Mango sticky rice
Kris E.

I have only experienced their food via take out. I felt like there was a lack of transparency around pricing because I couldn't find a priced menu online and when I called in my order I wasn't given a total or told that there was a 4% card surcharge. So the base prices were higher, plus there was 4% on top. So I ended up paying $27.55 for a tofu appetizer and mango fried rice which seems excessive. The food was good, I don't have any complaints about that, I just wouldn't have placed the order if I had known that was going to be the price.

Party tray was very delicious!

If you're looking for delicious Thai food in Long Beach, Aura Thai is a must-try. We go to this place pretty often and recently ordered from them for my wife's birthday party as well and it was such a great experience. They just launched their new party tray menu, so we decided to give it a try and wow, it was a hit! Every single dish was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully prepared. Our guests kept asking where the food was from and everyone loved it. The portions were generous and perfect for hosting a group. Some of our favorites were the Pad Thai, Yellow Curry, Panang Curry, and the Thai BBQ Chicken, everything tasted good. The owner and the workers are genuinely kind, welcoming people who care about their customers. They made the ordering process easy and were very accommodating with details. We will definitely be ordering again and recommending Aura Thai to all our friends and family.

all the Thai lovers just quick one for lunch or dinner. This is the right place. Amazing flavors everything fresh and delicious quick customer service with a big smile frome Chris

The food here is not really authentic Thai. Ordered to go; the Thai Boat Noodle and Krapow Pork The Thai Boat Noodle Broth is sweet, no savory richness, no darkness, no blood. The Broth is pretty much translucent brown. The Krapow Pork; you'd expected to be ground meat as authentic as possible. They were slices of pork. Also they have Green Beans! Not authentic. Also upon bagging the, no utensils or napkins were provided, no sauces or condiments. The food was not edible, eventually tossed out.

I've been here so many times and it always hits! My favorites are the yellow curry, drunken noodles and satay chicken! It's right across a very busy pizza spot, I'm surprised they're not equally as busy! The family is nice as well and the ambiance is very calm and comfortable. I will be back again of course.

These people are thieves charged me $30 for egg rolls and spicy shrimp fried rice. The prices online are different (less expensive). You can look for yourself, I'm adding the receipt so that you could see what I'm talking about. Not only that, but the woman had the nerve to ask for a tip. We did not give her one because we already knew she was overcharging us. Then she purposely restarted the entire transaction and asked for tip again when we clearly told her we are not tipping because she is overcharging us. I don't know if she was the owner or just a worker but this is shady business. The sad part is we order food from this place all the time and I don't know if it's under new management or ownership now, but we have never been ripped off. Ps.. only 6 small shrimps in the rice order. SMH

Thai Iced Tea, Panang Curry, Orange Chicken, Drunken Noodles, Firecracker Wings
Louna N.

Firecracker wings was the favorite part of our meal that we ordered it twice because it was crispy and had good flavor. The chicken was tender and not dry. If you order medium spice, be prepared because it is spicy. The Orange chicken was crispy yet tangy--definitely helped that it came with rice or it would've been a very sour dish on its own. Drunken noodles kind of was disappointing because it wasn't as salty or flavorful as most places but highlight would be that they used really big/wide noodles. Friendly service. Ambiance is casual.

Yet another amazing trip to Aura Thai. Absolutely loved the yellow curry. It had a wonderful sweet yet spicy flavor to it. It was just what I was looking for on this day! The LARGE thai iced tea. Folks, it's served in a doggon vase. It is large lol Thanks Chris for a great lunch at your place

Delivery food ordered. Received Won Ton Soup, Curry Chicken, Pad Thai Noodles and Thai Ice Tea. All were delicious, no complaints. I gave this place 4 of 5 stars since I did not actually dine at this location. I was not able to experience the full vibe. Food is delicious which is all that mattered. Serving size is decent. Since the food was so good, I actually wanted more and was not satisfied by the serving size provided.

Goopy drunken noodles. I think the kitchen might be drunk.
Amy J.

This review is going to hurt. Because the customer service is 5/5. But the food is 1/5. 1 star for good flavoring. The rest is pretty bad. The drunken noodles were so stuck to each other it was just a pile of goop that formed to the plate. The only way to eat it was to cut up chunks of it at a time like it was jello. Although ordering it with meat, the dish was filled with veggies for more than half the space.

This place is horrible.. ordered pork prik king but I got chicken and they tried to lied that it was chicken.. I literally could tell the difference... I would never ordered from there again.. the fact that they tried to lied and keeps insisting it's not .. went I could tell it's chicken meat ..definitely will go else where!!! Again , came here three years ago ... left a review.. about how bad it was .. now 3 years later .. again .. I wanted to see if there's any changes .. or something.. wanted to try it again .. but definitely I'm done .. this place sucks!!

We tried this place for the first time and this has to be one of our favorites! The place is very clean with friendly service, but the food is amazing! We ordered the Tom Yum soup, crispy bok choy, spicy pad thai, chicken fried rice & the garlic shrimp noodles. Each of us had a different favorite dish but we loved them all. The table next to us ordered an entirely different selection of dishes and they loved it as well so we will be back to try some of their favorites. When we walked in, I immediately felt underdressed because the inside of the restaurant was decorated so nicely! The only slightly off-putting thing was how many flies there were because of the hot weather, but luckily the restaurant was prepared with little fans/propellers to keep them away from the food so it wasn't a problem while we were eating. We started with the crab rangoons, which we devoured. You can't go wrong with those and I'm glad they had it on their menu! For our mains, we tried the pad see ew and the panang curry. The pad see ew was great in flavor. I wish there were more veggies and that the beef was a bit less dry but it was not a big deal and still delicious. The panang curry was spicy and nutty. The tenderloin was the best part and practically melted in my mouth! Of course we got thai teas, which were very sweet. They were also huge and definitely shareable. Service was okay, we had to ask multiple times for certain things but they were busy so it is understandable. Definitely a great thai place for date night or plans with friends, but it seems to get pretty crowded so expect a wait! I'd probably come back to try more of their menu.

