Where to start?? Many of you could relate to this situation of purchasing a car and it breaking down. For almost 10 years I been chasing my dream on a Honda S2000 and I decided to look up dealers around my area who had some. So I started searching on March 9th and I found a total of 5 and like every car buyer i didn't know where to get it from, I was honestly scared to purchase another vehicle cause literally about 6 months ago I got myself a car from another dealer and not even 3 months later it broke down on me and the dealer turned me down when I needed help fixing it. After all the owner of the dealer said "we were friends and I could count on him" but didn't seem like that when I needed the help. I Spent a lot of money fixing that car and I mean a lot!!! I was stuck fixing it and paying for it when it didn't even work...... I'm honestly still scared to get another vehicle after that whole incident happened. But this is a Honda so that does make a big difference. Enough of that, so I just decided to submit applications to see if I would get approved. I did not unfortunately on 4 even Auto Republic due to already having one car loan and mid Credit but the salesman Angel was very eager to help me and kept me motivated and optimistic, he kept speaking to his manager Ivan and tried to see what we could do. We ended up needing a co-signer, it was then when I knew I was screwed cause I didn't have anyone who could and sure as hell mommy and daddy didn't help me on my first car so I just gave up. Angel told me what about your wife?? My wife has a part time and had 0 credit or so I thought. Turns out since I been adding her to all my credit cards as an authorized user I boosted her credit so much that it was just couple points below mine. So adding my wife to the contract with a a little more pay and credit to aid me I got approved. on March 10th which was this past Thursday. This location is like 1 hour from me and almost 2 from where I work. I decided to go down there right after work to inspect the car good and see where it lead me to, so we ended up showing a bit before closing time. Angel came out and we started talking, I test drove the car, inspected it, etc... No problem what so ever!!! I was happy but yet I thought about my previous buy and was honestly backing down.... I was stuck between accomplishing my dream and just turning back from fear. I spoke to my wife and she told me what are you doing just go for it this is all you've ever wanted and now your here babe. Good motivating words from the perfect wife. Brought my motivation back up and we went for it. Everything went smooth. The manager Ivan came out and we all started conversations. They are honestly great people. It's been 2 days since I've had the car and honestly no problems yet and I hope not. I do appreciate what they have done for me and I did like their customer service that it why tonight if everything goes well my brother will be going for a Cadillac. Now I hope they keep up this customer service like if I have any car issued or questions down the line..... BUYERS BEWARE!!. While I did get a fair deal on a truck I purchased from here there were many problems that could not be recognized even upon a pretty in depth initial inspection which tacked on unexpected expenses. I put a deposit on a truck to hold it so that I could drive in from out of town the next day. I asked the salesman (Bill) to note any and all dents/damage that the car had and send me photos, he did but only one. By the time I showed up the next day in the evening time the light was not conducive to seeing dents and give the truck a great body line inspection. It ended up having 3 pretty big dents right on body lines that I was able to see the next day in direct sunlight. But wait! It gets worse! This dealership, like most I'm sure, claims they thoroughly inspect their vehicles to insure they're good to go. Well after purchasing the truck and heading home, I was not even 100 miles away when the front drivers side fender well came loose and began to rub on the tire. Being that I was traveling through the grapevine on I-5 I could not immediately pull off the road which resulted in a completely destroyed fender well. Once off the road I inspected it to find it was missing a majority of the bolts that hold it in place, some inspection ehh? I contacted the salesman, Bill, and he told me to try and fix it. Fix it?! Half the fender was now missing and I was in the middle of nowhere! Now I know that this was an as is, no warranty purchase but come on! I paid top dollar for this truck and now they're just ignoring me completely. Shame on you Auto Republic. read more

