Attic Solutions staff are knowledgeable, reliable, and careful. I recommend them highly. One of our attic spaces looked like it appeared on a rat version of Air BnB, while the other two attics had evidence that rats had visited. In addition, the crawl space in our house had a deteriorating vapor barrier and signs of prior animal occupation. In a outbuilding, it was clear that all the floor insulation was damaged and needed replacement. Gabriel, the estimator, did a thorough review of each area and provided me with a detailed set of findings and recommendations for remediation. Several days later the work was completed in one day. Angel, the supervisor, laid out the work plan and kept me informed of the crew's progress. The crew covered our stairs with paper and plastic, and in a closet that provided access to one of the attic spaces, a temporary "clean room" was set up with floor to ceiling protection to protect items in the closet during the removal of old and installation of new insulation. All of the crew were careful and clearly expert in their work. Aroldo (hope I have the spelling correct) who examined the perimeters of our house and outbuilding deserves special mention. He removed several boards on our rear deck in order to inspect the foundation for any openings that would allow access to the crawl space. He found such an access point and sealed it with wire mesh and sealant. The new vapor barrier is heavy duty mil spec plastic, attached to the foundation with hardware and construction adhesive for the vapor barrier attached to the posts. Before leaving, the team set traps in each of the affected areas to ensure that any rodents that might have escaped or found possible entry points are eliminated. Attic Solutions' warranty provides for ongoing inspections for the next year to ensure the integrity of their work. At the end of the day, the crew performed a complete cleanup and removal of all the old insulation and other materials found in the work areas. Finally, even the owner was involved. There was a small crack in the plaster around a lighting fixture in our living room, perhaps due to a ceiling joist stepped on as part of the cleaning in the attic above. Angel took photos of the damage, and within a couple of days, the owner himself, Joshua, arrived and repaired the cracked area. I am happy to recommend this firm without qualification. read more

We had such a wonderful experience with the crew at Attic Solutions. In one day they cleaned out all of the old, blown-in insulation and rat feces in our attic, sanitized the area, sealed any holes where rodents could enter, and then laid new batt insulation. They also cleaned our crawl space and laid a moisture barrier to dry out the soil to keep any odors. Our crawl space now smells fresh and clean. So happy with my experience with Attic Solutions and Joshua! I called them for a free inspection because I was hearing noises in the roof. Joshua came by to inspect and was so friendly and helpful! After walking around the house and inspecting the roof he told me that likely the noises are coming from above the roof, and not in the house. The odor of rats in our crawl space became more and more noticeable in hot weather. I didn't want to go in there on my own to see how bad it was. Thanks to Attic Solutions, I didn't have to. They did a great job at a fair price. They cleaned up all the rat mess and replaced insulation (500 sq. ft.) They found the well-hidden 1-1/2" rat entrance hole behind a downspout under the deck and plugged it. The only way to find something like this is by a detailed inspection from the inside which is what they did. After it was plugged, we caught 4 large rats in a few days. They couldn't escape and when they got hungry enough, they went for the traps. We also caught 2 mice who were eating the bait from the rat traps without setting them off. We had a zoo living underneath our house! We found Attic Solutions online and read the wonderful reviews from previous clients and decided to give them a call. We met with Daniel to go over our situation and could not have been happier with his interest in fully understanding our issues. He promptly provided us with a quote and a time frame in which to complete the work. We received a second quote from another company which was a bit cheaper but based on the reviews and in-person customer service we decided to go with Attic Solutions. Rigo and his team showed up the following week and got right to work securing the entire crawlspace perimeter of our home where the rats and skunks were cruising through. Additionally, we needed a few air ducts totally replaced ( same day!!) as rats had made their way inside- We appreciated the full scope inspection and fix. My home is over 60 years old, the insulation that was in the attic was a mix of ~1400 sq ft of original loose fill, old fill and some random batts installed by previous owners. Attic Solutions provided a free estimate which included removal of all old/existing insulation, install of new batts, sanitizing and rodent proofing. It was among the most reasonable prices I saw compared to 4 or 5 other similar services. Booked it - the team was responsive and helpful with booking with a quick turn around. Crew showed up at 830 put floor covering down, wall covering up they got busy. Attics are hot, like really hot and they had 4/5 guys cycle in 20 or 30 minute time slots to keep working while allowing for breather. Everybody was friendly, respectful of the home and wore masks. Firstly, he clearly explained to me the difference between different levels of vapor barriers. I decided to install the highest level which is crawlspace encapsulation. This business did a good job getting rid of our rat problem and replacing the insulation in our attic. We were having a serious rat infestation, and after another company set poison traps (big mistake) and we encountered a live rat stumbling disoriented through our kitchen, I'd had enough. I messaged Joshua on a Saturday night; he responded immediately and Gabriel came out the next day, on Sunday, to assess the problem. Gabriel was early (he called first to make sure that was OK), which was great because I avoided the usual waiting around during the two-hour window. Gabriel gave me a quote that seemed comparable to competitors, though I do wonder if I should've negotiated more with him. I think he may have gone down if I'd done so. However, I was impressed that he took the time to look at everything and assess the job fully before giving the quote. We had difficulty finding the entry to the attic, and Gabriel patiently searched with us until we found it so that he could look up there, instead of just giving up and providing a stab-in-the-dark estimate as other companies had done. Considering the work that needed to be done, the health hazard that it posed to the crew, the disposal fee, and the special equipment needed, I found the price to be reasonable. I was glad that the company is bonded and insured (and was willing to pay a little more for that) because the health risks of this type of work do not seem insignificant. The crew dealt with respiratory hazards, and disposal of rodent carcasses and urine-soaked fiberglass insulation. Rigo and crew came and were at the house from 9:30 a.m. to around 5:00 p.m. It was a dirty job. They had to remove all of the feces via special vacuum, and pee/blood soaked insulation in our 1000 square foot attic. They also had to sanitize the attic and rodent proof it. They also replaced all of the insulation and even insulated the entry to the attic, which had nothing previously. Further, they had to vacuum/sanitize our crawl space, woodshop, and garage and rodent proof those areas as well. They did a good job and left everything clean and fixed up. It was nice finding a company that could perform all of these services at once, instead of piecemeal (one for insulation, another for rodent proofing, another for cleanup) as some other companies had suggested. Attic Solutions did a great job cleaning up my attic, rodent proofing the attic and basement, and installing insulation. The attic had a huge amount of nasty old dusty insulation that was infested with mice. They vacuumed it all up and left it clean, and then screwed wire mesh over all the little gaps before putting in thick new fiberglass insulation. The price they gave me didn't change although it was more work then usual.