We came as a party of 6 after the Long Beach Marathon, and it seemed like they were understaffed. My friend mentioned that she had received better service on a previous visit, so hopefully this was just an off day. Still, there were quite a few things that could have been handled better. They only gave us one set of banchan, which I thought was insufficient for a party of 6, especially since several of the dishes we ordered also came with banchan. We had to ask for water, and we finished our initial sides pretty quickly while waiting for our food. When we asked for refills, we had to follow up twice. One of the female servers came across as unfriendly and made us feel like we were bothering her when we asked for more banchan. She didn't even stop or look at us when she responded, "Give me a minute." The male server was friendlier, but overall, the service remained slow, even when we were trying to get our bill and check out. There were also some order mix-ups. We were served the wrong dishes twice, and my friend specifically requested no onions, but that was overlooked as well. Between the long wait, missed requests, and lack of attentiveness, the experience felt pretty disorganized. FOOD: - Rib Eye Bulgogi: came with rice and banchan. The presentation was pretty cool, with the meat served on a bed of salt that was lit on fire! It helped keep the food warm, although it did make moving the meat around a little tricky. The bulgogi itself was very tender and flavorful, and we really enjoyed it. - Pork Belly Tofu Soup: good, but I wish it had more tofu. Either there wasn't enough, or it had broken down into smaller pieces, because I was hoping for more substantial chunks. - Rose Tteokbokki: creamy and delicious; but it's definitely a dish meant for sharing Overall, we were satisfied with the food, and I thought the portions were fairly priced. Unfortunately, the slow, disorganized, and occasionally unfriendly service took away from the experience and makes me feel a little hesitant to return.

I got two lunches out of it - very flavorful and filling without being too salty or oily, which is a plus. I knocked down one star because I also ordered an iced lemongrass tea and it tasted like pure sugar/syrup! The lemongrass flavor was still there, but it was wayyy too sweet. I could only drink half. Today I filled the rest of the cup with water and it was still too sweet. I'll have to ask if they make a sugar-free version, or if the sweetness level can be adjusted because I definitely do not feel great after drinking that, haha.

The only request from anybody was for Pad Thai, the most common dish at all Thai restaurants. I GPS my way over and order the food. I was Khao Soy on the menu and I don't see that at too many Thai places that I've been to, so I got an order of that with chicken. Of course, an order of Pad Thai, 2 orders since I have 5 hungry people to feed. Also, I ordered the Thai coconut soup, I think it's called Tom Kha with chicken. One more noodles dish was the Drunken Noodles, it's kinda like Chinese Chow Fun, but has a more spicy flavor and basil in it. The food was all pack and bagged for me to take back to the hotel. We used my room since I have a bigger room. We had plates and set ups for all five of us and we re-plated the food on the serving plates that came with the room. All the food was really tasty and everybody was happy not to have to leave the hotel. I heard compliments on the Pad Thai and the Coconut soup. Anyway, now about 3 months ago... we were here around lunchtime on a Saturday, cause we were in the area, and hadn't tried it yet. Service was great with one weight hiccup. We sat down and had water in front of us and our order taken basically immediately. Ordered a pad se ew, khao soi ($16 each for the entrees), and a large Thai tea ($7) to share. The pad ke mow and the Thai tea came out basically immediately. We'd already drunk all our water and had someone come back out to refill it, when the khao soi showed up about 15 minutes later with no mention of the delay. (We also got our check and paid quickly when we were done. Dunno what happened with the khao soi.) The Thai tea was great, and if you're sharing it with someone, 7 bucks is a great price for basically two Thai teas. The pad se ew - the first dish we always judge a Thai place on, being one of both of our favorite Thai dishes - was excellent. Great noodles, perfectly cooked and seasoned, with plenty of Chinese broccoli (I always like to call out the places that use inferior, wrong American broccoli instead, as was *not* the case here). 16 bucks, but that seems to be the going rate these days for Thai food (I remember when it was like half that much...), and you get a good portion. Good portion on the khao soi too. Wonderfully delicious crispy chicken, and a good amount of it. Great curry. Slightly too many crispy noodles, slightly not enough of the regular king - noodle-wise, just ok. In terms of khao soi, ST Noodle is definitely still the gold standard, with Thai District in 2nd. This could be 3rd, though. "Medium" spicy also wasn't very spicy - my wife liked it; I liked it a lot more after adding a bunch of chili sauce.

We tend to go with either their larb or papaya salad which both dish are quite tasty and flavorful. Spice level to your liking. This visit, the larb. Always served with a wedge of cabbage. The flavor is alway great and every bite, flavorful. Of course the only place that I alway get the boat noodles. I've had it at other places but this is my favorite in Long Beach. The broth is great and thick with all the meat. Chinese broccoli accompanied as well. It's comfort food and alway hits the spots. This time we've tried another dish that we've never had. The chili garlic fish with rice. We were informed that it would take about 15 minutes which was fine. Deep fried sole fillets with garlic and chili sauce served on top a bed of mixed salad. First off, there was loads of fish and it was quite tasty and the sauce, it was good. A dish that was quite tasty and great for sharing.