I've had a terrible experience the last time I purchased a car from a dealership so I was really sketchy on doing it again. (I was traumatized by the horrible experience). But Auto Republic is definitely what they say they are. They are truly committed to helping their customers and at the end of the day they want their customers to be comfortable with what they are purchasing. I met with Lilly 2 weeks ago and saw an Infiniti that I liked, ended up purchasing it. Did a trade in that I still owed about $10k on, I put $3k down to cover what I owed on the previous car so I didn't even put anything down towards the new car and still got an amazing interest rate 15% less than my last one so I was super happy! I drove the car a few days and I wasn't happy at all. I explained to Lilly the issues and she told me what my options were. The same day I went over to Santa Ana location and drove off in a car that I absolutely loved and had no issues with. On top of that, I didn't even sign a cancelation agreement and there was no cooling off period and I already had the Infiniti for 4 days, and they STILL let me switch it for another car and I can honestly say I'm super happy that I found Lilly & Ivan, they worked with me and pulled a lot of strings for me. Ok, so I don't buy bunch of cars so I cannot call myself an expert on the subject. We had been looking to get a used Sequoia for some time and had visited about 10 dealers and test drove about 15 vehicles. Stumbled upon a Sequoia Platinum at this dealership so even though it was a little far, I thought it would be worth the trip. Let me just tell you, it was. There was a lot of great follow up and information from Stephanie our salesperson who was so relaxed and non high pressure during our transaction. We ended up trading in a vehicle that we were very happy with the trade we were offered, and got an SUV that is in excellent condition at a very good price. There was no pressure and no haggling. Would I have liked to have saved a couple more bucks? Sure, who wouldn't, but after what I had shopped I knew I got a great deal. My experience was SO/SO i test drove the car everything was well so I went ahead and did all the paperwork next week came back for it and it had a check engine light so I went ahead let them know they said it was because they pumped gas told me I should bring it back if it didn't go away Took it home 2 days later never went away took it to my mechanic he said it was 02 sensors that I should take it back because was worth 600$ But when I did all the paper work I didn't get any 30 day warranty they didn't want to give it to me . So they tried sliding off with that but my mechanic told me there's no way they could have sold that car and passed smog with what the cars computer is showing so I told them about that after one or two weeks of going and fourth they finally agreed to fix it . picked up the car heard a pulley noise I let them know about that on the spot about it . They were saying I was lucky I had gotten the check engine fixed so I didn't want to argue so I went ahead and fixed it myself and also a hose ripped and all this happened before my first car payment . Apparently my money was only good here when they were trying to get a weekend bonus. I went in on my first visit looking at an entirely different model than I ended up settling on. The manager offered me a deal and offered to throw in everything I was interested in. Since I hadn't done any research on that particular model, I said I would look around and come back. When I came back about a week later, it was a struggle just to get back to the point I left off with the manager and I had to plead for every little item that the manager had said "no problem" to throwing in (apparently the manager was unreachable because he just got on a plane) . The "sales guy" (if you could call him that) did not seem interested in selling me the car and even told me that the manager had offered me the great deal in an effort to reach their weekend bonus. I took the car and got it inspected, and even though it checked out OK, the sales guy's attitude was a complete turn-off, like I was begging him to let me give him my money (paying CASH!), I walked away from the deal because he refused to have any sort of discussion with me, said that the manager's numbers were "breaking even" and that was that. I refuse to believe that the number barked at me within 5 minutes of seeing a car was "breaking even" for the dealership, I guess he figured he could make more off some other sucker. I don't know whether I am grateful to have saved the money or wish that I had encountered a better sales person because it was a good deal on a car I'd be happy with. I'm sure this dealership is a good place to get low prices on used cars, just do your research before going in and don't let them bully you! And don't expect a joyful experience. read more

Cypress Motors is by far the worst place I have ever dealt with. In December of 2013 I purchased a Ford F150 from them and right off the bat I started having problems with them and the truck. Month one I had a problem with the throttle body and had to pay for it myself because they tried to send me to there mechanic who has a terrible rep. Month 2 have my ignition coil blow out. Month 3 I have my battery stop working. Month 4 transmission problems and was forced to surrender the vehicle. I was dealing with Nathan who was a terrible person who would do and say anything to sell you a car. I would call him about these problems and he would tell me it was my problem because I bought it. After I would still try and contact him and he would ignore my call and never call me back. After informing everyone about how terrible of a place this was I found out my uncle Danny Q who also purchased an F150 from them which was nothing but problems and forced him to continue to keep fixing it every month. This place is the worst dealership I have ever been to and DON'T recommend anyone to come here. read more

What can I say about Auto Republic. I bought about 3 cars from here. I must admit out of those vehicles. I was not happy with a recent vehicle I purchased nothing wrong with it mechanically just lost interest in it. I sent a email and Junior which is a manager at the store. First of all Angel was literally an angel, he tried all his best to help us get a good price on a car which we weren't real certain to buy. We went there to look at multiple cars, but they pushed us on buying only one rather than letting us look at more cars. After we had decided to think about other options of buying a car later because we weren't so sure about car after test driving it. Another sales woman named Stephanie, was very rude starting off by asking us why we didn't want the car, even when Angel knew what the reason was. She disrespected my parents by talking to bad about their credit score especially when it was 740 (which is pretty high), and she kept on insisting that we technically wasted their time, when literally the place was empty. We have bought cars before from CarMax and Lexus dealerships and we've never ever have been treated like this. I came in there from another dealer an hour earlier and was very clear that I wanted none of the "BS" and he totally understood. Decided to go check out a Camaro at this place and with in minutes I was already test driving the car and purchasing it thanks to Juan Martinez that made everything quick and simple and so far I haven't had any problems with the car, just make sure you read the contract carefully because I just noticed that I got an $250 optional vehicle cancellation fee added in to my contract when I had previously said that I didn't want it thru, update to my review I took my car to get my tires aligned because the weights where failing off when I bought it and when it got inspected it had so many problems that where being covered up like the front brake hubs, a leaking tire and a front collision that had not been informed to me with during the deal only the back end collision was and also had messed up routers that damaged the wheel bearings but not bore people with all the details I spent 2,500+ on fixing the car not very happy now after only having the car for 2weeks read more
