I think if you come here after 10am you will definitely be waiting up to 20 or more mins for a table. This little cafe has about maybe 10 tables? more or less, not to sure. Service was okay, and the tables are super close to one another. I was getting squished by the guy behind me and his chair. The chilaquiles were okay. The green salsa was a little watery for my liking, but the chips! Ah! They stayed super crispy which was amazing. I will say that the egg that came on-top of my chilaquiles were super charred but the egg white was also not cooked through? I couldnt eat it. the french toast definitely stole the show. The bread was incredibly soft and tasted like cinnamon and brown sugar. So delectable. They werent overly sweet either. Although i am giving it 4 stars, I wouldnt come back. The menu doesnt have much variety for my liking. plus it was on the pricer side. For two dishes we paid 40$ when we usually pay maybe 25 or 30 at other cafes. This place is a hole-in-the-wall! It's quite small, so come on a weekday if you want to try it out. It started getting busy around 12/12:30. I had the yogurt bowl which was really good! It's also VANILLA Greek yogurt which I was super happy with. Fruits are fresh, and the granola is scrumptious. I'm just not a fan of the raisins, but it's easy to eat around. My friend had the French toast which I wanted to take a bite out of. You can also get the French toast by itself and not as a combo!!! I will probably get that next time. My friends arrived ahead of me so they put their names down. We were a party of 3 and they turned away large parties. We happened to be there the weekend of BlizzCon so I didn't realize that they would be busy. Luckily, we had time to chit chat and we passed the time until they called our name. We were seated and ordered. I had the Chilaquiles with eggs over medium and a glass of OJ. My friends ordered other dishes and one came with pancakes for us to share a bite. The food came in after a short wait and the server was amicable. The decor is cute with notable quotations on the wall. The food was tasty but nothing memorable. There is very limited seating here. Maybe five or six tables. I have ordered the same exact item each time, because I always think of Atticus when I have a craving for chilaquiles. I have enjoyed their chilaquiles the most along with another place in Palm Springs, so far. I also choose the green sauce and choose sunny side up eggs for my egg type. I always opt out for adding meat, but you can chorizo, chicken, or steak for an upcharge. Steven has tried a scrambler, and has ordered the traditional bacon/eggs/potatoes/toast breakfast twice. They ask if you want no butter, or extra butter for your toast. They know what extra butter is. They put a TON of butter on your bread if you ask for extra. He has liked how they cook their eggs better than a lot of places. Service has always been very friendly and appreciative. Our second experience was quite slow but still friendly. There are a number of items I want to try still but I can't seem to deviate from the chilaquiles. Eventually I will force myself to try some sweet options, or the benedict, or a lunch sometime. I ordered the salsa verde chilaquiles with a side order of small pancakes, which you get 3 toppings. My husband ordered Benedict eggs with chorizo. Everything was tan bueno! The tortillas were a perfect amount of crunchy, the flavor was amazing! My husbands plate exceeded his expectations and he raved about the potatoes. The pancakes, mmmmm I didn't even need syrup for them! I choose the mixed berries and bananas. And they lightly sprinkle them with powered sugar. My goodness they melted in my mouth. I think it would have been better with plain Greek yogurt and honey drizzled on top, which was what I expected when I ordered. So I came in yesterday for brunch and it was my birthday! Only four of us as soon as we tried to open the door the female server abruptly tells us to sign in over there before walking in. Kind of felt rude at first but ok no problem we didn't see this sign in sheet because it's off to the other side we walked in from. Came in sat down and chose some great options like the chilaquiles, Wet Burrito, and two orders of small pancakes with toppings as well as some coffee. The food was really good, however the pancakes did come out not cooked on one set, so of course we asked for a remake. Server was extremely unfriendly and rude to our table the entire time. We tried to ask questions and she would respond "it's on the menu right there..." which is weird and unprofessional; especially if you aren't busy. Keep in mind a party of four automatically adds a 20% tip on your tab when your service is not even close to 20%. She's the reason this place would never be a 5 star. You could absolutely tell she was bothered by our table and acted really different for customers who looked more like her. This place serves crispy chips. The chicken was super dry white meat. The steak was so much tastier. You get two eggs any style on top. There's really no difference with the sauce. The green sauce was sour. The red sauce taste like, it's the exact same green sauce with a few drops of red sriracha for a spicy kick. The Benedict was soggy because it's drenched in salsa vice hollandaise. So I'm not used to soggy muffins. I should have picked ham instead of chorizo because it had its own flavors that didn't go right when combined. I had asked for no cotija and it came out with cotija so they had to make another dish. (Looking at other reviews for this item, I don't see their dishes drenched in salsa. Definitely not cool). The nephew got the pancake combo which comes with two small pancakes (actually looked like regular size), 1 egg and bacon but we substituted it for sausage patty. We got chocolate chip vice plain pancakes. I didn't try this but the mother was feeding the child and only ate the sausage. The eggs and most of the pancake left behind. The mother usually finishes the kids meal but she didn't. Which tells me the food isn't that great. The potatoes were wet like greasy. I should have asked for extra crispy. It's as if it was cooked in the same oil as everything else. The kitchen is out in the open for everyone to see so you can see the chef making your food. It's like a one man show doing everything. We came here for breakfast and it was really good. Definitely concur with other reviewers about how good the chilaquiles are. I got the red chilaquiles with chorizo and hot cafe de olla. The sauce on the chilaquiles had a lot of flavor and a slight kick of spice. The cafe de olla was a little too sweet for my taste and could've done with maybe a bit less piloncillo to bring out more of the flavor of the coffee but I still ended up having two cups. The staff were really nice and made sure to check on us often. And the cafe really has a cozy vibe. My chilaquiles were so good the red sauce was amazing, so good I was using it on the the roasted potatoes. I tried some of my daughters pancakes and they were so delicious. I went on a weekday (Friday morning). There was not a long wait and I was seated fairly quickly. My server (glasses and dark hair) was very friendly and accommodating. I asked to see some merch and he was enthusiastic to show me them. The red chilaquiles with chicken and scrambled eggs was very yummy. Usually chilaquiles can be overwhelming and heavy, but these didn't leave you feeling groggy afterwards. I think it might be because they use higher quality chips. In any case, I liked them.
