this situation, the car should have been removed from their website as soon as it left the lot. Transparency (1-star)- I was trading in my vehicle. I was shown the "wholesale" price of my vehicle. When asked what that meant, I was told "this is what dealers will generally pay for a vehicle." Mind you, before this, I already checked Private Party and Trade in Values, and in addition, I asked for instant cash offers, just to see where my car is on the value meter. The wholesale pricing was under the Trade-in value, but higher than I was expecting to be offered (TBH). The issue here is that I know the MSRP of the used car I was interested in -- however, when asked what the wholesale value is on it, I was never shown this amount. Just "its higher than what we have it listed for" and then they proceeded to show me values of the vehicle that coincided with that statement, even after telling them that I wanted to see data from the same website they used to show me the value on my car. I was never shown any dollar amount specified as "wholesale." What they didnt know is that I remembered the website that they used to show me my wholesale value -- and I checked. Wholesale values were listed approximately 4-7k less than their asking price. Now, to be clear, I understand that dealers need to make a profit. However, if I buy that car and turn around 5 minutes later to sell it back to you, knowing that it is worth upto $7k less than it was 5 minutes ago, I believe, makes it unfair to value my vehicle at anything less than the "trade in value." Further, it told me that there was some wiggle room on the price. Its a shame that we couldnt come to an agreement. I really enjoyed the boys at Autosource. Unfortunately, I didnt feel as though my time and money was valued -- and that was the ultimate reason why I didnt sign an agreement. Do I think they are a good dealership -- yes. I did pretty well with learning how to drive a manual, but I didn't feel confident enough in my ability to take care of it and couldn't commit to buying it. Taeho, however, was very understanding and simply went through more listings to see what we could find. Thanks to Taeho's tenacity and devotion, I now have a car that makes me feel good every time I drive it. Before, I thought a car was just a necessary thing I had to have. I didn't fathom that I could fall in love with one. Taeho took the time to get to know me and found a vehicle that perfectly matched me, even with all of my requirements. My satisfaction was his number one priority and he really made me feel cared for every step of the way. Went there on Saturday to get our car appraised. We called back the sales person asking if we could do the transaction on Monday, he said he was off, but he would send us Rimas" info. We called the office instead and got an appointment for the next day (Tuesday) @ 10am. We were by the airport when my husband got a call saying they changed their mind and not interested. We took off if work for this, they had all day yesterday and the morning part of Tuesday to call us to say they changed their mind. My husband and I are so happy we purchased our car at Autosource! We visited 4 car dealerships the past month and we were left annoyed and frustrated because of the "salesy" style of trying to get us to buy a new, more expensive car even though we expressed the type of car AND budget we were looking for. As soon as we arrived at Autosource, Mr. Taeho Lee immediately greeted us with a warm welcome and showed us the two cars we were interested in. Not once did he try to sell us a "better", "newer" car. We decided on a 2004 Toyota 4 Runner. He made the car buying process a breeze! He was friendly, positive, and no pressure kind of guy. He even made the negotiation process easy. And we were even more happy when the owner, Rima, counteroffered by throwing a paint job! Say what?! I am not the kind to write a bad review but we had issues with this place from the beginning. My husband and I, while young, are still in our 20s and the salesmen that helped us was extremely condescending during the entire process. Then there was issues with the truck that needed to be fixed, an alignment, new tires, and a detail. We were told it would be a 1-2 day process which turned into a week with no detail and no alignment. My husband had to bring it to a shop himself to get the alignment done and received his truck still dirty on the inside and out. He then got the alignment and we thought that was the end of it, we were fine. Absolutely not. He was driving on the highway and his tire pressure started dropping rapidly, the service men that put the tires on didn't do it properly so we had to take it back to fix it. I still scheduled an appointment on a Tuesday and got matched up with my salesman Tae Ho His welcoming attitude and customer service changed my mind right away. I came in looking to trade in my truck for a SUV with third row seats due to a growing family. He related to me right away and mentioned he did the same thing a couple years ago. Tae Ho never made me feel uncomfortable like some salesman do by over pressuring you. Told him I still have to get my wife on board. He offered to even drive the vehicle to my house to have her see it. Two days later (Thursday) after thinking about it I came by with my wife to have her see it. But I still had to weigh my options buying brand new and used. Even then Tae Ho said "no worries, go look and see what they'll offer me for a brand new one". Next day (Friday) I came back, took it for a spin again. I even dealt with the owner Rima, and came up with some numbers which worked great for me. This is my second review with one star. I am doing it because I am just following up. Now I am certain that they never did put a new air-conditioning system in. That is the only thing I wanted to make sure that I had. They took our down payment and did not put it towards the car and it took us many months to get that rectified. The only reason they did anything was because we went to the Better Business Bureau. If you are having problems with them, may I suggest you go that route. These people are crooks and they will take advantage of you if you let them. People who are writing bad reviews they are telling the truth. You must believe them. read more

Dread and reluctance characterizes what I typically feel about negotiating when buying a car. My experience with Autosource in buying a car this week was sooooo opposite! Their customer service was excellent, they have really thought through the customer experience to make it a positive one. Everyone I dealt with from salesman to finance to "boss man" was courteous, fair, and I would even say charming. My last car purchase was a Lexus, and that dealership sets a high bar for customer service. Autosource met and perhaps even exceeds that bar, 5 stars for sure. I'm transitioning from a job that provided a company vehicle to one that doesn't so I needed to find a vehicle fairly quickly. I didn't want to spend too much money or waste time going from lot to lot to find a good deal. After visiting a few dealerships and not enjoying the experience, I decided to check out Autosource. I found a vehicle online, sent in a request to test drive it and showed up in my appointment date/time. I met with Kyle and he was friendly, straightforward, and didn't pressure us. I test drove the vehicle but ended up just buying a vehicle from my friend's elderly dad. Because I didn't end up purchasing at Autosource, I cannot comment about the financing, etc. or the after-purchase follow-up. What I was impressed with was the quick response to my initial contact, followup to my questions, and no-pressure customer service. If I ever need to purchase another vehicle, Autosource would be at the top of my list. read more

I had a hard time trying to sell my collector car that I bought brand new in 2005 online here in Hawaii - it was a 2005 Saleen Mustang S281 Black on Black - I had the vehicle for over 15 years but it was time to let it go-- I only drove it 13,500 miles in all these years and it was in like-new condition and I searched for consignment sales shops here in Honolulu and I found Autosource. I called Rima and he asked some questions about the car (he is very knowledgeable about all kinds of vehicles including classics and collectibles). I agreed to bring it down, Rima checked it out, test drove it asked me how much I'd like to clear, he said that should be doable - so i agreed to leave the car with Autosource. The customer service is excellent, the showroom is clean with lots of impressive vehicles in it and the staff was friendly and helpful. I tried on my own to sell my Saleen for a year now.... after just 2.5 weeks at Autosource Rima called me and said "Come pick up your check! Your Saleen is gone!" We tried to tradein our guilia and they offer a unreasonable low offer without looking carefully at our car. So I have no idea how they can keep runing their business with much higher price for their used cars compared to the rest dealers. read more
