I'd never heard of timballo before, and from googling it appears theirs is quite a bit different than what you'd likely find elsewhere. Theirs is made primarily of risotto fried into a puck shape. It was really yummy and I'd definitely recommend. We the shared a pizza and pasta for the main course. We had a braised pork gnocchi for the pasta. It was solid, but probably my least favorite part of the meal. The gnocchi was very light and had more of a fall apart texture. The braised pork really overpowered any other flavors, and made it a bit of a one note dish We had a cambozola pizza with mushrooms and caramelized onions that was really good! Much less funky than I was expecting, but still a great flavor combination. There were quite a few intriguing pizza options, and you get much more quantity for a similar price than the pasta. I'll probably lean more in the pizza direction in the future For dessert we tried a few of the chocolate truffles which came highly recommended. I appreciate that they also gave some samples of a vanilla chai chocolate bark before we ordered dessert. The truffles were very rich and chocolatey, but the flavor notes were honestly hard to notice. I was particularly surprised that a white chocolate lemon truffle (still covered in non-white chocolate on the outside) was much more chocolatey than anything else I will also say that the service was some of the best I've experienced in Austin. Our server was super friendly, gave helpful recommendations, and was very on top of clearing our plates between courses.
