It's very unassuming from the outside since it's in a strip mall but the inside makes you forget where you are. Cucumber salad was great. Chow mein & fried rice could do no wrong. It had a very good fresh orange flavor with a slight spice. We came in on a Tuesday night & it was empty so the service was fast. Staff were great & patient. Overall, we would come again & try a couple different protein options.

Definitely more of a Thai fusion spot instead of an authentic Thai food spot but so good!…read more For appetizers we got the chicken satay and the pork jerky. The chicken satay was to be expected nothing special but it was good, the pork jerky was phenomenal I've never had it before and really enjoyed it! The mains we got pad see ewe beef and the nutty chicken. Both were delicious and had good flavor! I will say that the spice levels here are pretty mild we got medium spicy but it was more like a between mild and medium spicy so if you like spice definitely ask for it! Portion sizes are pretty good here, the two of us had leftovers to take home! Thai tea presentation is super cute and unique! Flavor wise it's nothing special but presentation wise it's super cute w the popsicle and everything! Service was pretty fast we came in on a Saturday and only had to wait maybe 15 min for a table? We ordered everything at once and it all came really fast (ie: before we were even halfway through the appetizers the main entrees showed up). Waiters were overall pretty nice and did check on us a few times. Nice casual ambiance. Music choice is kind of interesting they were playing kpop when we were there. Overall I could see this being a great place to meetup w friends, maybe a cute place for a date given how cute the Thai tea presentation is. When we walked in, I immediately felt underdressed because the inside of the restaurant was decorated so nicely! The only slightly off-putting thing was how many flies there were because of the hot weather, but luckily the restaurant was prepared with little fans/propellers to keep them away from the food so it wasn't a problem while we were eating. We started with the crab rangoons, which we devoured. You can't go wrong with those and I'm glad they had it on their menu! For our mains, we tried the pad see ew and the panang curry. The pad see ew was great in flavor. I wish there were more veggies and that the beef was a bit less dry but it was not a big deal and still delicious. The panang curry was spicy and nutty. The tenderloin was the best part and practically melted in my mouth! Of course we got thai teas, which were very sweet. They were also huge and definitely shareable. Service was okay, we had to ask multiple times for certain things but they were busy so it is understandable. Definitely a great thai place for date night or plans with friends, but it seems to get pretty crowded so expect a wait! I'd probably come back to try more of their menu.

We were promptly seated with quick and friendly service. For food we split Soup dumplings (pork), pan fried dumplings (chicken) and dan mein noodles (short rib). I loved all of it but what stood out was the noodles. They weren't swimming in sauce, were loaded with meat and vegetables evenly and the portion size was definitely shareable. I'd never had soup dumplings before but it was a very pleasant new experience for me, they were balanced and savory. All in all it was a great experience, I recommend for an easy date, family or friend outing.

I wanted to find out if this spot was as good as I had remembered it. Unfortunately, that was not the case. I was practically disappointed by two out of the three dishes. Two of them that should've been the best. I'll start out with the Mongolian beef. There was plenty of meat and onions and green onions, but there was no kick to it, not the greatest flavor either. It was also a little watery, which was a major letdown for me. I was really looking forward to enjoying it with the white rice that came with it. Next up was the chicken chow mein. I was expecting to have long noodles in its to go box but when I was eating it, it was small noodle cuts. That was a bit shocking for me. It also didn't have a lot of great flavor, and again I was let down. I did get vegetable fried rice, because who could actually screw that up. It was the best dish out of the three. Not a ton of flavor in it but enough for me to actually enjoy it. I tried using the leftover chow mein by putting it in a skillet and adding a few spices and oils. It improved it just a little bit, but not enough. Clearly, I can't go back here. It's like they say: buy cheap get cheap.

She did not let me down as we walked in and noticed how truly authentic it was going to look. Chinese decor on the walls and boxes of restaurant supples in the corners. Just as it should be. The bonus was that they had a TV showing the NBA Finals when we arrived. Pretty nice touch and in the back of the restaurant so as not to distract everyone. We went with a couple of our favorite dishes to run along and the Chicken Lo Mein was pretty good. Crispy pieces of chicken and soft noodles and veggies to go with it. We chose to get Mongolian Beef and it was absolutely fantastic. Crispy celery, green onions and decent sized pieces of meat in a terrific sauce. I would love to try to replicate that. My wife wanted a shrimp dish so she ordered the honey walnut and it even looked good to me when they brought it. She loves egg rolls, so she got a four piece and said they were pretty good. My biggest wow of the visit was their vegetable fried rice. MY GOD. I dont know what they season or flavor it with, but every fork full of rice that i ate, it was this sense of flavor that reminded me of butter or something else. I really loved the sensation i experienced from this particular dish. I am really curious on what it actually is. I will definitely be ordering out or coming in for Chinese because that reminded of many other places that put out fantastic dishes.

The roast duck noodle soup was packed with duck meat which was tender and moist. Service was quick and efficient. Prices were reasonable. I was pleasantly surprised how good this restaurant was. Will definitely be back.

Anyway, now about 3 months ago... we were here around lunchtime on a Saturday, cause we were in the area, and hadn't tried it yet. Service was great with one weight hiccup. We sat down and had water in front of us and our order taken basically immediately. Ordered a pad se ew, khao soi ($16 each for the entrees), and a large Thai tea ($7) to share. The pad ke mow and the Thai tea came out basically immediately. We'd already drunk all our water and had someone come back out to refill it, when the khao soi showed up about 15 minutes later with no mention of the delay. (We also got our check and paid quickly when we were done. Dunno what happened with the khao soi.) The Thai tea was great, and if you're sharing it with someone, 7 bucks is a great price for basically two Thai teas. The pad se ew - the first dish we always judge a Thai place on, being one of both of our favorite Thai dishes - was excellent. Great noodles, perfectly cooked and seasoned, with plenty of Chinese broccoli (I always like to call out the places that use inferior, wrong American broccoli instead, as was *not* the case here). 16 bucks, but that seems to be the going rate these days for Thai food (I remember when it was like half that much...), and you get a good portion. Good portion on the khao soi too. Wonderfully delicious crispy chicken, and a good amount of it. Great curry. Slightly too many crispy noodles, slightly not enough of the regular king - noodle-wise, just ok. In terms of khao soi, ST Noodle is definitely still the gold standard, with Thai District in 2nd. This could be 3rd, though. "Medium" spicy also wasn't very spicy - my wife liked it; I liked it a lot more after adding a bunch of chili sauce.

We alway get seated pretty fast. The place isn't too big but decent in size with two sections available. Staff are alway so friendly and welcoming. That's a good sign and of course the food, another reason why we come here whenever we're in the area. I have my usual that's a must for me as I know what to expect. We tend to go with either their larb or papaya salad which both dish are quite tasty and flavorful. Spice level to your liking. This visit, the larb. Always served with a wedge of cabbage. The flavor is alway great and every bite, flavorful. Of course the only place that I alway get the boat noodles. I've had it at other places but this is my favorite in Long Beach. The broth is great and thick with all the meat. Chinese broccoli accompanied as well. It's comfort food and alway hits the spots. This time we've tried another dish that we've never had. The chili garlic fish with rice. We were informed that it would take about 15 minutes which was fine. Deep fried sole fillets with garlic and chili sauce served on top a bed of mixed salad. First off, there was loads of fish and it was quite tasty and the sauce, it was good. A dish that was quite tasty and great for sharing. The lunch special provides generous portions, with plenty to bring back. What really stood out, was how conscientious, attentive, and polite both the waitress and host were to us. As we were leaving, my wife asked the host if there had been a change in ownership or chef recently...he seemed puzzled, saying it's been the same for the past many years (family owned and operated). L17. General Tso's Chicken ($12.75) L18. Shredded Pork with Garlic Sauce ($12.75) L25. Shrimp with Snow Peas ($13.75) All the lunch specials come with choice of soup (egg drop or sweet and sour), egg roll, and choice of carb (steamed rice, fried rice, noodle). Since we ordered three dishes, got to try all of the additions. I liked both the soups. The egg roll was served hot out of the fryer, but had the typical mushy 'La Choy' frozen egg roll filling that I dislike. The noodles were more like spaghetti noodles than lo mein. The fried rice was simple, with just egg added (which was fine). As for the main dishes, all the ingredients and sauces were solid. The seafood dish came in a white sauce which was OK, but had plenty of shrimp, water chestnuts, and peas. The chicken dish was good since it was served fresh, with the typical food service provider dark meat chicken chunks. The garlic sauce in the shredded pork was good, and something we would get again in other dishes. The pork was all loin and would be a good base for other dishes as well.
